Scam; involves debt collectors!

After informing Be2 that I wanted to cancel my membership via email I am now receiving letters from debt collectors for unpaid membership and legal fees.
Avoid this site...

This is as dodgy as it gets.....you join up and find it is dodgy so notify them in writing as per their policy, WITHIN TWO HOURS of joining, then multiple email follow ups that remain unanswered. Plus you try and delete your profile on the website as per their instructions and it DOESN'T LET YOU DELETE YOUR ACCOUNT! It actually says you are not allowed to delete your account when you hit DELETE.

I demanded a refund after 2 hours which I am well entitled to do, and NOTHING from be2.

The site is full of fake profiles, and interestingly enough, the entire time you are on the site, and I have tested it with phone, pc and Ipad with the same results.....while using the site no one engages you, but as soon as you leave the platform you get inundated with alerts and emails saying you have been viewed, sent a message, got a wave, new match etc, excessively at that. Then you go straight back on and nothing.

If you are then unfortunate enough to actually engage in chat with someone it appears that's a scam. I had two supposedly separate women contact me, and the parallels are astounding, from the style of writing, to the instruction to communicate via private email rather than phone, then both women run their own businesses, yet on forensic investigating, both their websites are commissioned by the same company overseas, utilise the same template and are hosted by the same company....seriously the odds of that are the same as winning lotto AND getting struck by lightning at the same time!

Now here is my review:

Horrible website full of fakes, no profiles are real. I have paid one month subscription then after few logins stopped using the service. These scumbags tried to trick me by sending me multiple emails asking for penalty money which i supposedly owe as they automatically extended my subscription. I have been lucky as my card expired few days after i bought monthly subscription so they weren't able to take any payments.
I have paid for solicitors advice and he told me to block all email communication with them and report it as spam and ignore any letters as they have no legal grounds to ask for any money due to the fact service is fake and they would have to physically take me to court and prove factual damages. DO NOT PAY THEM, IGNORE THEM AND TELL EVERYONE YOU KNOW ABOUT THIS SCAM SO THEY CANNOT SCAM ANY MORE PEOPLE!

Fraud

be2 is linked to C-Date and both are linked to Laetitia Pateau,

HSBC have contacted me to say this organisation fraudulently tried to take money from my bank account and this is a scam as they purposely do not have an in app option to cancel recurring subscriptions which people have not signed up to and they do not make cancelling easy.

Horrible site lots of fake accounts, premium is BS they say its unlimited access to other users but its up to 10 a day mostly not over 5.
Impossible to cancell membership had to change my credit card and they they sent the last outstanding payment to inkasso company ... so dealing with that now.

Cancellation nearly impossible!

Cancellation nearly impossible!! It took an entire week for the settings page to finally show a link to "edit subscription" just to show a form where we are supposed to print, sign, and fax it back to some overseas number. Who even knows how to fax things in this day and age? It's absurd. The funniest thing is in their Terms and Conditions they say they want to make cancellation "easy" by letting you hand in a written letter with your name, email address, country you sign up in, date, and signature via email attachment. I have submitted such a document 3 days ago to their customer service and still have received no reply back. I have signed up less than two weeks ago but honestly at this point I don't even care about a refund, I just want to know they will not auto-renew after the 6 month term is over. Just let me cancel my subscription... I really don't want to have my cancel my card over this. How is this behaviour even legal...

Be2 has fake profiles

Be2 has fake profiles. They want to charge you even for not using their service. They lure you the first month with a small price then they charge you 5 times more the second month without warning. They made it very, very difficult to unsubscribe in order to rip you off. They harass people to send them money for service they not use. They threaten with debt collectors and keep on harassing people.

I represent a handicapped friend, legally.
My friend's subscription was for 6 months. She was charged well over €300. As subscription she had chosen 6 months, non-repeatable according to her. However, Be2's "official rules" stipulate automatic repeat. She stopped using the website after about 3 weeks, as it turned out to be useless. After 6 months, she was charged again, this time €470! - The credit card issuing bank sided with Be2, despite the mountain of evidence against them. My friend lost €800 for nothing!

