2 no shows last week promised today Monday
Called Today asking what time only to be told it will be Wednesday now???
That’s no collection for 2 weeks.

8 weeks in and no collection, arranged a collecting on Wednesday and asked us to leave 8 weeks worth of waste outside and they would do a full site clearance so they came out of business hours on Tuesday, Didn't come back Wednesday, all the waste outside is now wet! Takes 45 min to get through on the phone, transferring you from one place to another.
They have no made one single collection and claim I have to pay a termination fee.
Avoid at all costs

Sure you would, you only have one job, collect the bin and you can't even do that!

Customer service is quick to respond from the very start. From ordering our new bin up to the final agreement. we are just now waiting for the confirmation of bin delivery. Great in updating us about our order. Overall, happy client we are.

Biffa seem to think it’s fine to pick up from a residential HMO in a fully residential street in Enfield any time of night they like with the noisy reversing loudspeaker and crashing bins everywhere. I’ve already complained - for one week they picked up at 7.30am (bliss!) and now we are back to 1am, 4.30am, 5.30am etc. Would mind less if I lived above a shop or something but my street is literally just houses. Either drivers are selfishly choosing these times or Biffa is directing them to.

Not emptying my glass bins on a regular basis but still charging me i put it down to constantly changing crews who can't be bothered to look just get a email saying haven't emptying them which insodently you can't reply to if you call them you are put on hold for over twenty minutes and then they refuse to return can't wait for my contract to end so I can get a reliable contractor in place now look into their reply underneath standard reply if they think i am going to call and be put on hold for a further twenty minutes to be then refused another site visit they can think again

Complete cowboys from top to bottom. They regularly collect in a hugely built up area metres away from our house at 5am. Totally inefficient customer support, just get passed from person to person, promise after promise and nothing changes. They are dishonest, and display a total lack of integrity, respect or decency throughout. Seems they have zero control over their bin men. I guess its no coincidence they get fined for illegally disposing waste. A DISGRACE!

David Forrest was very helpful, polite yet not pushy like some sales people will be.

Really happy with Biffa. As a business we have been using their services for almost 3 years now! Had a few account changes recently and spoke to Zoë Cooney in the customer support team who was absolutely amazing. She went above and beyond on helping resolving the issue!

We paid for our bins to be emptied once a week. This rarely happened. We were lucky to get our bins emptied once every 2-3 weeks. I was frequently on the phone chasing them to get our bins emptied. Their records show I called them 14 times Oct-Dec 2025.
In January 2026 it got even worse, with no service at all. I told them if they didn't empty our bins that week, I would cancel my direct debit. Our bins didn't get emptied (no surprise) so I cancelled my direct debit and asked them to take the bins away.
Now I am being threatened with legal action and debt collectors because I refuse to pay for a service that my company never received.
I will be going to the Ombudsman Service as well as media outlets, who love a rip off story like this!
They will reply to this telling me to contact their Customer Services on 0800 601601 (I know the number by heart, as I called them so often). Calling them makes no difference. You will just get platitudes as nobody actually cares or follows up or does anything. False promises are their specialty. No-one will admit their service is diabolical and people should not have to pay for a service that doesn't exist.

We book in collections and arrange our week to be around and the driver never comes on the day we book, happens every time. Then theres the case that we fill our skip and it returns with loads of the rubbish still in it as they couldn't be bothered to empty it - the contract is we fill the bin and you empty it. Following that complaint we still had to pay for a full skip (£600) despite showing photos of it being full of the last collection waste. Then there is the booking we made which took two weeks to collect - or rather a guy called and said sorry he couldn't do it and would be in the next day - he wasn't and the service was cancelled whilst we waited for the collection anothewr two weeks, when the guy arrived he complained the bin was too full (here's the clue if you don't collect it for 4 weeks after we book you in, its not magic to find that extra waste has filled it up). Very disappointing from a client perspective, if anyone is considering Biffa, find someone else.

Amy made my booking really easy to do and manage.

I'd like to raise an issue with some commercial bins on the kerbside at BS5 0BT.
I have raised this issue with the council, but they haven't been very helpful as the bins aren't theirs.
These bins are constantly overflowing, and black bin bags sit on the pavement, not getting collected when the bins do get emptied.
The person who holds the account with yourselves really needs to increase the collection period or get larger/more bins.
I really hope you can raise this with the account holder, as the pavement is covered in waste on a pavement used by hundreds of people a day.
Thanks ever so much for your help.
Joshua

11 months later and they’ve once again decided they’re no longer collecting my wheelie bin from the rear lane it’s been collected from for minimum 12 years previous as i own a front door. As discussed 11 months ago and you changed your mind and then collected the wheelie bin for 11 months and decided last week even though you drove down this lane to collect other wheelie bins you won’t collect mine. (literally drove past my bin) was confronted by the local councillor and bin men told him they were told they don’t have to collect it so they’re not going to. Spoke to Dave on the phone via councillor Paul and he confirmed even though he’s driving down the lane he’ll ignore my wheelie bin because I own a front door. We already been through the fact I have no access and I can’t fit a wheelie bin down at th front hence why you’ve been collecting it from the rear for the last 11months. Plus I found this out via the councillor who lives behind me, zero contact or information from biffa or Cornwall council they just leave my wheelie bin there and say nothing. Genuinely the worst company I’ve ever dealt with in my life. Beyond useless how did they manage to get the contract for Cornwall council with such horrendous reviews and such a bad attitude towards work. EDIT hahahah look at the response they give. I’ve already emailed you and you doubled down on your stupidity and now I’ve made formal complaint. Ombudsman next.
