Wouldn't recommend!

Purchased a 330d (YA64 SLZ) back in March, straight away upon delivery noticed multiple issues such as water in rear light units, lacquer peel on front bumper, rust bubbles on arches which were never disclosed before sale.

That was just the start, gearbox then started slamming gears and overall not very smooth drive, oil started leaking from injector area and leaked onto turbo/manifold nearly causing a fire during a DPF regen &casuing smoke to enter the cabin.

Decided to reject vehicle, their response was warranty is up (not how it works pal!) Eventaully sent someone to collect but still waiting for money back and are now claiming there are charges related to the condition of the vehicle. Jokers!

What they don't know is there is a full report done by indepedant inspectors with full explaination of issues with the vehicle and images of every panel.

Didnt want to leave a negative review but these guys are serious cowboys trying every trick in the book, so I think they deserve people to see how shoddy they are. If you buy from here good luck, you'll need it.

Please Please avoid i bought a focus…

Please Please avoid i bought a focus st3 from here and they refused to take it back or repair it i stay 9hrs away from the dealership and when I arrived to see the car is was here sign here you need to get back up the road. On driving the car i found the brakes to be rather soft and the tracking was off or I thought it was got new tyres fitted and tracking done at my own cost but car still wasn't right got it booked in with a garage to check other parts incase it was ball joints or something but no everything else was fine. I connected the dealership and expressed my concerns and was told the car is fine no issues with it. I then got a independent engineer who checked the car over including paintwork and came back with 6pages of faults this was sent to the dealership who then said its nothing to do with us case closed .the issues were steering, brakes, paintwork, chassis, oil leak, gear leaver selector and it had just been moted when I got it makes you think we're is the mot getting done. I have 2 very young kids and this car is not safe and they knew that now I'm left with no car as this car is not safe and is been returned to the finance company. Thanks for selling me a bucket blackline motors

Avoid this dealership

My husband and I travelled around 150 miles after arranging a finance agreement for a vehicle.

On arrival, our first impression of the site was poor due to the overall condition of the forecourt and surrounding area.

We were due to part-exchange my vehicle, but an issue was raised regarding the timing belt. We were told this would reduce the value of my car by £2,000 and that I would need to pay this upfront. Based on my husband’s experience as a mechanic and his father’s (also a mechanic), along with my own research afterwards, this figure felt higher than expected for the type of work discussed.

At that point, I felt uncomfortable with the situation and had concerns about how the process was being handled.

We agreed to proceed only if payment could be made by credit card, but this was declined due to their payment policy. We were also quoted additional charges including a deposit, timing belt contribution, dent repair, and a refundable logbook fee. We were not provided with written confirmation regarding the refund of the £100 logbook fee, which added to our uncertainty at the time.

We were also informed the vehicle had around 45 miles of fuel, but on arrival it appeared to have significantly less than expected.

We ultimately decided not to proceed with the purchase as we no longer felt comfortable moving forward with the transaction.

Afterwards, we also noticed a warning on their Trustpilot page regarding review authenticity concerns, which contributed to our concerns, along with reading other customer reviews sharing mixed experiences.

Since leaving this review, the dealership has contacted us regarding it threatening legal action for defamation. This review reflects our personal experience, and we stand by our decision not to proceed.

Definitely a 5-star team

Purchased my Evoque from Blackline a few weeks ago and wouldn't hesitate to buy from them in the future. Great experience throughout and the team are lovely to deal with; friendly, polite and knowledgeable. I had a problem with the car after a few days and the Blackline team resolved / repaired without any quibble or cost, and delivered the car back to me when it was ready. Definitely a 5-star team.

I recently had an excellent experience with Blackline Motors and couldn’t be happier with the service I received. From the moment I walked in, the team was professional, friendly, and genuinely helpful without being pushy. They took the time to understand exactly what I was looking for and guided me through the options with honesty and transparency.

What really stood out was their attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction. It’s clear they take pride in what they do, and it shows in both their cars and their service.

I would highly recommend Blackline Motors to anyone looking for a reliable, trustworthy dealership. I’ll definitely be returning in the future!

Excellent experience buying a car from Blackline Motors. Whole process was straightforward, knowledgeable and friendly staff. Car exactly as described. Would 100% recommend buying a car here, from follow up customer service & checking my long journey home went ok, to the reasonably priced extended warranty, everything you want when buying a car.

Great buying experience car was in the…

Great buying experience car was in the condition advertised. I was kept informed during every step of the process. Also the last Ev I bought was from Motorpoint I requested that it be charged as I was travelling after collecting and they didn’t, I didn’t ask for the car to be charged as I lived 2 Miles away. It had a full charge and was spotlessly clean. They even checked we got home safely.
Would buy from this company again. Amazing customer service.

Car failed, confusion around service history and warranty purchased, dealer now resolved in a kind and polite manner.

Car bought had new MOT although not a new service- misunderstanding that could of been made clearer. Resulted in an extended Warranty being bought but then not being valid, conversation with Dealer and clear differences of opinions on events regarding the service history and communications.

Blackline Motors have since kindly apologised for the trouble and confusion, also refunding the cost of the warranty taken out during purchase which has helped towards the cost of repairs and shows they are a compassionate company, willing to try to help if things don't go as expected.

Avoid this garage

Avoid this garage. Extreme rip off and sell cars with faults which come up after a few hours. Wouldn't bother buying from a garage when the level of cover you get is zero. Read likeminded reviews

I had a great experience with Blackline Motors from start to finish. The staff were incredibly polite and professional, making the whole process smooth and stress-free. The salesperson even made my mum a cup of coffee while we were sorting everything out, which really showed their level of customer care.

The car came with a first-month warranty included, giving me peace of mind, and they carried out a full check on the vehicle at their garage before I collected it. Everything was explained clearly, no pressure, no hassle — just genuinely good service.

I’d definitely recommend Blackline Motors to anyone looking for a reliable used car and a friendly, trustworthy team.

Avoid this dealership

Avoid this dealership – serious concerns about how they operate.

I bought a vehicle from Blackline Motors, and within just 12 hours of purchase the engine failed beyond repair. Despite this, the dealership has refused to honour the Consumer Rights Act 2015, which clearly states that vehicles must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described.

Under Section 20(8) of the Act, the dealer is responsible for any reasonable costs of returning a rejected vehicle. However, Blackline Motors have refused to arrange or pay for recovery, even though the vehicle is undrivable.

We’ve since had to involve solicitors, Trading Standards, and our finance company to pursue the matter properly. This should never be necessary when a business is acting in good faith

It was a pleasant buying experience. Not too much pressure to buy a car or extra products which I had been concerned about and I'm very happy with the quality of the car which was well below market average. A shout out to Lewis who were really helpful and professional and understood my needs
