Too many ongoing hassles

Dogs liked the food. However, every single month there was some issue with billing - received emails stating payment did not go through. I would check and there was nothing wrong with my form of payment. I was told the email was sent in error. But, in the meantime, I had reluctantly given a different form of payment and got charged twice for the same order (once on each payment source). I called and they refunded the $. However, we cancelled because we do not have time to constantly be calling and dealing with this. Subscriptions are meant to be convenient. It is sad because Badlands Ranch is incompetent. A good product won't cure that.

I bought two bags

I bought two bags. I was hard as rocks. My dogs would not eat it. I spent my own money to return. It. After three weks i called. They said i was supposed to call first to return it. How would i know that . So no return for me.

Be careful one may not know they are making multiple charges 😱

I signed I ordered too many by mistake I thought my purchases didn’t go through so I have multiple charges I hope they fix it soon I need to buy healthy food for my Fantantic Fur baby

Very dark, soft & smelly poops

I have a 7 lb 21 month old Chiweenie. He loves the Badlands Ranch Complete/Chicken. He’s been on it exclusively for two months. I feel like I’m swimming in dog sh!t. I went from having a fur baby who hasn’t messed in the house since being fully house trained to cleaning up runny, smelly poop multiple times a day. He used to sleep with us, but he can’t make the it through the night without going off somewhere to empty his bowels. I hate to do it, because he loves the food, but I’ve switched him back to Pro Plan sensitive stomach effective today. He’s long-haired, and I can’t keep bathing him everyday because of soft poops that he gets all over his beautiful coat around his bum. I have four bags of Badland’s Complete that’ll go to waste, sadly.

DO NOT RECOMMEND

They have great customer service UNTIL you want to cancel. They charged me after I cancelled and refuse to give a refund...they would rather keep my $95 than do the right thing. To make it worse, my dog loved the taste of this stuff but I cancelled because my vet said it was bad for her liver. STAY AWAY FROM THIS FOOD AND COMPANY

Old dog w/cancer loves it & so do I

My 14 year old dog has been eating this food for a couple years now. I found this food for him when he began cancer treatment and his digestion was ruined. I was desperate to find something he would eat and would work with his system. This food worked. He has healthy 'business' and his energy level is great. He's still taking the chemo, and he needs a little less than recommended, but he eats it. I used it as his treats as well for a long time, but recently he seemed to understand he was being tricked. So I order the buffalo bag as his treats instead. I really recommend this, if you can afford it. If it's tough financially, the dry food can be amended with a moist food or used as a topper. Or stop using the garbage treats and use this, the food is that good.

I purchased a super20 subscription a…

I purchased a super20 subscription a while ago. Months ago. I only need two jars a month but there wasn’t an option for that and since I have two dogs, I was forced to get the 3 jar subscription. When I first signed up, it said I could pause my order any time, any month I wanted. I tried multiple times, different months, to pause my subscription because of my surplus of jars and how expensive the product it is. I wanted to use of some of the product before more came. There was an option for it online but nothing would ever go through. Kept saying couldn’t be processed. Well, I went on to try again and now the option is gone and says I have to call. So I do. I told them, all I want to do is pause for one month because I have a surplus of jars. She said she would do it. Looks up my account and says she can’t do it because I purchased through PayPal. I said that’s BS and poor customer service. I explained how this whole thing keeps changing. It shouldn’t matter what my payment method is because my information is still my information. So I requested if we could change my payment method and she said yes but I would have to cancel my current subscription and restart another one… which again is bs and poor customer service imo. It shouldn’t be hard to update payment information on a current account with longevity. So I got mad and said cancel the whole thing. I’m undecided if I even want to restart this subscription because it’s expensive and honestly, after my dogs being on it for multiple months now… I’m not sure if it’s even making any difference in their health. Nothing is overtly obvious. I wouldn’t mind continuing the product if perhaps they were true to their word, when you first sign up and they were forth coming on the stipulations to pausing for a month. Not to mention the price is expensive and if I could customize the amount of jars I need, instead of being forced to purchase more than I need, to accommodate for dose, for two large breed dogs, and not be forced to pay more per month because of it. The whole thing is ridiculous and based on all the poor customer service reviews I have been reading, on multiple different sites, is feels like a money grab. And when a product starts to feel like a money grab you start to question the quality and sincerity of the actual product and person pushing it.

Didn't Honor Return Policy

I tried a bag of Badlands dog food for my elderly dog who wasn't eating. She ate the food I put with her other food. I bought 2 more bags but she wouldn't eat it. I called to return the bags per their pledge to rerefund and take it back. Long story short they told me to keep it and they'd refund 1/3 of my cost saving me shipping. I was disgusted but tired of haggling. I'm giving the food to my sister whose pup loves as a reward. It's too expensive for her buy. Just be aware...they really don't want it back.

