NEVER shopping at Best Buy again!
I went into Best Buy Langford, BC specifically because I needed a new laptop quickly. I could have ordered the same item from Amazon or another retailer, but next-day delivery was the deciding factor in choosing Best Buy.
The store did not have the model I wanted in stock, but the sales associate assured me — after I asked them to confirm — that it would be delivered to my home the very next day. Based on that assurance, I proceeded with the purchase and paid over $3,000, fully expecting fast delivery.
I have now checked the tracking information and the delivery date has been pushed to January 5th — an 8-day delay. That is not even remotely close to what was promised and completely defeats the reason I chose Best Buy in the first place.
Had I been given accurate information upfront, I would have ordered elsewhere. At least with Amazon, I would have had a realistic 2-day delivery window. This experience feels misleading and has significantly damaged my trust in the information provided by the staff at this location. I would welcome a response from store management explaining how this happened and what can be done to make this right.

Experience is the worst!! Ordered a replacement power cord for my Asus Vivobook Go 15 and a Samsung cell phone on line. This was after speaking with a guy at Best Buy and said that order #16015204 would fit my computer. Power cord came today and does NOT fit!! Called the store to be informed this came from a seller on Marketplace!! I was never told this or would never have ordered it. The only way to get my money back is to return it to the seller and wait for a refund??? Not happening...it's being returned in person to Best Buy...they received my credit card charge so they owe me the money!! When we move into our new place the 4 TV's will now be bought from Leon"s. My experience with Best Buy Canada over the past four weeks has been one of the worst customer service failures I have ever experienced. This was not a single bad interaction. It involved nearly 20 chats and phone calls, many lasting well over an hour, all ending without resolution.
One of the most recent chats alone ran from around 11:00 PM until nearly 2:00 AM. I entered that session already exhausted after weeks of unresolved issues, and even then I spent over 75 minutes before receiving any meaningful response. I was transferred, kept waiting repeatedly, and forced to re-explain my situation multiple times because the agent mixed my case with other customers’ chats.
The problems themselves were entirely caused by Best Buy’s systems and processes:
• A delivery issue where an item was delivered to the wrong address, followed by weeks of back-and-forth. I was eventually told I could receive either a replacement or a refund. I explicitly requested a replacement of the identical item, yet a refund was issued without my consent, leaving me with no product, higher prices afterward, and the item later becoming unavailable.
• A separate purchase attempt where the BestBuy.ca website froze during the payment step while I had selected delivery. To avoid losing the items, I was forced to complete checkout using store pickup. I contacted Best Buy immediately to correct an outcome caused by their own website malfunction. The response from support and a supervisor was simply: “not possible,” “cancel and reorder,” or “go to the store.”
• Despite repeatedly explaining that the pickup choice was forced by a website bug, the supervisor kept reverting to irrelevant explanations, including claiming the product was “sold out online,” completely missing the point that it became sold out because I had already purchased it.
Throughout these interactions, the pattern was the same:
Long waits
Repeated misunderstandings
Scripted, copy-paste apologies
No ownership
No escalation
No corrective action
I requested a reasonable goodwill credit for the extraordinary amount of time wasted and inconvenience caused by Best Buy’s own errors. This was categorically refused, without review, despite clear documentation of weeks of disruption, late-night chats, emotional stress, and financial disadvantage.
What makes this especially frustrating is that these were simple issues that competent customer service could resolve quickly. Instead, Best Buy’s system seems designed to exhaust customers until they give up. The supervisor’s role added no value beyond repeating that “nothing can be done.”
After nearly four weeks, dozens of interactions, and hours lost late at night, I was left with:
No proper resolution
No accountability
No compensation
Complete loss of confidence in Best Buy Canada
If anything goes wrong with your order—delivery, website checkout, marketplace sellers, or stock handling—be prepared for weeks of effort and a customer service process that relies on apologies rather than solutions.

They are horrible. I placed an order on the 17th of December with the marketplace seller and they are just horrible. They don't respond. Their delivery is so slow, I'm still waiting for a refund for a TV that I didn't receive for Christmas, I'm so upset. I've talked to 3 different departments several times left several emails. Several correspondence, and I still don't have my money back because they can't get ahold of their marketplace seller. This is not a joke. This is $553. I'm waiting on and it's just ridiculous. Advise you not to deal with them at all. I'm going into the New Year and it looks like I'm still not going to have a refund. And as you know, it's been about 10 days. Ordered Tv online. Wanted to cancel. Email said, order received. Email had link to cancel or edit order. Under my account, order says in progress. Hit their cancel button and it failed. Tried again and it failed. Cancel button now gone. Stays still says in progress. Not shipped, no tracking number. Got online customer service after 90 minute wait. Best Buy decided to choose a sketchy third party service for Christmas/Boxing Day delivery (Metro Supply Chain Group e24) that is stealing packages. No help from virtual chat they force you to use; they redirect you to Metro e24, who cannot be reached. Best Buy also stopped providing e-mail contact to customers so that you cannot hold them accountable.

I cannot believe this!! We spent almost CAD3K on a three box (four item) equipment and we just received two of the three boxes and one of them was WET!!! Can you believe this spending all that money and BEST BUY cannot even have REAL carriers the delivery person was UNABLE to bring the three items because the car was too small and it did not fit!! The items are smaller than a TV!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have bought a dishwasher on Black Friday, and after three days I noticed that it was damaged. Right away I called the customer Service and against the consumer rights for the seller to resolve any issues, they prompted me to the manufacturer which took time but they sent a replacement note to Best Buy. Best Buy sat on it for more than 3 days doing nothing and although my 7 phone calls to customer service, my emails no one is doing nothing. The call center are doing their best but the escalation department and service agents literally do not care. I have a large appliance in my condo, during the holidays, no where to put it other than standing in the living room taking my kids play space ruining my family's holidays and well being. All that have been communicated to Best Buy which refuses to act, sitting on my $800 for over a month. No only would I not recommend anybody buying from there, I will seek legal advice!

FINAL UPDATE (Jan 2026): Best Buy has now issued a full refund of $451.99. To their credit, they also offered to honor the original sale price if I chose to re-order the tablet. However, due to the extreme stress and the fact that I had to involve the OPP and FedEx to get this resolved, I am not taking the offer. I simply do not trust their current delivery/carrier method for high-value items in my area. I’m glad to have my money back, but I will be shopping elsewhere in the future.

I just lost a 400.00 parcel that claimed to be delivered, but is nowhere to be found. I cannot get any customer help, I'm out the money and no product. I looked for the package as soon as it said it was delivered, can't find it anywhere. I would give it 0 if I could. I ordered a major appliance online with bestbuy they delivered the incorrect appliance and furthermore left me without a cooking vessel as they hauled away my old unit. They did not communicate with me enough and finally said it was their carriers mistake and to deal with the carrier. To date i still dont have my appliance and the carrier will only reiumburse the delivery fee.
