Banahosting.com is a scam operation

Banahosting.com is a scam operation. There is no way to contact them over the phone and they will not reply to your emails. They conspired with another local scam artist and so-called web designer in south Florida named Marilyn Chirinos and blocked our access to our own website which we paid for since last summer. Find another service like GoDaddy or Wix where you can actually speak with a human being.

No support at all

We host a big website with them. Goes fine. But trust me. When their server goes down, they never respond to the tickets and wont attend the phone for hours. I wish I could upload screenshot of their support how they respond to urgent and high priority queries. As if they dont give a damn.

Good for shared services, average for vps/dedicated

We have several years as Banahost client, overall we think they are good (3/5), need some improvements...

Positive things
+Their shared and reseller hosting services are still excellent (those using cpanel are easy to manage)
+Their prices are cheap and logic
+Their time response is decent (thru tickets)
+Their uptime is good, probably over 99%
+They offer good discounts for yearly payments

Negative thing
-Their VPS and dedicated servers are fast but wrongly configured
-The webuzo control panel is nothing but a pain: slow, non-working sections (weird redirections), false indications (like the size of your disk), old looking, etc.
-The FTP accounts and the backuply (service for backups) never worked on vps. Period.
-The customer service 80% of the time solve tech issues but there are about 20% of the time they just say "it's fixed" and clearly it's not. We used to send a tech ticket about 2-3 times per year.
-The setup for the VPS and dedicated are ridiculous, they take 3 to 5 days to finish it..
-From time to time, they make unnotified migrations of the shared, vps or dedicated servers and some services got strange or lost misconfigurations (specially on webmail)

Not recommended

I have 3 services with them at the moment. 2 VPS servers and a shared one. The VPS are giving us nothing but trouble.
We're planning to move all our websites to a different hosting company, as Banahosting's customer service is simply horrible.
I do not recommend this company. Save yourself some headaches.

Excellent service and price-quality ratio

I'm very happy with the service. I update my websites approximately 14 hours a day and have never had any downtime. I only had a minor speed issue (about a 3-second delay) a few days ago, but I asked to be switched to another server, and they were very kind and prompt, and now everything works super fast. I've been using them continuously for over a year now, and I highly recommend them.

BanaHosting Forced Me to Upgrade and Then Refused Refund – Beware!

I have been a loyal BanaHosting customer for years, hosting multiple websites on their shared hosting plans.
Suddenly, without any prior warnings, they forced me to leave all my shared hosting accounts because of a newly enforced policy. They gave me only 24 hours to move or face suspension.

I was pushed into buying a much more expensive dedicated server directly from them — believing I had no other choice to keep my business alive.
After upgrading and suffering huge costs, I lost my clients and was left with no use for the service.

When I requested refunds for the canceled shared hosting plans and the new dedicated server (still within 30 days), BanaHosting refused everything.
They hid behind technicalities and offered no real customer support, no flexibility, and no respect for loyal customers.

In short:
Forced me to upgrade under pressure
Provided no refunds whatsoever
Ignored the spirit of fair service
Caused severe financial loss

Think very carefully before trusting BanaHosting with your websites or your money.
What happened to me can happen to anyone. Once you pay, you are on your own.

This company hosts fraudulent sites

This company hosts fraudulent sites, such as forobeta, they steal my credit card information and use it to pay banahosting, to pay netfli, disney, max, I could access a netflix account, I could see the email, I investigated and they are users of forobeta, I check and it is a place where they sell accounts with stolen cards, now I will make a formal complaint against you for hosting a site of thieves.