1 star is too much for this website. DO NOT CREATE AND ACCOUNT WITH THEM!!! If you don't like and give within the 14 days they will not give you your money back.

I did the mistake and now seems that I have to take legal action to have my money back.

I requested to cancel the subscription with less than 14 days as I am not interested to use your service, which means return my money back.

If I requested to "stop" the subscription that means no reccurance of payment and that I can do any time that I want but I requested to "cancel" which means no longer interested to use. As I did with the time required, I don't understand why is so difficult to have my money back.

The response that I received doesn't make sense.

I have not use your service since I requested to cancel, so can you please give my money back?

threatening solicitors letters

Be2 are now threatening me with court action if I dont pay 50€, when I joined about 5 years ago I paid for one month, as the month was coming to an end I couldn't cancel as I didn't want another month so to cancel I had to write to them giving all my details, address, dob etc , now this is where the problem started they now have my details and are now presuing me fir 50euros as they are saying I didn't cancel on time , using their website u cannot cancel online you have to write to them.
Now I'm saying to this scamming company I will see u in court, as I want my day in court to highlight this scam . Its disgraceful that you are trying to scam vulnerable lonely people this way rather then making it easy to cancel online. Bring it on be2 I'm in contact with hundreds of others. This has to be highlighted.

deceptive and misleading

Like many of the reviewers on this site - I was sucked in by intentional misleading pricing structure on this website. I have a screen shot - unfortunately I am unable to post to this review - but am posting in various other places on the internet to warn others.

The prices look like regular dating site prices - so I signed up for a month under what was listed as 'the monthly price'. It was not clear that this price had changed by the time my credit card was charged - and the website accepted my pin automatically.

These people know exactly what they are doing - and there site is designed to mislead people. If you open a drop down menu - in fine print it states that these prices are actually the weekly prices - so they times it by 4 to charge you for the month! Seriously - WHO DOES THAT??? No one - only a scam artist.

Sneaky robbers!!!!

Went to purchase a month & even hit 'pay'. Thank God my bank sent me a text to confirm the purchase (which they never do so this company must flag for a reason!) & the amount it was asking me to 'confirm to pay' was NOT what I had agreed to. I went back to this website & double checked & it 100% looks like it's 7e for 1 month but even you go to the next page it (VERY sneakily) says at the top of the page that the 7.50e price is only 1 week therefore you are "agreeing" to pay approx 29e for the month. That alone put me off this site for good. Sneaky robbers!!

Email, I then received from BE2 to my request for my money to be refunded:

'On 08.04.2022 you paid for a 6 months Premium Membership plan for the total price of 238.8 AUD. This corresponds to a weekly amount of 9.95 AUD.

When you purchased a Premium Membership, you saw the different options on the first payment page with the corresponding monthly amount (on mobile and app it showed the weekly amount). This is so you can see that Premium Memberships with a longer term are cheaper in total. After you selected the length of your membership, you were directed to the payment details page.

Before you entered your payment data, the weekly or monthly equivalents were displayed for a better overview but the amount was also shown as a single payment.

We're sorry if you overlooked the information about the full price to be paid.

We're sorry that you don't want to continue your membership but a withdrawal from your contract and a related refund are not possible.'

MY RESPONSE to this reply by BE2 SCAM DATING SITE is that this is NOT TRUE!!!

On the page where you select the membership, it clearly stated $9.95 FOR A 6 MONTH SUBSCRIPTION, not a weekly subscription for this amount. I am not the only one that has had the exact same experience. Any readers on this page just have to do a search of BE2 reviews and people have had the EXACT same experience of paying $9.95 for 6 months and then being SCAMMED for $238. I have had to cancel my debit card to avoid further payments.

The resolution is clear - GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK!!!
