Filed a section 75. They owe me nearly £800!!! Pay me my money!!! They have no idea. (drop shipper)

Bought an inverter, was told all three were damaged and I would have to be refunded.
Ordered one from elsewhere (more expensive)
Then the one from them turned up.

They let me return it at there cost but I'm out of pocket now for time and money.
Won't be bothering again with them.
2 weeks later, still not refunded me.
Can't contact them.
Section 75 filed.

Placed an order for a noco 65w fast charger, £37.99 + vat. Payed and got my invoice. Today without any correspondence at all, my order was cancelled and my payment refunded. Thinking maybe this was out of stock I checked there website. No still selling it, bnt now for £74.99. Don't deal with this sham company. Thanks for wasting my time.

Wrong item sent – still no replacement

I ordered a product from Battery Group via B&Q, but they sent me the wrong item. I returned it on 26 September, and since then I have received no update and no replacement. For a small £12 item, I have already wasted too much time. Very poor service and lack of communication.

Should have read the reviews more carefully!

My experience with this company is absolutely shocking. I ordered an item on the 15/09/2025. the courier returned the item to them before it ever got to me because they stated there was a problem with the item. I have yet to receive a refund from them. They are impossible to contact on the phone ( wait 15 minutes then goes through to answer phone. The only way of contact is email which is extremely slow on their side and very indecisive. I have had to escalate this through my credit card which is even more of my time. My advice would be go to another company that is honest, reliable and trustworthy.

Strongly recommend

Helpful website, decent price for a quality product, next day delivery for a well packed battery. Ten minute job to change the battery over, (and another 10 mins to recode the radio). Car started right up like a good 'un.

very poor returns response

so order ordered the wrong battery as there were two types listed for my car. my fault yes but trying to return the battery has to be one of the worse experiences of my life,
it is a waste of time the company having a telephone number as no one answers it event though i have tried calling it in excess of 15 tines over various days, the email responses dont answer the questions that i have raised.
i returned the battery asking for a refund and 7 days after the battery being delivered back to them i am still chasing the refund

yes they were cheaper than others but if i had know it was going to be this much hassle i would rather had spent the extra few pounds at another supplier

Bought a battery from them after 6…

BATTERY GROUP
Bought a battery from them after 6 months the battery failed. had runaround with them wanting £20 for the battery returned for testing, as the place was not far from me I returned it to their counter they contacted me a week later to say the battery wouldn't hold charge "NO SHIT SHERLOCK" so they basically said it was my fault as the 6 month old maintenance free battery was not maintained correctly. Im a mechanic by trade what other maintainane do you need other than using the battery on you car on a daily basis
Their message
During testing, we attempted to charge the battery up to 12.2V. Unfortunately, it did not hold beyond 11.4V at 0% health, which indicates that the issue is not related to a manufacturer fault or a dead cell. Instead, the results suggest the battery has been affected by other factors.
Batteries do require regular charging and maintenance to remain in good health. In many cases, performance issues arise when they are not used or charged consistently over time. It’s also important to note that usage patterns play a big role in battery health — factors such as the length and frequency of your journeys, the condition of the vehicle, whether high-drain features are used often, or even something as simple as lights being left on can all contribute to reduced battery performance.

Based on our findings, it appears that proper maintenance was not consistently carried out, which unfortunately has impacted the battery’s condition. As outlined in our terms and conditions, issues caused by lack of maintenance do not fall under the manufacturer’s warranty, which means we are unable to offer a replacement on this occasion.

We truly value you as a customer and appreciate your understanding in this matter. If you would like, we’d be happy to provide you with some best-practice guidance on maintaining your next battery to help extend its life and avoid similar issues in the future. Please don’t hesitate to let us know if that would be helpful.
Thank you once again for your time and understanding.

Hi Sandra you are not as sorry as me.
You don't have to tell me how to use a car battery my profession Is a mechanic and what you are saying is a load of rubbish cells can go dead on batteries even when used correctly as this battery has been. I change batteries in my job every week and have come across this numerous times.
It seems like you come up with putting the blame on me for not using the battery properly and not maintaining it. If I am not mistaken it is a maintenance free battery that was six months old when it failed for whatever reason one day it was ok the next day it wasn't. I told you the battery wouldn't hold charge. Other than being on a car that is used daily what other maintenance is required you tell me. So the statement you have come up with broad brushes all faults so you don't have to replace the battery, its as easy as that.

I have now looked at your feedback and done a review of your company online and it seems this is what you do to people who return batteries, you have not got a very good customer relations related to warranties. Im disgusted to say the least, what happened to good will you are screwing me out of £95
I will be contacting eBay and seeking professional advice on the matter
DO NOT BUY FROM THEM.

Great delivery time but website…

Great delivery time but website recommended a battery that was completely in the wrong size. Didn’t have access to my car so ordered based on recommendation. I take the blame for that I guess but when trying to return it was almost impossible to get a timely response. Online forms that don’t work is your only option and a phone line that no one answered. Terrible experience - if only they could respond to customers as quickly as they sent out their products.

WEBSITE INFORMATION ON STOCK AVAILABILITY IS NOT ACCURATE

Further to my recent review on a cancelled order I have been in contact with the company. They deserve credit for quick responses and explanations. However, the result is that despite the items showing as in stock and my receiving an email stating my order was with the Post Office, it appears that it was only when the wharehouse came to fulfill my order that they found there were no items in stock - hence the cancellation. As previously stated it is very disappointing that when ordering you cannot be sure that the website information is accurate.
