Worst exchange in Australia, I convert $20 of bitcoin to lightning and they block my withdrawal, huh my account was approved so why the dictatorship attitude? Treating me like a criminal over a 20 buck purchase of btc, Just because I refuse to send fiat onto the exchange only because it's too high and many others offer this service for free.
Nah stay far away from them

Pros: Easy to use and offers Self Managed Super Fund accounts. Low trading fees and low withdrawal fees for bitcoin in Australia and supports Lightning Network Withdrawals. You pay some fees up front for KYC/Deposits with transparency which allows you to enjoy low fees using the actual service and not worry about getting stung on the way out. Happy to pay $10 up front when I save $1000's in transaction fees and withdrawal fees later. Comes with standard reporting features you would expect for tax and reconciliation

Cons: Avoid using the express buy option, the price is much higher than the spot price you can call this a convenience fee but it's not worth it. It's a bare bones exchange and lacklustre in account features (e.g. cannot change your account email address, limited security options). If you are looking for alternative crypto coins Bitaroo does not offer them and you will need to find another exchange to cater for that

Deposited $1000 to buy bitcoin, then after purchasing bitcoin they won't let me withdraw. To withdraw my bitcoin I have to do this video verification, such a misleading exchange, why don't they just tell you extra verification is needed to withdraw at signup.

Easy sign up, but after depositing money they wouldn't let me withdraw its been pending for weeks now.

Give back my money you thieves!!

Not a fake review mate

You can reverse search my name on your exchange, why was my withdraw blocked? It was only $500 worth of BTC.
Now to get my $500 out I need a more proof.
Here is an extract of whats needed to withdraw my $500 from your support email.

1. A recent Bank statement. Blacking out figures and balances is fine, just need to see your BSB/Account number and your name as the Account Holder
2. A short selfie video of yourself, holding your Driver Licence and saying your full name, today’s date and advising your bank account details (from which the payment was sent) and the payment amount.
Please also momentarily hold each side of the ID close so it may be easily read.

Why don't you just ask this at the beginning of your signup process, then I wouldn't have signed up. Keep my $500, I hope this review deters others from signing up.

I know this will be the response, your exchange will blatantly accepts people deposit, but when they try to withdraw you will request all this extra verification.
I can see that I am not the only customer that's been denied to withdraw.
Lets see if my review is removed in a weeks time.

Best exchange with the lowest fees and spread, competitors fees are 3.5 to 4% more. They encourage self custody, easy to sign up, support is always there and active. Exchange has many features, market, limit and DCA. Cheapest withdraw fees too. It would be difficult for another exchange to beat these guys. 5 stars easy👍

Repeat do not use this exchange unless you want to go through what I have.

Set up an account and use it to purchase a few bitcoin just fine, even though their spread is high since their volume is very low less than 10 btc daily volume.
Then for no specific reason my account was limited, no reason given, won't even return my funds I had transferred into it, unless I provide a VIDEO VERIFICATION even though I had already sufficiently passed their first verification. When ask to return my money, because I do not want to do this VIDEO VERIFICATION, was told a straight no.

When contacted Bank to try to get my funds back, they said because I had done it voluntarily they could not help me, there is no reason for the bank to help me reverse the transfer. So now I have lost a few thousand dollars.
