The only improvement I can see is to…

The only improvement I can see is to close them down and refund people their money. There needs to be a class action lawsuit against them and maybe then they'll get it together. In my opinion the fraud is within the company itself and every one is getting paid .After using the card for 4 months unauthorized use started when I called I gave them my information 2weeks later someone redirected my social security direct deposit to a new bluebird card changing my email. COINCIDENCE I think not. Investigate Prosecute and refund is the only answer.

Should be able to give a 0

Should be able to give a 0! Direct deposit was sent and didn’t get processed to my account. Some idiot continues to tell me nothing can be done if it was credited to a different account, even with a reference number.

If I could give 0 I would have. Found out for ten months straight they not only didn’t process my rent payment, but they failed to inform me that the payment didn’t go through. Upon asking them, they informed me that if it says it didn’t go through, it means that either it never was paid or two it never processed. But they are saying that there is nothing they could do. Why have options of being notified if those notification options aren’t being used. I have had to change my Bluebird card more than once. But after this. I am done with them. My question to Bluebird is this: Where did my money go, if it was never processed? Because of there failed attempt to do what’s right, it’s saying I now owe $9,352 to the people I pay my rent through. This is ridiculous.

Stay away from this bluebird online…

Stay away from this bluebird online banking card company! Doesn’t have a chip so you put yourself in a risky situation. I used my card on an atm and got hacked for more than $1,200 dollars in the span of 2 days. If they would have at least have a system that sent you txt messages of your spending I would have catch on to them and locked my card right away!! The company has only refunded me more than half of what the scammers stole. One guy (manager) I was talking to was low key rude, probably thought I was trying to scam them to get money, kept putting me on hold on purpose to see if I would just give up and hang up, he didn’t even say bye to end the conversation just stayed there and waited for me to read his mind and hang up so I waited and he finally said yeah you can hang up we are done. I said ok thank you bye because I’m not rude like him. Also, the fees are so high! I noticed very late that every time I would order something from Uber eats the company would charge about $10 extra dollars! Like wth Uber eats already charges 2.5 times more than the original price, it’s like you’re spending 3.5 more than going to buy it yourself, such a scam of a company!!!

Bull crap

Bull crap. Never sent me a new card after the expiration date. I called in and some dude with a weird accent told me I have to pay for it. Wow! I thought I was in America. Dude sounded like he was from planet XWIG. I TOLD HIM I CAN'T UNDERSTAND YOU. YOUR ACCENT IS CONFUSING. He finally told me it was an option to get an expedited card and I could get a free card if I waited 10 days. I think that was what he said. I told him to send the free card and quickly transfered my money out of there. Avoid them. I guess I have to learn alien outer space languages.

Locked Card without explanation

I have had my Bluebird card for over 10 years. Lately I've been having trouble loading my card from my bank account on the website and the app. I'm not going to go to Walmart and spend $4 to load everytime. Anyway, I call to get the situation fixed and a misunderstanding due to me mishearing what the representative was asking. Caused me to call back. Next thing I know my account is locked. They say I violated some code and sent and email explaining why. The email only had a code on it with no link provided to the terms and conditions. I am done with them. This irritates me so bad because I liked the card.

This company is terrible

This company is terrible. I can never add money to my employees' cards when I need to. They are always experiencing "technical difficulties". For three weeks this is the error I get. I called and they can't help me because the cards are in my employees' names. How can you talk to my employees who know nothing of these cards other than that is how they get gas in the work trucks, parts for jobs, and general equipment needed while working? This company is complete S**T. I can't wait to find another company that works like it's supposed it.

Holds

On 12/1/2023, I made a gasoline purchase at WalMart and went inside the store to make the purchase to avoid a hold being placed on my account. Low and behold on 12/2/2023 a hold was placed on my account and it's still pending although the transaction has been completed. I called into their customer service which has been outsourced overseas and the representative tells me the hold will be there for two more days until the transaction has been completed. I explain to her the transaction was completed on 12/1/2023 so the hold can be removed. So I have to wait two more days before this hold can be removed. I will pay in cash or utilize my bank card before using this card again.

Worst customer service ever!!

Worst customer service ever!!! Sent message querying a product. Message was obviously not read as their response had completely nothing to do with my query. I gave them a chance to rectify but they just continued talking about something else not related to my query!!!
Worst flavoured potato chips ever!!! All plastic tasting and obviously loaded with fake flavourings.....vile tasting!!

Still waiting for refund

I took my shoes back to the store on 9/23/23 and used this card for my refund.I was given my receipt showing refund going back to card. Most refund are 3-5 days. It clearly state on hold for merchant review so it’s not the store. It is now 9/30/23 and I still haven’t received my money back. I have called and they are saying it is the bank. I have never heard such nor have I had to wait this long for a refund. I will never use this card with this company for a refund again. This is ridiculous and not fair.

