I have a 4 year old Golden Retriever and I recently transitioned her solely on Badlands Ranch diet because I want her to have a healthy weight and long happy life. She absolutely loves it and given that she is very picky and easily gets bored with her food, I would say that this one is a keeper! I don’t even have to put any toppers, just her vitamins. My only concern is that her poop has been soft, not watery but definitely way softer than when she was on her previous diet. I followed the feeding guideline but wondering whether I need to cut back on her portions? Anyone have the same problem?

I don't really have a beef so to speak with the dog food itself, but the customer service to try and stop anything is next to trying to stop AOL. I got hung up, then the phone was "busy"....I had stopped my subscription but it kept going. Finally I got on a live chat and that *hopefully* is going to work.

Positives: My dogs seem to really like the food. Have only tried the beef flavor so far.
Negatives: Pricey and the bags are small. I use the food more as a topper it would be too expensive otherwise. My reason for 4 stars is the shipping takes forever and the tracking info they give you is useless so you never really know when the product will arrive. I ordered a batch of food about 8 days ago and still don't have tracking info nor do I have any idea when I'll get the food. I've tried several companies including Farmers dog and Ollie and Badlands is definitely the worst when it comes to delivery.

I tried to skip a subscription since I still had 9 un-opened bags of food. One of my dogs passed due to cancer, so I was not going thru the food as quickly. I tried to skip this order, and the site had a 'error' and did not allow me to skip. I tried to cancel and the site had an 'error' and would not allow me to cancel. I emailed them with my subscription number and asked them to cancel. Not only did they not reply or cancel, they went ahead and shipped anyhow. I am so pissed with this company. Kathy Heigl is a thief and should not be trusted. I cannot express enough how dishonest this company is. Do not trust them, they will rip you off.

Just purchased six bags of this dog food. My mistake I thought they were 24 pound bags not 24 ounce bags. Got the little box on my porch and couldn’t imagine what it was. Due to the high price, I decided to return it. Called immediately, same day. I was told I was responsible for shipping it back. I saw nothing like that on the advertising. I just saw 90 day guarantee. I purchased six bags since the pricing was best. Cost me $$35 for this return through USPS. I’m furious! I really trusted Katherine Heigl. Totally feel misled! In reading the reviews now I see so many people had the same issue. Buyer beware!

Tried Badlands, my 11 year old Flat Coated retriever loved it. Now 3 months later he still heads up to his dish in the morning waiting for his food. He is excited to eat every time. It's a little expensive but I won't feed my dog unhealthy food. Hope he lives to 17 like my last one.

Bear is a LGD. We use a slow feeder bowl and feed him several times during the day. When he is hungry he stares at me then looks at his bowl. Once I give him his dry food, if I not fast enough, he sits by the table where I keep the Badlands food. He will not eat until I have added the Badlands food to his meal. He loves it!

Henry loves Badlands Ranch super food. I've been adding it as a topper to his old food to gradually add it to his diet. Now, he takes a mouthful of his food, drops it on the floor in order to make it easier to pick the pieces of Badlands Ranch food!! He won't touch his food until I add your super food!!!

I have 2 17 year old Red Heelers, AKA Australian Cattle Dogs who had become slow moving and lack their normal vivacious personalities. After just 2 week i see that old personality coming back in both my girls. They run and play more and are so much more aware of everything going on at my farm. Thanks for giving me my girls back.

Lodi, our I yr old Goldendoodle, is loving her new food! We have tried both the Fish/Turkey and the Beef. Shake the bag and she comes running. She has been on her new food for a little over a month and she is already scratching less and has calmed way down. I anxious to see what other changes are in store for her in the months to come.

My dog really loves the taste of the treats and I like the size of them so he doesn't eat too much and gain weight.

My dog Tucker is 12 years old and has been eating the same food for his entire life. We feed him twice a day and he eats whenever he wants. Ever since we started giving him some Badlands Ranch beef, he runs to his bowl. He has been a little more active lately and seems to be getting up a little easier. Unfortunately, he is a 90 pound guy and I am still feeding him some of his old food as well. I ordered the new Salmon & Turkey flavor since it looks like it might have better benefits for older dogs. I am hopeful the blend of the old food and new will improve his life and keeps him happy and healthy for a long while!! Thanks for taking the time to develop such a healthy food for our furry friends!

Finley is a finicky eater and I have tried several brands of food of which he would eat a few times and ultimately refuse to eat them out of the blue. So far he is continuing to be excited to eat each time I feed him. Perhaps it's because I am able to switch between beef, chicken, etc. So he doesn't get bored. His coat is amazing also and his stools are uniform and regular. I feel justified spending a little more.

My terrier mix female is 12 years old and has never cleaned her kibble up before starting your product. She is anxious to eat and cleans entire meal. I mix it half and half with her regular kibble. Fantastic!

His constant paw licking has stopped. He has more energy.

Currently I’m using Badlands as a topper or a little more and Skye loves it! She will work through her dish picking out the Badlands first. I’ve noticed her coat is shinier and her paw licking is subsiding.

She used to graze and didn’t eat her food when put down. I don’t want to leave it out. Now she eats right away, was surprised. It was recommended to me because of ingredients. Upon visiting my veterinarian and showed her the food, I wanted to change to online she also thought ingredients were great. She hadn’t heard about this food, now she has. She will be happy to hear it’s changed my dogs eating habits. She has only been on it a week and a half as we were traveling. So far so good I am hoping this helps her to stop licking her paws 🐾 and keeps that dog smell down. Even though she gets groomed monthly. I think our dogs are part of our family and should be feed healthy diets!
