Since 2004, Bluebird Care has been here to keep loved ones where they feel safest: at home. We started as a family business, and today we’re honoured to be a trusted partner in home care for families across the UK through our network of over 200 local teams.
Our purpose is simple yet profound: we’re here to enrich the lives of those we care for—helping them stay independent, maintain dignity, and enjoy the everyday comforts of home. Our team of compassionate professionals is dedicated to making this possible, day in and day out.
At Bluebird Care, we know how hard it can be to balance care with life’s many demands. We understand the emotional weight that comes with aging, illness, or disability, and we’re here to provide support that feels not just capable, but caring.
We offer a wide range of services, from personal care and companionship to dementia support and end-of-life care—always tailored to the unique needs and wishes of each person we care for. And we’re here for families, too, helping lift the responsibility from your shoulders so you can focus on being the son or daughter, rather than the caregiver.
Bluebird Care stands out because we genuinely listen. We make sure that every service is crafted around the people we serve. With us, you can trust that your loved ones are in gentle, reliable hands, so you can have peace of mind and they can have the comfort of home.

I have had carers twice a day from late July 2026 after a period of live in care. The carers are all very professional and very kind to me. I would highly recommend Bluebird - they were very quick to help and have been flexible as well as checking in with me regularly.

The carers have looked after my brother in law for over 10 years. They provide personnel and emotional support and any medical problems contact the doctors and immediately inform us of their concerns. The staff are very friendly and caring and always turn up no matter what we completely trust them and would highly recommend them

Bluebird provide good care to our elderly relative, helping her to shower and get dressed so she can continue to live in her own home semi-independently. All the carers are friendly and help out with little tasks within their allotted time, and provide some extra social contacts to break up the day. Bluebird use an app to record when they visit, and what has been done on each visit, The app allows us to see who is coming for the next week's visits so we can alert our relative, and also read the carer's comments. It provides us with peace of mind, particularly when we are away.

I have been with the company for almost a year. I find the office staff and my supervisor amazing at communicating and I feel fully supported. The training was amazing I have learnt from some amazing carers and I feel like I am just going from strength to strength.

Very responsive coordination. Managed to find good staff quickly for my elderly mum in a very short space of time. Gloria, the manager, was quick to respond to messages, flexible snd accommodating to changes in needs. Professionally managed.

I would not recommend working for Bluebird Care Wolverhampton.
In my experience, the company is extremely understaffed, which places unnecessary pressure on carers who are expected to cover heavy workloads with little support. Despite the hard work staff put in every day, they are often made to feel underappreciated and undervalued.
One of the biggest issues I experienced was the lack of communication from management. Shamim Ali was, in my experience, unprofessional and failed to communicate effectively with staff. Emails and important queries often went unanswered, and I was left chasing for updates regarding significant employment matters. It felt as though there was very little concern for staff wellbeing or resolving issues fairly and promptly.
That said, I do want to recognise Selina, who supported me throughout the difficulties I experienced. She regularly checked in on my wellbeing, listened to my concerns, and made sure I felt supported during what was a very stressful time. Without her support, the experience would have been even more difficult, and I genuinely appreciate the care and compassion she showed.
Overall, the branch’s management needs significant improvement. Staff deserve to be treated with respect, communicated with openly, and supported in their roles rather than being left in the dark. The carers themselves work incredibly hard and genuinely care about the people they support, but they are let down by poor management, chronic understaffing, and a lack of appreciation for the work they do. I hope the company takes staff concerns seriously and makes meaningful changes to improve both employee wellbeing and the workplace as a whole.

Bluebird cared for my Mother after she returned to Manchester and I cannot thank them enough for the personalised and professional care they gave her. They understood her needs and catered for them perfectly.
Communication with Bluebird is first rate and they were incredibly helpful and willing to adapt as her healthcare requirements changed.
Thank you to all the team.

