Everything simple
Everything simple apart from out of office drop off that is not available.
Staff were efficient and courteous and processed up without heavy upselling.
Car was clean and ready and close to the office. Shuttle was made available.

I keep maintaining my opinion that it is simply not fair to not offer a payment options which doesn't cost your customer. As you will agree we are all going through testing times and that you make a profit in charging for credit card usage where you don't have any other option without a fee for the customer is simply not good. You will create revenue through this process. There is simply enough evidence that your banking system will not charge you to use them. You are simply too big and will be too smart paying a bank using them. Sure, you might pay a monthly fee, but this will be so small you should honor the charge. Anyway, the last of my 6 hires or so was ok. The greeting process of the lady on duty can do with some more training. We were three people in the office when she entered after I waited for 15 minutes already and she couldn't get herself to say good morning. I think this is rude and shouldn't happen. What is wrong with people in the hospitality not to say "Hi"? Anyway, she did her job and actually surprised me when she walked out with me to the car. All other CSO's during my 8 weeks in Darwin have not done this. I found the power steering was very stiff, however she didn't think so as the car was only serviced recently. What she may not have considered is that even a car service can create more issues after than before,,,, anyway the gent who took the car back from me agreed the steering was stiff. I hope I could assist you in finding an issue if there is one. One last thing: I have entered your office three times where there was no staff in the office. The door wasn't locked and I think Darwin is not the best place to invite people who have the wrong intention to enter freely an office. At one instance there were all keys in a box available for anyone who wanted them......you can do better.

We understand your point regarding cash; however, not accepting cash for car rentals is the prevailing standard among car rental companies. If we did accept cash, there would need to be much higher deposits, physical tender increases the risk of mistakes being made, and when payment is made using a credit or debit card, there is a firm trail for payments to be followed in the rare instance a mistake is made, and it makes refunds or returns far simpler. This is not to say that you are wrong in your assertions, just that we have considered the pros and cons and have erred on the side of accountability and security.
We apologise for the steering being stiff, which would have been frustrating during your rental, and it sounds like you've had a mixed experience with our staff, so we'll be discussing how we can best help customers feel welcomed in the future.
There are instances where the situation demands our staff be out moving vehicles, collecting customers using the shuttle, or inspecting a returned vehicle, which may mean the desk is unmanned. Another reason why we've decided not to utilise cash transactions, but if the keys are open during those times, that is another point that will be addressed with the Customer Service Team, so it doesn’t happen again
