You can't even go where you want when you want. Be cautious.
Be careful if you buy a Bluegreen timeshare package. Booking is supposed to be easy and affordable, but it turns costly and you can't even go where you want. We were made a bunch of promises during the whole entire sales process that were NOT fulfilled.
I am absolutely exhausted trying to…
I am absolutely exhausted trying to deal with Bluegreen Vacations. In the past, I tried to share with tem the reason I cannot use this timeshare anymore. They pressured me into upgrading because they said it would make the timeshare easier to sell. This has not been the case. Now i am stuck with even more payments and it is all brcause they have been dishonest with me. Their customer service is completely unhelpful!! I always get inconsistent answaers depending on who i talk to, and it is clear they do not care about their owners please avoid Bluegreen at all cost.
Misrepresented, Locked In, and Fed Up: Our Bluegreen Experience
Words can't express how agitated we are by the endless runaround we’ve received from Bluegreen. From the very beginning, the reality of what we were sold has been inconsistent with the assurances made to us during that presentation. We have communicated our grievances; we've tried getting straightforward answers, and all we get in return are endless loops, scripted deflections, and outright dismissals of our concerns. We refuse to allow Bluegreen to continue to sweep this under the rug. It is entirely unacceptable how this company treats people once the ink is dry on the contract. We are locked into a financial burden that was grossly misrepresented to us. Do yourselves a massive favor, guard your peace of mind, and do not get entangled with Bluegreen under any circumstance. We just want out, and their refusal to make this right speaks volumes about their business integrity.
Would do 0 stars if I could
Would do 0 stars if I could. Do NOT buy from this company. We purchased a package at the hotel we were staying and was told we can pay an extra fee to upgrade the booking at the same hotel. WhenI called to schedule a booking I was told they don't offer those hotels and offered much less desirable hotels in other locations. They were also incredibly rude. If you booked, dispute it now on your card!
I wish I could give zero stars
I wish I could give zero stars. We purchased a package AT the rumfish in florida in 2026 to use AT the rumfish at a later date. I was told by the bluegreen sales rep that the hotel was available and we could even pay to upgrade at this location if we wanted to. When we went to book our trip the rep on the phone was incredibly rude and unhelpful. She stated the rumfish has not been an available property since 2025 and we can’t cancel and get a refund. Very deceptive sales tactics that is almost fraudulent. Stay far away from this company.
My spouse and I are incredibly…dissatisfied-seeking release/refund
My spouse and I are incredibly frustrated with what we’ve seen from Bluegreen. We got into one of their meetings that lasted for hours. The sales team completely misled us, making it seem like we were getting a rare deal.. We quickly found out they used the exact same pitch on other people that we know. They rushed us through the signing process so fast that we couldn't even read the terms. Since buying, we haven't even been able to take a single trip. Now we just got slapped with a maintenance fee bill that was nearly double what they told us it would be. I would warn anyone thinking about spending money with this company to be very weary.
Same Response, No Help
We explained our situation more than once, but Bluegreen keeps giving us the same "solutions". They say there are no cancellation options and only suggest paying more fees, transferring ownership, or trying to sell it.
We are retirees with health problems and can no longer travel. Our maintenance fees have gone from about $800 a year to over $12,000, and we can't afford to keep paying for something we can't use. It's frustrating that no one is really listening.
Think Twice Before Signing: My Negative Experience with Bluegreen & Hilton
I am incredibly frustrated with my experience with Bluegreen and Hilton. When I originally purchased, I was led to believe this would be a flexible and valuable program for our family. Instead, it has become a constant burden that does not deliver what was promised at the sales table. Recently, I’ve reached out to Bluegreen and Hilton directly to address our serious concerns and request a cancellation of our contract. Instead of helping us or addressing the issues we raised, they have stopped responding to us meaningfully and refuse to offer any real solutions, seemingly just to keep me tied to this bad investment. I simply want my ownership account closed, but they are making the process unbearable and ignoring their owners. I strongly urge anyone considering Bluegreen to think twice before signing anything.
Paid What They Asked, Then They Said They Couldn’t Help
We paid the past-due balance because Bluegreen told us that doing so would allow them to review our request to cancel. After we did exactly what they asked, we were told there was basically nothing they could do to help us get out of the ownership.
What has been most frustrating is that they keep pointing back to the contract instead of addressing what we were told when we purchased. We believed that if our circumstances changed, there would be a way to exit. That has not been our experience at all.
Instead of offering a solution, we were left with no path to cancel. We feel like we did our part, followed their instructions, and still ended up right back where we started.
This experience has been disappointing from start to finish, and I wish we had known how difficult it would be to leave before ever agreeing to buy.
Same Form Letter, No Real Resolution
We updated Bluegreen with our concerns, but instead of addressing them, they sent another form letter denying our request and saying they would not respond again unless we had "new facts."
Our loan is already paid in full. We explained that the ownership was not presented the way it actually works, including how points could be used, limited availability, and rising maintenance fees. None of those concerns were addressed.
Instead, we were told to pay more fees to exit or keep paying while our dispute remains unresolved. We hoped for a real conversation and a fair solution, but we only received the same generic response.
Horrible !!
Horrible !!! Read the fine print. I used a company to get out of this timeshare with letters showing I no longer owe and Bluegreen still continues to drag my credit making it impossible to buy a home or refinance current properties. Worst decision I’ve ever made. Not to mention how aggressive they try and sell the dream to you only to find out you can never pay it off and if you leave it to your kids they are on the hook as well.
