More than 2 months already until today, this is the timeline: shoes shipped after 3 weeks, 2 weeks to treat my claim due to quality issues, 2 weeks to be back to Barker via the carrier DHL, now, 2 weeks after reception of the returned shoes. No replies after 5/6 emails. Totally speechless. Still waiting for the refund. Never seen a service client so passive. To be honest the online shopping is based on confidence and barker has totally loss it.

Also I always buy a size 8 but these seemed a lot bigger than all the previous pairs purchased.

I ordered / paid for shoes 10 days ago and am still waiting delivery. It seems a bit out of touch to be asked how I’m experiencing my purchases when they are yet to arrive.

Very bad so far. Ordered on 3rd December. Today is 14th December. DPD Reference invalid. Emailed 3 times no response. Customer service number - non-existent. Rings and rings. Never a response. Very very disappointing experience. Wondering if the shoes will ever show up.Order ref UK-142254

Nothing received as of 14 Dec 25 and no communication from Barkers or DPD until the email requesting a review.
Having seen all the 1* reviews with people waiting 11+ days I can see there is a problem in processing orders. Not going to waste my time sending angry emails. Very disappointing but please just try to resolve asap.

I paid for my shoes on 3rd Dec 25 and still haven’t received them yet!! They gave me a tracking number, DPD says this tracking number is wrong. Contacted Barker on chat several times over the last 5days they say the same thing “our team will be in touch within few hours” and nothing happened. I emailed Barker Shoe three times and they did not even respond to my email. Very bad experience at this time of the year!! There is no phone number to call them on which makes it more annoying. Just to state that my bad experience is got nothing to do with the design and the quality of Barker Shoes as they are one of top shoe makers in the UK. This is my order #UK-142230.

I sent the same boots back, size 10 on the 5th Dec, and still haven't heard anything from Barker shoes, so still waiting for my refund, as I have kept the size 10.5.
Nobody answers the phone when I ring.

Iam normal 9 in F fitting after contact with customer services they recommended 8.5 as these are G fitting perfect fit.Nice comfortable boots ,short break in period.Pleasantly lighter than expected.Overall pleased.

Now it's getting worse. Yesterday Barker shoes send AI generated response how if I send them order number they will sort out the issue momentarily.... Barker Shoes currently appears to operate without any functioning customer service. There is no telephone contact, no named representative, and no effective support channel. Customers are funnelled exclusively to an automated chatbot, which repeatedly advises contacting the company by email. Those emails, in turn, receive no response whatsoever. This circular process gives the clear impression that customer contact is being deliberately deflected rather than managed.
For a brand trading on “heritage” and “craftsmanship,” this level of post sale support is indefensible. The absence of any human accountability, combined with prolonged silence, would be unacceptable in any consumer business let alone one charging premium prices.
From a consumer perspective, this raises serious questions about Barker’s operational standards and compliance with basic expectations of customer care. At present, the company behaves less like a heritage English shoemaker and more like an automated storefront designed to avoid responsibility. I would strongly caution prospective customers accordingly.

Still waiting for the shoes over 2 weeks later. Courier failed to deliver and returned shoes.
Called helpline- no pick up.
Asked about a redelivery, if delivery fees will apply again - still awaiting a response.
Playing e-mail tag but nothing is getting resolved.
Great shoes - terrible customer service.

I have been asked to write a review on a product which I have not received and cannot get any information on the status of my order. I have repeatedly visited the website and raised queries on the chat option to no avail and also sent an email to the address provided which was not responded to. Brought a pair of Luton High Shine Shoes, delivered within two days. Absolutely beautiful shoes, the only downside was couldn’t get my extra wide feet into the !
Wanted them for parading with my Regiment Association.
Had to return them on Tuesday last, so went to the factory shop in order to see if I might get a wide fitting shoe of a similar ilk. Alas it was not to be !
If only!
If only I could afford to have a pair made to order!

Have been buying shoes from Barker for 10+ years and to this point had been happy.
However the aftersales service from my recent purchase has been nothing but shocking. Have tried to contact customer services through the chat option and have also sent emails, nothing back at all for the last 10 days, absolutely zero response. My advice purchase elsewhere, I will be in the future.

I already have two pairs of Barkers with leather soles which I wear regularly. I needed a pair with the Dianite sole to wear in winter and the Kelmarsh is ideal. Fits perfectly and was delivered very quickly.
