For a property sales site, they seem to be very uninterested at actually selling the properties they have.

Beside the paperwork to get registered and verified, the actual respond from the service can be considered non-existing.

This results in properties dropping in price as the people who want to view it, can not get appointment.

The sellers lossing out on money as they "think" nobody has a interest in their properties (and they then need to drop price over long periods of "no-interest").

When actually people WANT to see the properties and ARE interested in buying the properties but BidX1 simply does not respond to phone calls or emails.

The service seems to be lazy and only interested in selling "done deals". Where people buy blind using their auction system (with consequences that other reviewers post about).

We have never seen a sales system this difficult to work with in all our years. Most companies want to sell, the guys are the first that seem to be reluctant to sell any property. What results in potential buyers simply giving up and buying other properties.

By the time there is enough accumulated "interest" for the company to finally do a auction, you end up with maybe one to zero buyers left (as you can tell the past auctions on properties have almost never any bids).

If you are a seller, you can pick one out of 100's others property selling companies and get a better result with more money in your pocket and a faster sales time.

Its not just the buyers the company is playing around with, its also the sellers.

So buyers AND sellers, beware ...

There is no option to give zero stars. These people give a whole new meaning to incompetent. As a prospective buyer I had to beg them for information. At no point was I kept updated on progress. The ad for the house was going up and down. Then the house was sold at a moment’s notice. I was unable to attend the auction. The house sold for about 50,000 less than I was willing to pay for it. Requests and queries went unanswered. Different agents contradicted each other. The whole thing was a shambles. You would want to be a fool to sell your property with them.

Beware of any property being sold by the vendor solicitor Beauchamps (30% of properties on BidX1).

20 months after purchasing a property I am still no closer to completing the sale.

The foreclosed previous owner had put an action on the title the day before we were originally closing 20 months ago (this could have also been prevented if bidx1 didn't take a week to give my banks surveyor access to the property)

20 months later, Beauchamps do not respond to emails or phone calls regarding the progression of litigation.

They refuse to return my life savings (10% deposit) and to top it off squatters have broken in and are now living in the property.

They do not care. Squatters have been living in the property for 6 months now and if the legal situation is ever resolved they will bind me to purchasing a destroyed property. They are aware of the squatters and once they released it wasn't actually me that had broken in, communication stopped again.

I am not lying when I say this process has sent me into depression. We saved for years to buy our first home and start a family. The vendor Mazars and their solicitors Beauchamps are absolute vultures who would happily rob you of everything.

My solicitor fees are now into the tens of thousands as well. I just hope this review will prevent other good folk from getting themselves into the same situation as me.

Have used the site twice to bid on UK properties. Ian was really helpful the first time I bid as it was all new to me. Site is really good and hoping if another suitable site comes up it will be third time lucky! Can't fault the site and the service

The auction process run by BidX1 I have found to be efficient and delivered what was promised.
I was representing a charity so there was additional pressure in terms of financial security etc. We were unsuccessful in bidding but the process was simple and transparent. Our bidding security fee and admin fee(a considerable amount £5500) was returned after 24hours.
Most important points:-
- Do your own provenance on the property, BidX1 only provide the platform
-Money laundering regs can be painful in terms of required docs
- bank transfers can be delayed for security reasons

I have won the bid for twice. BidX1 platform is easy to operate. Comparing traditional way to purchase a property, bidding is much quicker and reliable, you can secure your future home and move in soon.

I've participated in numerous auctions with BIDX1. The team within the UK division have assisted and helped on a number of occasions and continue to bring great property to market.

I bid on a property in spain and was the highest bidder and had to go to Spain to get an nie number, which i did and was told two weeks later that a transfer from my bank account in Ireland wasn’t good enough so i had to go back to Spain again to open a bank account over there,which I did and transferred money from my account to Spain and they then wouldn’t accept the money I lodged …… I got scammed out of a 2000 euro deposit and lost five days off work and four flights for nothing but to be scammed….. really bad company ,,do not use..do not deal with hussien marcos,twice i was told i won the bid for a property ,twice he let me down..very unprofessional

Hussein Marcos led me to believe I was in line to get a property but was ignored when asking for updates on my bid, very rude.

I am unfortunately disappointed with BIDX1 auction service. I was expecting the auction for an appartment. I have not been notified that auction for this property has been withdrawn. Despite the fact that the auction did not take place at all, my deposit was reduced by 100 euros.
No one reply for my email, no one call me back.

I have never done an internet auction before and the experience so far with Bidx1 is not smooth or easy. The lack of customer service is surprising given that people are investing significant sums of money and basics such as acknowledging receipt of deposit and receiving a bidders number should be swift. 4 days after direct deposit into the bank account they nominated, I’m still waiting on a bidders number and instructions on auction.. and the ad for the house has been removed from daft.ie and Bidx1.com. Now I’m starting to get concerned about legitimacy. Emails sent to ie and uk and phone call vm left with Ireland in last 24hrs/ no apparent way to reach a live person. The only email address they sent during registration process doesn’t work either.
Hoping someone connects soon. Only 8 days till auction- if it’s on?

There was a property for sale that I was interested in I was initially hesitant in proceeding with Bidx 1, as I didnt know anything about them afraid it could be a scam After a long hard hurdle I got a bidding number I found their staff extremely helpful On day of auction it was intense but very fast moving at last minute I was successfull bidder on the day Over all it was a good experience but I would advise buyer beware One would have to be willing to take the gamble on the property and be prepared to lose your deposit if you not happy with your purchase

Very keen when you start but not do keen to return the deposit if you do not win the auction. Make sure you use a credit card. I had to get the credit card company to recover my deposit. Auctions are a very risky way to buy property anyway. Treat it as a gamble.

BUYER BEWARE! We moved to Australia to save for a house deposit. We spent 4 years away from our family.

We purchased a house in Dublin with €23,100 deposit. Our life savings.

BidX1 took a week to respond to let a valuer in to check the property for mortgage approval.

A day before closing the deal, the old owner put an action on the title stopping us from purchasing.

18 months later, the solicitors in charge of removing the action won't even return our emails or phone calls.

They have straight up robbed us of our life savings. What horrible organisations. €23,100 to these big corporations is nothing. To the average working man, it is everything.

Awful company to deal with, hidden costs buried in their T&Cs of over a hundred euro of charges just to take part in an auction.

Having purchased a house in Ireland via bid X1 and reading all of the reviews, I am surprised that they are very negative I had no issues buying, bidding and getting a great deal with Bid X1