No Resolution and Same Communication
I recently spoke with Kym at Bluegreen and got the same response we've heard for months. We were told they can't release us from the maintenance fees because of the contract, and our only option is to pay another transfer fee even though our loan is already paid off.
When I asked about the collections process if we couldn't keep paying, she couldn't even give me a timeline. After months of trying to resolve this, we're still getting the same answer instead of a real solution. I do not recommend anyone trust their sales presentation regarding Bluegreen.
Just fed up
We're honestly just fed up with Bluegreen Vacations at this point and really need to get out of our contract. Trying to book anything is a total headache, we can never actually find a room where we want to stay or when we are actually free to travel. On top of that the maintenance fees just keep going up. It's a huge weight on us since we're retired and on a fixed income now. Thinking back those seven-hour sale pitches were so aggressive, and it feels like we were pressured into buying based on a lot of things that weren't even true.
We recently reached out to a Bluegreen specialist named Keshai Glasco to try and cancel, but it felt like she wasn't listening to us. We laid out everything about the high cost and the booking trouble, but she only pushed things that didn't help, like doing a title transfer or trying to sell through Pinnacle. We said no to both. It got to even more confusing when she started talking about termination if we stop paying and asked if we'd hired a lawyer, then just bluntly told us we wouldn't be getting a refund. We're exhausted from the constant runaround and being misled. We just want this whole stressful financial mess to be over and our contract finally closed out.
They Don't Care
We have been with Bluegreen Vacations since 2003, and while we have mostly enjoyed our use of the timeshare properties we now are experiencing a major disappointment in trying to exit this expensive burden. We are both in our 70's and retired on a fixed income yet we continue to be buried under with maintenance fees that have now spiraled to just under $6,000 a year. We've invested over $80,000 across multiple upgrades only to be met with constant pressure to buy more. Our interaction with a Mr. Ferrer in 2022 was incredibly forceful and damaged any remaining trust in this company. It is very disappointing to feel like we are being manipulated and misinformed just so we can be trapped in a debt that we don't want, nor a debt to
leave to our children. When we tried to exit they actually had the nerve to ask for an additional $8,600.40 cancellation fee. It feels deeply wrong for a profitable business to demand even more money from loyal owners who are dealing daily with life's struggles. We are done with paying maintenance fees and just want this package taken back with a fair refund. We reached out hoping for some compassion, but instead we feel totally and completely brushed off and ignored.
Misled/Don't waste your money
Bluegreen approached us at a retail store and promised a quick presentation, but they kept us there for half the day. The sales reps were very high pressure and completely misled us about what we were actually getting into. They said booking vacations would be a breeze and that maintenance fees would remain stable. Neither of those things are true. There is never any availability. The whole thing feels entirely pointless, especially since we found out they rent rooms out to non-members who get access to the exact same properties without the hassle. When we brought up our frustrations to them, instead of offering real solutions, they just pressured us into buying upgrades that didn't fix a single problem. Bluegreen is a high headache. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this company. It is absolutely not worth the stress.
Run Away
Do yourself a massive favor and stay far away from this company. We were originally promised a quick two-hour presentation, but they took our IDs at the door and basically held us hostage all day until we finally gave in just so we could leave. The salespeople will promise you the world, telling you that maintenance fees will never go up and that booking your dream vacation will be a breeze. It is all a complete lie. Our fees skyrocketed almost immediately, and there is absolutely never any availability when you actually try to use the points you paid for.
Even when we eventually managed to book a trip, we were hit with unexpected out-of-pocket costs and didn't even get enough amenity passes for our whole family despite booking a room large enough for all of us. They will also try to lure you back in for what they call educational sessions on how to use your package, but it turns out to just be another high-pressure trap to squeeze more money out of you. Now that we want out, their customer service is basically non-existent. They ignore complaints, dodge calls, and refuse to offer any real solutions or fair exit options. Run the other way!
We were lied to from the getgo about…
We were lied to from the getgo about the ease of resale and the ease of getting a time schedule. We went on a beach trip and salesmen spent hours trying to get us to upgrade. When my husband died, I asked them to sell our time because I am almost 80 and can't use it. I got such a runaround, they kept charging me for "dues" which kept going up. Please, don't get involved with any timeshare, especially Bluegreen!!!!!
Stay away from this business
Stay away from this business. They sell you on a cheap vacation package and then they overcharge for anything they can. Pushy sales tactics and bad service.
Our experience with Bluegreen
We originally bought our Bluegreen timeshare hoping to take more vacations, but the entire experience has been extremely frustrating. The initial sales meeting was a high pressure trap. It dragged on for over four hours, and they kept swapping out different representatives to pressure us into buying. They made it sound like a great investment, but didn’t tell us how much the fees would increase over time. The resorts are nowhere near the luxury they promised us during their sale. It’s better to just book regular hotels when you want to travel.
ABSOLUTELY AWFUL COMPANY DO NOT BOOK…
ABSOLUTELY AWFUL COMPANY DO NOT BOOK WITH THESE PEOPLE!!! I had booked a 4 day 3 night vacation at the Spark by Hilton through Bluegreen Vacations. When i arrived at the hotel i was told that there was an electrical explosion the day before and that they would not be able to accommodate our stay. When i called Bluegreen I was promptly put on hold for over 40 minutes only to be told that the hotel they were able to find for me was 2 HOURS away from my intended travel destination. When I said that was unacceptable and asked for a refund I was told that I was past the 30 day cancellation AND THAT THEY WERE GOING TO CHARGE ME A 99 CANCELATION FEE!!! BECAUSE THEY’RE HOTEL LITERALLY EXPLODED!?!? Awful customer service, zero understanding or sense of responsibility for their customers.
