Very Poor Installation and No Resolution After Multiple Attempts
I chose to support a local business expecting care, pride in workmanship, and accountability. What I received was very poor.
From the outset, the installation was not delivered to a professional standard. Cameras were left at incorrect angles with no proper calibration, and the overall system was not fully tested before being signed off. I had to identify issues myself and request a return visit, which should never be the case on a paid installation.
The external work was particularly concerning. Wiring was left exposed, including across outdoor areas where it is vulnerable to damage, with no protective conduit used. At the front of the house, unnecessary holes were made and an external box was installed that is visibly misaligned and not appropriate for the property. The finish looks rushed and careless.
Internally, the same lack of attention to detail continued. Equipment was initially left untidily, and finishing work such as silicone application was completed to a poor standard. These are basic expectations on any professional job.
Functionality was also not delivered as expected. Notifications were not coming through to my phone. Instead of resolving this properly, I was told this was due to software or Apple, despite the fact the system and products were recommended and supplied as part of the installation. This reflects a failure to take ownership of the solution provided.
I was then advised that running new wiring would resolve the issues and that this work would be reliable and under warranty. I agreed and paid again based on that assurance. Despite this, the system still does not perform as expected, which makes it clear the root issue was not properly diagnosed or resolved.
Despite all of the above, I was sent the full invoice as though the job had been completed to standard. That shows a clear disconnect between what was delivered and what was charged.
When these issues were raised, there was no accountability. Instead of acknowledging the gaps and resolving them, the response was defensive, with the position that the system had been delivered to a high standard. That does not reflect the reality of the work or the outcome.
I made multiple attempts to resolve this directly and professionally. That opportunity was not taken.
I will now need to bring in others to correct the work at additional cost and time.
