Stay away from this scam

Stay away from this scam, they operate at best as a shitty scam company trying to sell you bogus vacation plan. Not worth it, They ate my brain for 45 mins and then out of frustration I bought a vacation from them, at the time of booking I was told I could cancel it within 45 days, when I called on 43 or 44th day I was told I could only cancel it within the first 30 days and it says on my account and what not, yeah right that's not what you told me at the time of selling me your shitty vacation plan. Scammers!

Do not do it its a scam

Like others our experience was a giant disappointment. They don't want to take no for an answer!!! They kept trying to convince us to do the timeshare by lowering our monthly payment. Do not go with Bluegreen as you can see in the reviews no one is Happy with this company.

They are just a money grab business

They are just a money grab business. They have bass pro sell you a package claiming all kindof of goodness. Then they switch you just a basic stay and make you do their time share meeting to try to sell you more stuff. I also needed to reschedule my trip. They want 99 buck to do so. Wouldn't recommend this to anyone for any reason.

Bluegreen Unreliability

If you ever get approached by Bluegreen Vacations, keep walking. I fell for the trap and had to drive to Orlando for what was supposed to be a quick 30 to 45-minute group sales pitch. Instead, I was cornered by two sales reps for several hours.

Bluegreen has been nothing but a headache and actually using the timeshare is virtually impossible. They told me I would never have trouble booking, which has not been true at all. They won't let you make a reservation more than 90 days out, and I can never get a room at any of the local places that actually interest me. I’ve gotten so frustrated that I’ve entirely stopped trying to use it. Worst of all, the costs have almost doubled since I first signed up, and every time I talk to them, they just try to pressure me into spending more money to upgrade my level.
This has been an ongoing issue for several years.

Poor Communication

We are beyond exhausted by the constant run-around regarding our account status. One moment we are told we’re in collections for a disputed amount, and the next, the collection agency itself says we aren't. It is incredibly frustrating to have proof from the collection agency that our records are clear, yet Bluegreen's staff continues to claim they can’t help us because of an active collection status.

We have reached out repeatedly to get a simple, clear answer on which of our accounts have been cancelled, but the lack of transparent communication is staggering. While we finally received a termination notice for one property, we are still completely in the dark about the others and cannot get a comprehensive list of what we supposedly still own. We even stopped payments back in 2023 because we were told that would lead to cancellation, but we still have no official confirmation. We’ve tried connecting with specific contacts like Yayonna since mid-September with zero luck, and it feels like our requests for basic information are being ignored. This level of unresponsiveness and record-keeping failure is unacceptable for any business.m

Very disappointed with blue green vacations

We had a highly disappointing experience with Bluegreen Vacations. They kept us in our first sales meeting for hours, every time we said no, they just brought in another salesperson to wear us down. We were promised that we could travel anywhere and that they would show us exactly how to book our trips, but that never happened. Once we got home and looked at the materials, we realized the destinations we actually wanted weren't even available to us. Bluegreen is nothing like the luxury they tell you it is…and it just keeps getting more expensive. I am now a 100% disabled veteran and unable to travel much and don’t need this extra expense.

Awful Customer Service

I am incredibly disappointed with our experience with Bluegreen, and I feel it is important to share the reality of our situation. My spouse and I have invested a lot of money into this business, yet we are now struggling with a contract that feels like a massive financial burden rather than a benefit. From the beginning, the process felt wrong. We were subjected to high-pressure sales tactics by the reps, which left us feeling like we had absolutely no choice but to move forward with the purchase. Unfortunately, the reality of the fees and benefits has never aligned with what was represented to us during that meeting. While we have used the account a few times, the ongoing costs have become completely unmanageable, and we still owe thousands. When we reached out for help, the customer service was equally frustrating. A representative named Jennifer told us she couldn't assist because we have an open loan, and her only suggestion was to stop making payments. Being told to let our account go into default and move to "archival status" after months of non-payment is not a professional or viable solution for anyone concerned about their financial standing. We are frustrated with Bluegreen and the people we have spoken to. It is disheartening to feel brushed off when asking for a proper resolution or the chance to speak with a supervisor who actually has the tools to help us. This has been an awful experience and I would not wish this on my worst enemy.

