We have had three new bi-folds installed through the bifold shop. The fitters have done an excellent job. Thoroughly professional and great attention to detail with all the trims and silicon finish done to a very high standard.

Excellent process provided excellent Service, and the product wasn’t bad either !
The process of ordering was fully explained along with the costs and payment schedule.
The survey was as described with discussions on every point, which were mirrored back in the documentation.
Fitting was booked on as per the schedule and they duly turned up and put it in. They were careful to check finished levels with me as they progressed, and some minor changes had to be made due to current floor unevenness. Very professional installers.

The whole team are very friendly. The first sales guy (Scott) was very friendly and helpful, Tina (the payment person) was very cheery and enjoyable to talk to. The two guys (Rich and Chris) who did the install were very friendly and did an excellent job though.
Two constructive points:
The start of the process was very slow getting booked in (I was told the one survey guy was on holiday for two weeks). I had to call up to chase.
On install, the two guys broke an electric wire when removing the dwarf wall. They and I didn’t expect there to be a wire in there but I thought there’s kit for checking that so would have been useful. I now have to pay to get that fixed.
A good experience given the final outcome, just a couple of niggles!

Like many others I was concerned about…
Like many others I was concerned about promises made by the myriad of bi-fold door companies. Bfoldshop delivered on time and to the price specified. The doors look great and the locks and slides all work very well. My builders were so impressed that they asked for the name of the compnay so that they can recommend them to others.

Cautious at first, we liked the support we received in choosing our windows/doors. Good engagement and support with supplying detailed specs and helping me with my over thinking.

Repairs to existing bi fold doors
When we originally purchased from bifold door shop, I was a little apprehensive because they were not one of the ‘big name’ manufacturers and I was concerned what their customer service might be like further down line should we need it or if they would even still be around as these companies do come and go. Since our initial installation in 2019/20 we had no problems until recently when the ‘pass door’ began to stick. I need not have worried, after calling bifold door shop they asked for extra pictures to identify the problem and without haggling booked an engineer visit reasonably quickly to fix it. Matt turned up on the day on time and quickly got to work on repairs to roller track and hinges which he had apart and back together in no time. I thought this was a morning job but Matt was finished in an hour, very skilled and helpful ! I’m even more pleased I went to bifold shop now, even 4 years later. They have been brilliant.

Supply & Installation of Origin Bi-fold Doors
I had Origin bi-fold doors installed by The Bifoldshop a couple of months ago, and despite being more expensive than all my local companies, we chose this company for the service & professionalism provided from initial quote contact stage.
Since we have had the doors installed, we have been very happy with the product as well as whole process.
The installers were experienced as well as very polite, and we would highly recommend this company to any potential customer.

Great experience, would recommend
We have had a great experience and would really recommend BifoldShop. We changed our minds several times at the quoting and Zac was always super helpful. Customer service throughout was really good. The doors have been installed now and we are really pleased with them. The team were really friendly and have done a great job. So far we have no problems with them and they are operating really smoothly. I'd hope that if we did get an issue that great customer service would continue.

I would avoid this company at all…
I would avoid this company at all costs. This is due to their extremely poor aftercare. We had premium Origin sliding doors fitted by them on our new kitchen extension. When fitted - the fitters were very obviously inexperienced with this product and left the doors unfinished and we had to get several defects corrected after the install. They were reading instructions on the lawn trying to work it out! Once installed, one of the sliding doors never worked as smoothly as the other one and after a couple of years, whatever stress was in the frame, shattered the glass in the door. I had to write formal letters for them to even visit my house and look at the damage. They dismissed the issue, saying it was not their fault. I took independent 3rd party advice and they confirmed in writing the issue was in a defect in the frame due to their installation work. Three months have gone past and they still have not rectified their issue. This will probably end up in court! This is such a terrible company, so I wanted to help anyone out there to really think before using them. I would strongly advise you to look elsewhere. PS they also sent me a quote to repair the glass that was 20% above market rates. So they are even trying to profit on their own defected work. Shameful!

- Installation: We completely refute your claim about 'inexperienced fitters'. Our team frequently installs ORIGIN products and collaborates with their technical team. If our fitters had any uncertainties, they would consult ORIGIN directly, not read instructions on the lawn. This statement does not align with our typical customer feedback, which often praises (and often names) our installation teams, but is there for your own narrative.
Here is a timeline of events to provide a full understanding:
- Initial Contact and Warranty: Your first report of the shattered glass unit on 20/05/24 was our first contact since installation over three years ago (which negates your opinion on poor installation immediately). Sarah promptly forwarded this to Klassic Glass, who confirmed that our warranty does not cover shattered glass units.
- Follow-Up and Response: On 23/05/24, we requested guidance from Klassic Glass, receiving their response on 29/05/24. Gemma informed you on 31/05/24 that breakages are not covered under warranty.
- Inspection and Findings: On 07/06/24, Craig, our installation director, inspected the damage and found no impact marks. He concluded the issue might be due to Nickel Sulphide Inclusion, a rare phenomenon in glass manufacturing. You suggested screw damage, but Craig confirmed there were no screws in that part of the door, referring you to the GGF Guidelines.
- Independent Report: On 01/07/24, you provided a report from your expert (a local window fitter) who suggested the unit "could be over-packed" but could not confirm this as the cause.
- Company Response: On 04/07/24, we emailed you our site report, which you disagreed with. Our conclusion, supported by the glass supplier and our industry experience, remains unchanged.
- Quote for Repairs: The quote provided may have seemed high due to the specific type of solar-controlled glass and the need for a two-man team for installation. The pricing reflected Klassic Glass's costs, nearly matching the original order. You mentioned the quote being 20% above market rate but provided no evidence of this. Given that we refute responsibility for the damage, the cost must cover the re-installation.
- Manufacturer’s Policy: No glazing manufacturer covers Nickel Sulphide Inclusion under warranty due to its spontaneous nature. A simple google search shows the rarity and nature of it, but we can provide more in-depth data if required.
- Independent Report Limitations: The independent report you provided used tentative language such as "could," without any definitive evidence. We rely on the expertise of Klassic Glass (and their 30 year industry experience) and our own 20 years of experience in the industry to substantiate our claims.
We do strive to provide excellent service and regret that your experience did not meet your expectations. Despite the limitations of our warranty, we have consistently responded promptly and tried to assist you. We are willing to discuss this further if necessary, but we also wanted to respond to your review to present our perspective accurately.

We are extremely pleased with our new bifold doors from The Bifold Shop. The whole process from visiting the showroom to the final installation was very smooth and problem free. We didn’t feel pressured to make a purchase at all and were pleased with the advice we were given in the showroom by Scott. The price of the doors and installation was very attractive compared to other searches we had done on online so it was lovely to visit a local supplier and see them before we made our final decision. All the way through we were kept informed on the status of our order and the surveyors and installation team were all punctual and very considerate when visiting our home. The quality of the doors is fantastic and they fit very well. We love the solar glass which is definitely helping with the glare and heat of the sun as well as helping to preserve the colours in our rug and sofas. We would wholeheartedly recommend them to any of our family, friends or colleagues.

New roof light makes the whole room so much lighter
We are really pleased with our new roof light. When they took out the old roof light, the beams were not quite as had been expected by the survey, so it was not the easiest to fit.