WORST customer service ever

WORST customer service ever! My dog has an allergy, so I have been trying to find out if their food contains ONE certain ingredient. I keep getting the same answer, that their formula is a secret and they can't tell me that. They keep telling me to ask my vet. How would the vet know their ingredients? I have asked for a supervisor, but I just get the same girl over and over. I would NOT recommend buying this ungodly expensive dog food if they can't even tell you what is or is not in it.

Review of the Business Process

This review is not for the quality of the product but it’s Cust Service and its online process. I ordered BADLANDS RANCH SUPERFOOD for my dog from a commercial while watching I TV. During the checkout for 3 bags of food for $114.59 I was prompted prior to completing my checkout that I could order six bags and receive an additional multi item discount per bag. I agreed to purchase the 6 bags totaling $157.87. After completion, I realized I was charged for both orders with 2 different order numbers. I did not approve 2 orders. Couldn’t call customer service as it was late in the evening so I waited until morning and called at approx. 6:30am, PST. (CS OPENS AT 6 am) to cancel the $114.59 order and ask why they kept that order when I changed it prior to the completion of my original purchase. I didn't need or want 9 bags of dog food that have an expiration date. After an explanation that the order couldn’t be cancelled- it had already shipped (really?) and that other customers understood the ordering process, I ended the call abruptly. Approximately 30 minutes after this communication I received confirmation of the shipment. If the order processed before communicating with CS-I would have expected to receive shipping confirmation before that. Should of checked prior reviews before ordering- my mistake. Hope my dog can tolerate 9 bags of food or they will be donated.

The company can improve in 2 ways

The company can improve in 2 ways - make the first
order small so it is a sample and does not cost over $100. Second another reason to only send a sample is that I was charged $20 from AZ to CA via USPS shipping.....people who live further east have a lot more to pay. Return shipping is not an industry standard. Some companies return the full refund and ask the customer to donate the dog food not eaten....great idea! I'm guessing they need to show the animal shelters receipt of food. Since dogs can be and are fussy, sending over 100 dollars of food for dog to try is crazy. My dog ate it for two days, refused to eat it again and had diarrhea. She is 8 year old Maltese mix . I had to pay for vet visit to take care of her reaction. Do you make your money on the shipping? First, for $100 you get enough food for about two weeks if that and my dog who I bought it for is 40lbs.
Second, she is a picky eater and she remained picky. She’s eaten a little of it but I also mixed with fresh pet. There is no possibility that this food should be as expensive as it is
Third, SUPER FOOD? When people say words like that it means nothing! It’s like some human products say proprietary blend! That means it’s a mix of stuff they put in there and it’s bull!
This stuff is just a better looking kibble.
$100 for 3 small bags is ridiculous, I would have to spend $200 a month for a 40lbs dog and that’s if she was crazy about it and gobbled it up.
I tried this cause my dog is 8 and is a picky eater and it bothers me when she doesn’t eat, so in my opinion this is not worth it at all

Absolutely the best!!

My 2 Shitzus have been eating this dog food for about 2 years now. I can’ say enough about the changes in them. 1 is 9 and the other is almost 7. Their energy, skin, and overall health has shown to be amazingly better. We will NEVER feed them any other food. The best decision we ever made for them. Sending thanks and love ❤️

Food Made My Puppy Sick

The food made my puppy sick and they will not provide return label making a return very expensive. I think their return policy was better in the past according to someone e who recommended this company. However, I am finding it difficult. I will not be doing business with Katherine Heigl’s company! VERY DISAPPOINTED!
Badlands did finally communicate with me and refunded the cost of treats.

Food goes bad quickly

Food goes bad quickly. I opened a bag still within the expiration date and it smelt and was dried out. I called, emailed the customer service over 10 times. They won't even respond. Terrible customer service.

While there food is great & ppl who answer phone are nice. I constantly have an issue w/ getting my food from delayed days to courier not delivering to my house. Me & my friends have the same issue not just me. I’ve complained so many times & no fix. The CEO seems not to care for some reason. Very dissatisfied customer

Terrible experience...not worth the cost

We have had a terrible experience with Badlands, unfortunately. We were very excited for this product. The orders were too small and extremely expensive but we were willing to pay because it felt like the healthiest option for our pup. We adjusted our orders to increase the amount and shrink the days between deliveries. Orders just stopped being delivered, stating that they were shipped and then just disappeared. We had to supplement with Amazon orders for over a month at over $100 a bag each time while we waited, and the only customer service offered was a 30% refund and to try shipping again. I have since cancelled my membership and will NOT be recommending this to anyone. What a disappointment.

I have just received my extremely…

I have just received my extremely expensive small tiny bags. I should have read the bad before purchasing. Then I would have known what size I am actually overpaying for. It smells a bit fishy to me. My dog ate it but she was reluctant. As much as I paid for that small amount there was no way I wasn't going to make her eat that.