Causes cancer of your retirement funds

When Bluegreen got us into a meeting it dragged on for hours with very high pressure sales representatives. Unfortunately, almost everything they sold us on turned out to be misleading. Over the years, our maintenance fees have become unaffordable, while the benefits and booking options we actually cared about have drastically diminished. We’ve made attempts to use the timeshare, but there is a real lack of availability. It’s unclear what you even pay for with Bluegreen. We advise you to steer clear of this company.

Blue Green bad news

The presentation took longer than we thought, they painted a picture of the perfect vacation. They tell you all the benefits and how it's an investment. We foolishly said ok let's do it. Paperwork took 4 plus hours there were issues with the contract. We were charged triple the deposit. We knew right away we needed to get out.
We were lucky and did everything correctly and eventually got all of our money back but it took over a month. This was a very stressful experience.

We are incredibly disappointed with our…

We are incredibly disappointed with our experience with Bluegreen Vacations. We initially attended a sales presentation because we were offered a discounted trip to Gatlinburg, but we ended up trapped in a meeting for half a day where they rushed and pressured us into buying. The sales reps made all sorts of claims that Bluegreen never kept, like giving us a personal representative to help us, which was a total lie. We have tried to use this timeshare but there is never any availability. We even tried reaching out through their website chat to complain about our issues, but they never responded or offered any help. This whole experience has been stressful, deceptive, and financially draining, and we highly recommend avoiding them.

Not Happy

We purchased our Bluegreen timeshare back in 2013. Over time, we have come to realize that Bluegreen is not everything it is cracked up to be. We only went to their sales meeting because we were offered a discounted trip, but the meeting ended up dragging on for hours. The sales representatives told us that our maintenance fees would remain stable and that we would have access to plenty of great destinations, but neither of those things turned out to be true. We have only been able to use the timeshare five or six times because booking the locations we actually want is incredibly difficult. Bluegreen also has yearly maintenance fees that will go up on you every year. Save your money and stay away from Bluegreen.

Nightmare of a stay in Orlando

I was so excited into looking into a vacation club since my kids live across the United States and the youngest in Florida. So it would pay for itself just traveling to see him. I had owned blue green 20 years ago when my kids dad was still alive but after he got injured in the war and died I let his parents take it because they had more time to take the kids than i did traveling. Well I got completely lied to when I was offered this trip. I was told when I paid the amount to get the travel ticket that I would be staying at there resort and I would get a free gift after doing the 2 hour tour. Which would be at the resort I was staying at. So I didn't need to worry about getting there or anything. Well when I called to confirm they said I would be staying at the Hilton Garden inn. I was delayed at the airport leaving for over 12 hours.so I called to tell them I would be late getting in. The lady was rude and said well you must come by the welcome center before you check in to hotel. I asked well it's right there at the resort correct she said your hotel should be 25 to 30 minutes away. I said excuse me.i said well y'all will pick me up for my tour then correct she said no you will need a rental car or Uber. Well I finally arrived at my hotel the morning after I was suppose to arrive I laid down for an hour then got up to go to the tour my son took me and dropped me off and said he would be back a little over 2 hours later before he had to go to work to get me back to hotel. The hotel toilet didn't work you had to pour a bucket of water down it to make it flush..well I went through what was suppose you o be a 2 hour tour I was at almost 3. I told them the resort was nice but all the lies were not something I felt comfortable buying into. The sales agent I had was very sweet but when I told her boss all the reason I didn't feel comfortable right then making the choice. The boss Oscar jumped on here they came back and called me a liar that I had never owned a time share. I said well my last name and any info you would have from my name now wouldn't show you. I was beyond stressed because at now time for my son to head to work everyone had attitudes. No one followed up with there promises for this vacation and instead I stayed in a rundown motel, no free gift and none of their promises kept. I don't suggest anyone pay the small fee for this amazing trip because I spent more having to pay to get back and forth to pick up paper and then a tour that was all common sense but common sense showed me there are better travel clubs and they will lie you then keep you 3 times the time said. I can't imagine I would have been there all day of I had purchased. Please don't fall for their scam at Bass Pro or a phone call that they bring up your about to loose the trip you had paid for. Try other travel clubs

ZERO EMPATHY

My husband and I have had a terrible time with Bluegreen Vacations. It has been a total financial and emotional nightmare for us. We only signed up after a long, intense four-hour meeting where they promised us gift cards. They didn't tell us everything about the costs and gave us wrong information. Even though we have good credit, we got stuck with a high 16% interest rate. Our annual fees are already $1,665 and they go up every year. We've paid $12,000 so far but still owe more than $21,000. This is way too much for us since we are retired and on a fixed income.

