Unfinished product
Pretty much all the good features of Accointing do not work on Blockpit. They are working on them but they by fare are not where Accointing was a year ago. I am very disapointet with the forced switch to Blockpit after their acquisition of Accointing. It cost me a lot of effort to reach a state that is not even close to what i had on Accointingt.

Growing pains
I transitioned from Accointing and getting accustomed to the new program. The transition did not go as seamlessly as had been suggested and I am still tackling Tips. Speaking of Tips, why Tips? Why not call them 'Errors' or 'Issues' or something a bit more descriptive? Must be a translation thing. And a great number of my Tips were created because of the wonky way the time stamp was transcribed. That would cause the transaction list to show a withdrawal prior to the deposit and create a 'missing history' Tip. Many were caused by miss-identified tokens. (I was rich for a few days until I corrected that Tip) It is a process.
But on to the main gripe. The customer service response time is very slow. The Discord blog isn't much help either. The only response I've gotten so far was an attempt to sell a very expensive crypto trading service.
I do like the tax documents.
Keep working and I'm sure it will get better.

thank you for your honest feedback. Tips were called Issues before, but the wording has been changed to a more generic one, as not every Tip is a real Issue.
If you experienced incorrect import/migration of timestamps, it would be helpful to get some data samples in order to replicate the claim/potential problem.

The currency cannot be changed so that I'm forced to monitor my portfolio in EURO currency instead of US$. This is ridiculous and is a step back when migrating from Accounting.
Very disappointing and not understandable.

Product has gotten worse since being bought out
Blockpit bought out a company called Accointing which was based in Switzerland. Privacy, usability, and data security were the main focuses. they required all accounting users switch to Blockpit’s platform, which removed a lot of features that made most people choose accounting, while charged substantially more for the service. Blockpit cannot generate business forms, generate expense statements, valuate airdrops at the time of collection (required by IRS), and all transactions are computed in GMT regardless of time zone, so end of year transactions can show up in the wrong year. Note for US filers could be liable for Tax fraud. Support took weeks to answer my questions, say they are bugs, but offer no realistic solution. On the plus side, they improperly valuate crypto in the trends space, so according to a Blockpit, I’m a billionaire.

thank you for your feedback. As ex Accointing user, you get free licenses for all your tax year prior to 2023.
If a transaction label does not fit your requirements, you can simply relabel the affected transaction to Interest or other adequate types.
Should an asset not show the correct asset value please reach out to our support as this may be related. If your problem is not mentioned in your request, it may not be treated accordingly.
Make sure to use our ticket form and select tax tool migration so we can prioritize your request accordingly.
We are already working on improving our currently longer response times in general.

The migration process from Accointing…Disaster
The migration process from Accointing was a disaster. Many transactions to other exchange’s “transfers”, were not complete just showing crypto sent. Transactions to my Ledger devices were missing or labeled just “crypto sent or received”. All the APIs to exchanges were missing. I had to going into the integrations to re sync with my APIs. When sync was finished I ended up with double transactions; hundreds! I’m still after almost 3 weeks reconciling everything. Here’s the part you’ll like, I HAVE to STAY with BlockPit at least this year because I have so much work invested in the system!

Tax tool migrations in general are quite complex. Most of your Transfers will be detected/merged automatically as long as you imported all your integrations. Some may have to be merged manually in order to avoid incorrect Transfers. Your existing API keys can not simply be copied and pasted via CSV. The Blockpit tax tool migration dialogue is quite sophisticated and well documented in our migration guidelines. Please take care when setting up API syncs, as you should set the correct API start date.

Import from accointin (the Company, Blockpit bought) is generating wrong data, with no reasonable conclusion. The Support Case I opened took several weeks to answer. And the answer was like: please take care of manually resolving the mistakes, that the import caused…thanks a lot, I guess

thank you for your honest feedback. Due to year's end and high ticket pressure, specific requests may take longer for replies.
The answer given in your request was actually quite precise. Your acquisition costs can not match as long as you have unlabeled transactions that are not merged to Transfers as not all Transfers can be merged automatically. There is a failsafe/fallback logic for some cases in palce in order to avoid incorrect mappings. Please make sure all your Transfer transactions are represented and merged accordingly and start a recalculation after you did so.