I would have not even given one star

I would have not even given one star, but you have to in order to leave a review. This company should be completely shut down and not be allowed to offer any type of card, pre-paid or otherwise. Just like all the other comments, good luck speaking to a representative and when you finally do speak to someone they don't listen to what you are trying to say. They read from a script. Worst customer service EVER. Also was denied a fraud investigation for around $800. We aren't letting this go that easy.

This Bluebird card (I call it Boo Bird)…

This Bluebird card (I call it Boo Bird) is such a fraudulent, half-baked foreign based scheme. My account has been "locked" and the only way to remove the lock is to 'surrender' my full SSN to their company. They make money ripping off folks who are skeptical of this practice AND JUST "GIVE UP" trying to resolve issues. The BBB needs to intervene and/or have US Govt respond to the foreign scamming country.

Tried to unlock card and stuck in automated phone system

If the card is locked, it is nearly impossible to get a live person to answer the phone and unlock the card since there is no option to reach an associate. Last night when I finally got ahold of someone by calling multiple times and then entering random numbers when the automated system asked for my credit card number, I was told I would be transferred to someone who could help but waited 30 minutes on hold in silence. No one ever answered. Is this any way to run a business? Also, if they don't have associates available by phone certain days and times, they should just state that in the mobile application, or on the website, or in the emails they send. Many companies do not have associates available at certain times of the day, so Bluebird should honestly state that. Instead, the email for a locked card says, "please call us immediately at 1-833-926-3922--we're available 24/7." They are not available 24/7. It would be nice to know what days and times they are available.

Unable to access back pay money that was direct deposited

Last month I was directed a back pay cash deposit from the Veterans administration , I was told by a representative that I was able to transfer $ 15,000 to my credit union savings account . That was incorrect, the amount they allowed me was $10,000. This month I tried the same thing, and wasn’t allowed any transfer. I have tried calling them and it puts me through to a computer that only allows me to listen to my transactions and balance with no option to talk to anyone! On myuebird app it also does not allow me to send money out!

Customer service wants a full SSN!?

They nonstop temporarily block my account and then when I call customer service they ask for full social security number, why do you need my full SSN when you already have my information?

Bluebird customer service/problem solving

I have been on the phone with Bluebird for 2 days trying to remedy a situation with a membership that was to be paid from my Bluebird card. My membership was not renewed, at first I was told a change had been made to the card not allowing this type of transaction to occur for security reasons. When I asked why I was not notified about this change I was not given an answer. When asked when this took place I was told 2 weeks prior, I told them my membership fee would have been debited prior to the 2 week time period. I was put on hold and then was told it was 3 weeks when telling them my membership fee transaction would have happened even prior to the 3 week time period there was no answer I asked to speak to a supervisor to file a complaint when this happened I was told this restriction was waived. Calling my membership business I was told the payment request was rejected. Upon calling Bluebird yet again I was told that it was not them that it was my membership facility that has changed their payment method and no longer accepts Bluebird. Customer service is not the best and also I see they will be applying a reloading fee in July at Walmart since their contract was not renewed. I used to love the card but I am thoroughly irritated and unimpressed by their recent customer service.

Online now with customer service in the Philippines to get a hold of for $250 às they declined
charge and wànted me
to wait 8 dàys. Put me on hold and Read from script. Mànager in escàlàtion also put me on hold as soon as I get my money cutting up
card. Totàl scàm!

Bluebird has issues

Bluebird has issues, although the Family Account concept is good. There are 2 versions offered, both with significant problems that make them of little use. Both have a main account that can add or remove money from sub accounts. You CANNOT move money between the AmEx and MasterCard versions. They each have different problems.
AmEx Version which uses American Express debit card system:
*Can add money to main account from a debit card, deposit at store, or direct deposit.
*Does NOT have a 'chip' so more and more vendors wont accept it.
*Limited to merchants that take AmEx.
Mastercard Version called BlueBird Bank:
*Has a 'chip' but getting money into account is a nightmare.
*Can make payments like checks from website/app.
*They will NOT allow debit or wire transfers into account. I could not transfer from my own account at a bank or credit union. Regular banks wont take their routing number.
*They claim to allow deposit of checks, but NOT from your own account. They also would not accept ANY of the checks from various places I had received, including 1 that was a cashiers check.
*They are supposed to accept direct deposit, but no one accepted their routing number as valid.
*They accept bundles of cash up to $5000 at a Walmart or Family Dollar. WHO in their right mind would walk into either store with a wad of cash?
*They have an option to 'Request money from anyone' to get money into the account. "Anyone" does not mean yourself because I could not move money from my own checking account, my Bluebird Amex account, my checks, etc. Yes, not even from my own account that they already have the money in. The Bluebird rep on the phone said he would not put money in my account either. I attempted to point out the absurdity of their policy of not allowing your own account by asking for money from him.

Each of these accounts have fatal flaws. They don't seem to know because the only way to get ahold of them is by waiting on hold for a long time to complain - there is no email or support forum to mention the problems.
If the Mastercard version fixed the ability to deposit/transfer money into the account, it may be OK, but right now it is impossible to use.
