Description of bike not fully truth

Brought a Ortler Monet Citybike 45

The bad:
Bought a bike and the description said 26" wheels but the bike that arrived had 28" wheels.
The description also didn't mention anything about a foot-brake. It said V-brake on back and front wheel which was what I wanted. But it unfortunately also had foot-brake.
The good:
Build quality seems to be ok.
Somewhat fast delivery

Vi beklager, hvis det ikke stod der, da du lavede ordren, men hvis du ser under specifikationer, så står der, at hjulene er 28".

Hvis du ikke er tilfreds med købet har du mulighed for at returnere cyklen omkostningsfrit, såfremt cyklen er i samme tilstand som da du modtog den.

Super service

I have now ordered several times at Bikester.dk and can only recommend. Very good pricing and fast delivery. Nothing to complain about.

Customer service is terrible!!!

Ordered 4 items and received the order quick considering it came from Germany ... BUT ... 1 item was wrong, at first i though I had made an error but after reviewing the order I see they (Bikester.dk) made the mistake and sent me the wrong item.

I emailed customer service and got a reply telling me if I ordered the wrong item I should just refuse the package. I responded to the email saying I didn't order the wrong item, you (bikester.dk) sent the wrong item and the other 3 items where correct. I also pointed out that there website shows a picture of the wrong item under the description of the item I ordered. They responded "It is always a good idea to read the specifications and not only trust the pictures." ... how condescending!!!

I ordered the item based on the specification and apparently they didn't take their own advise and shipped based on a picture.

I ended keeping the wrong item and using in lieu of the what I actually ordered because I can't trust they can resolve the issue correctly or refund my money.

Seriously can't understand why they would repeatedly blame a customer for being at fault when they made the mistake, I will order parts elsewhere in the future.

Very good quality, nice price.

I bought a bike for my son and accessories for mine. Was surprised by very good quality, taking into account price and discounts.
Delivery through DHL might be messed up as at seems not all of address fields are transferred correctly, but that could be fixed by editing DHL's order.

Don't expect to get what you pay for

I ordered a set of brake pads and several chain master links from this site. What did I receive? Not what I was expecting . . .

In the box, there was a one brake pad. One. What am I supposed to do with this? Brake pads always come as a set of two. I wrote to Bikester's customer service, but I received a response that, "You wrote that this usually is delivered as a set, but we have checked and this type of item always is delivered as one product and not two." According to whom? It's certainly not stated as such on Bikester's own product description, nor is that the case from any other bike shop or eRetailer.

As for the master links, I ordered eight sets and received . . . three sets. I guess they expect one not to notice. Bikester still charged my card for the full amount.

Just avoid this site, even if the prices may look tempting. They are not actually Danish, though they try to brand themselves as such with the dot-DK domain. You won't get what you pay for anyways.

We are sorry to hear that you are not satisfied with the information about our products in our web shop. Based on your feedback, we will consider whether we should make our information even clearer in our specifications for the mentioned products to avoid anymore misunderstandings.

As we also informed you about per email, then this specific brake pad you bought really do come as only a single pad in our web shop, which we also inform the customer about in the specifications (functions: brake pad). If the brake pads come as a pair, there will be two pads pictured and the specifications will say “function: brake pads”. Regarding the master links, we are of course sorry that you only got three pairs when you ordered four. We have already refunded you the money for the missing one.

We are a German company with web shops in several different countries and we do not try to hide this fact. We mention this in our colophon, terms and conditions, and in our emailcorrespondence.