Using the points system is almost impossible. They promised us a "free stay" at our resort, but it was only for one night. We had to use extra points for big rooms we didn't even want. It's very hard to book a trip because nothing is ever available unless we plan almost a year in advance. Plus, their planners mostly offer weekdays. If we used our 10,000 points for a weekend, we wouldn't have enough left for any other trips.

The worst part is how the staff treated us. They kept bothering us to spend more money. When we said we couldn't afford a $12,000 upgrade, one staff member told my retired husband he should just get a job again. They also told us this was a great gift to leave for our kids, but our three children don't want it. They don't want to be stuck paying bills for a vacation they can only take once every three years. We feel like we were lied to and we just want to cancel this contract to stop the stress but they don’t care about any of that.

No Way Out - DON'T ever fall for it

I got completely pressured into buying a timeshare with Bluegreen. They kept me in a meeting that lasted for hours. They completely misled me about how expensive the timeshare would be over time. I’ve even tried to call to ask for help, their representative, Omari, was completely unhelpful. He told me that since I was past the state's 10-day cancellation window, a refund was impossible. Instead of offering any real options. This timeshare is a massive financial trap, and they do not care about their customers once they have your money. Do yourself a favor and do not fall for their sale.

Resort Cancellation

We have paid over $10,000 toward this ownership, yet every time we ask for help, we get the same response. Bluegreen keeps pointing us to resale, title transfer, or other departments, but nobody is willing to discuss a real cancellation option.

During our call with Kiesha Glasco, it was acknowledged that we have never used the timeshare. We also explained our health issues and financial hardship, but the ongoing maintenance fees continue to be a burden on our fixed income.

Bluegreen's latest response did not address our concerns. It simply repeated the same information we have already been given. We are tired of being sent in circles and just want a reasonable way to end this ownership.

A Company who really does not listen to their customers needs

I bought into Bluegreen Vacations after attending one of their sales presentations, where they put us under a tremendous amount of pressure. Bluegreen put on a dog and pony show about how great all of this would be. The reality has been a nightmare, and I strongly advise anyone considering a purchase to walk away.

Over the years, our maintenance fees have skyrocketed to the point where it’s impossible to keep us with. Bluegreen will take your points if you cannot use them and offer no refund in return. Bluegreen has also shown absolutely no empathy for our concerns. Reaching out for help results in agonizingly long hold times, unreturned calls from management, and dismissive letters. Avoid this company at all costs.

I was sold false promises and this company is OK with that

The representative who sold me this said I could get a refund before 1 year if it didn't work out. She promised that there was no risk and I could get my refund if I called in. The company policy is 30 days and they made no exception even though I was promised this by their companies representative. They didn't know why I was told this, but it was obvious that they made this false promise to close the sale. The customer service team that I spoke with is unable to make decisions and I was unable to speak to anyone that can go off script.

Bluegreen Vacations has been a nightmare. Very expensive and keeps going up.

Our experience with Bluegreen Vacations has been plagued by relentless pressure to spend more money in mandatory meetings that last for hours. While we were promised priority booking and excellent resort access, the reality has been nothing but restricted availability and deep frustration whenever we actually tried to book a vacation. Every time we visited a resort, we felt cornered into attending these meetings where they pushed us to make further purchases, which felt like harassment. Over the years, the bills have never stopped going up. We do not recommend Bluegreen Vacations

Unmet Promises

Do not choose Bluegreen if you are looking for flexibility, honesty, and availability. Since purchasing our timeshare we have been met with nothing but unmet promises and a massive financial burden. Trying to align their zero availability with a family’s schedule is completely impossible!

If I could leave a 0 star I would

If I could leave a 0 star I would. With the timeshare offer, when they offered it to me when they called me, they never told me that when they booked me into the Golden Nugget, that I would have to pay a $51 a night resort fee, or I would have never signed up for it. They also upgraded, they say it was an upgrade, but it's really not an upgrade. It was, I needed an ADA room, and they charged me $16.95 a night, which is not what they're supposed to do for an ADA room. But that was on top, so the total they charged me on top of what I had to pay for the resort, the timeshare thing that I had to go to their presentation for, the cost of the room for me to stay at the Golden Nugget was $215 plus $279 for the three-night stay and me to do their presentation. That was absolutely ridiculous. And I just want to send them a stern review that I'm not happy.