We have been with Bluebird for 10 months now, the Bluebird carers help my husband with washing, shaving, dressing and his mobility with a hoist. I am his main carer and have been for years, but it got to a point i was struggling to do it on my own, he needed more equipment. Bluebird have been a god send, the carers are professional, reliable and my husband and I have made good connections with them. Communication with the office is tremendous, i know if i need extra help with any problem i can pick the phone up and know they will be there. I highly recommend Bluebird Care.
The induction training with Karen was really thorough. I really enjoyed the learning experience. The concepts and ideas covered the legal and moral challenges of being a responsible carer
The process was both entertaining and really informative. I felt I understood so much more about person centred care after the course. I also understood more about the demands and emotional challenges of the job. I felt that Bluebird would be a really responsive and supportive employer. I could also see why this is such a rewarding career
Karen made the training fun and was so supportive.
Bluebird have been fantastic.
They were able to set up care very quickly and were responsive and helpful.
The care has been just what was needed. Everyone who has come has been lovely to have in the home. I have had no concerns or worries.
Bluebird also have had good communication with both the recipient of the care and the family.

The team at Bluebird were positive, kind & considerate. They understood & managed all of her medical & care needs 24/7. The carers are friendly & always give 100%. The care & kindness given to my mother was amazing .
awful company! they have been looking after my dad for a couple of years and i have to check every day what they are doing, i’ve had to raise safe guarding issues and they will come in and do the minimum amount and never stay the time you are paying for, they do not listen to what you want instead do their own thing, if you raise a complaint they give themselves 30 days before they provide you with a response! i had one carer give my dad frozen chips for dinner, they keep leaving his walker where he can’t reach it and he has had multiple falls because of their failures! i would avoid as all cost
All carers are very good and helpful always pleased to see Kay she is like part of the family. Always helpful when you ring.

Broken promises, unfair treatment and poor working standards
I accepted this role based on a formal written agreement clearly stating I would receive 25 hours of work each week. Once I started, it quickly became clear they were unable to deliver what was originally agreed. They tried to change the terms of my contract, and when I did not agree, my employment was ended. They later claimed my original offer had no value and was not part of our agreement, which is misleading and completely unfair.
Working practices here are unsafe and fall well below expected standards. I was regularly notified of shifts less than an hour before they were due to start, sometimes when I was already out. This left me no proper time to read care notes or prepare adequately for visits, yet this was later recorded as a concern against me.
All the reasons given for ending my employment were untrue. I was accused of things that simply did not happen, and claims were made about my work that were never raised with me at the time.
Standard induction training usually takes around 3 weeks, but I was kept training and shadowing for 3 months – far longer than normal. Records were later changed to say I had completed only a small number of shifts, but my own payslips prove otherwise.
This company does not keep its word, treats staff unfairly and operates below the standards you should expect. I would not recommend working here.
Been with Bluebird for about a year. They provide care services, such as stoma care that many of the other companies do not provide.
They have really supported Mum, and clearly worked with Mum to ensure she maintained as much independence as she could.
The other week, on last visit of the night, Mum needed 111. Nicola stayed late to help Mum get though to 111 and set up the home visit she needed.
Thank you Nicola we are very grateful for what you did.
The care provision has evolved to meet Mum's changing care needs.
My thanks to all of the team who have been so supportive and vital in keeping Mum independent and at home.

Sadly, I cannot recommend Bluebird based on our experience with them.
Finding care for a parent with dementia is one of the hardest decisions a family has to make. We placed our trust in Bluebird to provide a safe, reliable and caring live-in service for our mum, but over time that trust was completely eroded.
The biggest issue was the lack of communication. Emails were regularly ignored, we were not kept informed when carers changed, and we were left trying to work out who was actually caring for Mum. Despite the significant cost of the service, we were never provided with regular invoices or a clear explanation of charges. The monthly cost increased from around £6,000 to approximately £13,000, without proper consultation or transparency.
We were also extremely uncomfortable with how our personal information was handled. We were repeatedly told that GDPR meant Bluebird could not provide us with basic contact details for carers, yet information about Mum’s care was shared with people who did not have Lasting Power of Attorney or any legal authority to be involved in decisions about her care. This inconsistency caused a great deal of concern and damaged our confidence in the company.
The most upsetting thing was feeling that Mum’s needs were not always being prioritised. Someone living with dementia needs patience, supervision and genuine engagement, and unfortunately we reached a point where we no longer felt confident that Bluebird was providing the level of care and attention that she deserved.
We gave Bluebird opportunities to address our concerns, but sadly things did not improve. We have now moved Mum to another provider, and we only wish we had made the decision sooner.
Choosing care for a vulnerable family member is incredibly personal, and families need to feel they can trust the people looking after their loved ones. Unfortunately, our experience with Bluebird left us feeling let down.
