Fraudulent Company. Do not risk your money!
Fraudulent Company! Buy from somewhere else as it's not worth the risk that you will end up with a damaged rug that they will then charge you $1000 to cover return fees.
I bought a vintage rug and it is clearly water damaged (discolouration covering 1/3 of the top and underside of the rug) and badly stretched out in the water damaged section leaving large bumps across the rug and it won't flatten out. Did not look like the images AT ALL. The photographs are professional images and the colours have been enhanced and any damage hidden.
After sending photographs to the contact email and detailing the damage they informed me that water damage is simply viewed as a normal imperfection in their vintage rugs. They have since told me that in order to return the water damaged rug I will need to pay $1000 (Australian dollars) in postage fees.
They will assuredly reply to this with a generic reply below stating that imperfections are normal in their vintage rugs and that this makes them unique and one of a kind. So unless you want a uniquely water damaged rug don't buy from this company!
If you are not willing to risk your money on buying a water damaged rug that can't be returned without having to pay almost the cost of the rug in the first place....buy somewhere else.

Issue with customer service
Update 12/14/22 - they finally reached out indicating that my emails went to their spam folder, which of course is possible, but it does not explain why my calls to their support center went to a voicemail and my messages remained unanswered. Also their messaging option on their website seems not to be working either.
Once they responded my order was shipped and is in transit. I changed my 1 star review to a 4 star review.
Below is my initial review:
I have yet to hear from customer service about my order ship status for an order I placed 7 days ago. They promised delivery within 4 business days. I have called and written emails and send messages via the message portal on their website. ZERO response. I now regret placing this order!
I am writing this review with the hope that I get a response to my inquiries from their customer service „department“, as it appears that they are checking and commenting to the reviews here with more expediency than their inbox!

I would not order from this company
I would not order from this company for many reasons: the photographs of my rug were not true to life; customer service was slow and unclear when I wanted to return the rug; the rug was faulty and I still had to pay return fees; it is not obvious that return fees are not covered when it is an online store. My return came to £145 - almost half of the value of the rug itself. A bad experience and I would not recommend or order from this retailer again.

One of a kind
The description, photos and background story really helped sell me on the rug without even seeing in person. Shipping was fast and the rug arrived in good condition. It is really beautiful and the vibrant colors bring my living room to life. Because it is vintage condition, I found a couple hairs on it. Regardless, I really liked the rug and would rather purchase a vintage piece than new production from a generic store.

Our beautiful vintage Moroccan rug arrived only five days after we placed the order. The website image matches the colors and condition. When we had an issue with or email address, a very nice person answered the phone and immediately helped fix the problem. We love Benisouk so much that we just ordered two poufs and can't wait to get them.
