We spent a great vacation doing the Hansa Highlights tour on De Holland. Organisation was perfect, notwithstanding a last minute change in the tour due to the low water level of the Yssel. The ship is very confortable and the personnel was professional and sympathetic. And the weather was just perfect.
Less positive was the very long waiting time of almost 2 hours to recover our car on the last day, this could probably be organized better. But especially negative was the complete and utter lack of friendliness and professionalism of our tour leader. Never a smile, never hello, never present when we set out in the morning, didn't bother to stop when cycling past clients who obviously seemed a bit lost, provided poor information on things to see and places to visit like he didn't know the region and just read some things on internet... Luckily, this was our second Boat Bike Tour in the Netherlands and, thanks to the fabulous tour leader we had the first time, were pretty familiar with biking in the Netherlands and the waypoint system.

It also is a bit a pity that the tour (or is this linked to the ship operator?) is so much geared towards German clients (food, briefing for German clients much longer than for others...) and that Boat Bike does not provide any information whatsoever in French, not even on the website. Many French speaking Belgians could be interested in travelling with Boat Bike Tours but are afraid because of the language.

This Hansa Highlights Tour from 20 to 27 August on the ship De Holland, has been a very good experience and may be recomended without restriction. Everything was perfect EXCEPT the tour leader (Tom) who really did a "minimum" service! He was not particulary sympathic, nerver showing any empathy towards us (we were a group of 6 persons); among other: not enquiring about our journey when coming back on the boat, neither wishing "good day" on the morning; in short, not friendly at all!

This was a well organised tour, beautiful routes and friendly, professional staff.

We will use this company again.

A enjoyable adventure cruising on the beautiful schip Mare fan Fryslan. The lovely skipper and his crew were outstanding.Their hospitality, friendliness and enthusiasm made the holiday such an enjoyable time for all.
Delicious meals everyday, plenty of time for relaxation after our bike rides and comfortable cabins. And a plunge in the jacuzzi on board to soak those tired muscles!
Definitely recommended!

We had a wonderful time on the Patria traveling along the Saar and Moesel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was exceptional. The area /region was beautiful.Our co-travelers were friendly and accommodating. The only negative point was that the tour guide didn't always explained things to us in English, we had to ask often for an explanation in English. Our suggestion is to book an ebike, the trip is so much more enjoyable if you aren't struggling against the wind:-)

Nico, our tour guide was there when we arrived on board the Anna Maria Agnes. He was friendly, relaxed and organized. That was the signature for the whole week! What a wonderful trip! We LOVED vacationing this way: everyday something new to see, everyday beautiful and intetesting bike routes, no searching for restaurants or hotels, no packing. The 'Southern Route' is the ideal combination of urban and rural.
The food was delicious and the crew was fantastic! The boat was clean and our room was cleaned everyday. I appreciated the option of open windows or air conditioning in the cabin.
Two points for improvement: 1. Remove the shower curtain in the bathroom. It doesn't keep the water out of the rest of the bathroom and it hangs in the way when showering. 2. We think that the captain should appear in uniform when the crew is presented to the guests. The rest of the crew is in uniform, why not the captain?
Thanks for a TOP vacation! We will be booking again!
