I booked this move 5 days before we had to move. The movers were nice and knowledgeable, taking good care of the furniture we moved.

Best service ever. On time. Professional. Friendly. Lightning fast. Careful. Communication was awesome. Will use them again in the future. Highly recommend them.

Our wood floors got roughed up. Our mailbox was hit by the truck. All of the antiques were handled very, very poorly! A ca 1850 secretaries desk was disassembled after it left the house after being told it couldn't be separated. The bottom was gauged, the top was broken and hammered back in place by workers. Two other antiques had gauges in the top. A bookcase was dropped down a hill. The workers on the second trip were rude to my family when asked to move items that they had put in the wrong place (one item had to be moved 3 times to get it right). I can go on and on.....

Third time using Black Tie. Has been great experience each time.

great service, great attitude

I want to start off by saying that the staff was very kind and polite and easy to work with but just the overall process needs a lot of improvement. The arrival was stated to be around 10 AM and they did not arrive until 1030 and later in the evening the team had taken a lunch but then that ran over as well because they had troubles with their gas card and fueling up the trucks so in terms of time management there is some improvement there.

As for the team that was coming out, we were told three people would come out at a certain hourly rate. But to my surprise 4 people came on the day of the move, which is perfectly fine, The issue I have with four people coming is no one ever informed me of the difference in the price or even confirmed if I would be OK with a different hourly rate, I found out the new hourly rate around 9:30 PM when they closed out the move and said this is how much you are going to be charged.

For this move, I had left a lot of bulk items like metal wire racks, gym bench, weights equipment, larger dressers tables, definitely bulky items. The efficiency of the team is where I had the biggest opportunity with them. one person was tasked with blanketing and plastic wrapping everything. One person took the responsibility of placing things in the truck in an inappropriate manner and the other two would go back-and-forth to get the items. The issue with the two runners was I would constantly go back to the area and identify pieces that they still need to get. Two people were not very proactive and had to be micromanaged. Also many times throughout the day the group would have quick hangout times where they would just chat. Four people was great to see, but this move was definitely dragged out far beyond what it needed to be.

There were damaged items (dresser and driveway) and many items I told them to ignore because of time and efficiency.

I am happy with the team that showed up because they were definitely nice people, we gave them drinks along the way and tips at the end of it all but overall I definitely overspent and now left with more follow up.

From start to finish Black Tie Movers were professional, patient and caring. Moving is always stressful and filled with emotion and the crew took excellent care of this senior couple. Thank you

You have the most professional guys, from Myron and Curtis to the other guys on their team. Respectful, kind, courteous, and they know how to pack....from glassware, to clothes, to metal, to garage items. They truly made this moving experience less stressful for me! Thank you, again!

Great crew of guys took care of us and our stuff! Everyone was hard working, polite, and took great care when moving our items.

Both men were careful and took the time to carefully wrap everything that needed it. They took direction very well and were very friendly and quick.
I would hire black tie again if needed and specifically ask for the two men that moved me today!

They did a great job. I really would recommend hiring them for all local moves.

Everything went smoothly. The movers called to verify the possibility of coming earlier than expected after finishing another job. They introduced themselves and were very professional and courteous. They treated my belongings with care, and nothing was damaged.

There was a miss understanding on the packing
I had the understanding the cost to pack everything up was around 1800-1900 didn’t realize it didn’t include the supplies I have looked everywhere and can’t find my signed copy of the est. that says plus supplies. I have asked for a copy and haven’t received one yet. They keep sending in one that my wife signed when they were done. Other than that they did a fantastic job .

Amazing experience. They moved an extremely large and heavy item along with our normal household goods. They brought the right equipment and tools to handle the big object. They were very, very professional movers and took care with all of our items big and small.
