The four of us had never been on an 'organized tour' before and had concerns. These concerns turned out to be wholly unfounded and the week on De Amsterdam was perfect for us. We experienced ease and comfort on the boat (floating hotel) with good and plentiful food -- although we would have liked to have had a constant supply of infused water in the lounge rather than water in plastic bottles. I also hope that the (otherwise wonderful) chef turns more to plant-based and local foods. The routes selected for the biking were brilliant: scenic and varied. The GPS and map provided made the trips easy. We experienced freedom to go off and do our own thing, to cycle with whomever we wished, and to be as fast or as slow as we wanted. This was very important to us. The guides were helpful, kind and knowledgeable. The boat staff were efficient, kind and helpful. The lounge offered opportunity to be alone or to be sociable, depending on the mood and need. I would definitely do this again!

We recently came back from a 1 week Boat and Bike tour on the Elizabeth sailboat (captained by Alvin (Wuffie), which took us around the Ijsselmeer inner lake in Northern Netherlands. We never expected this tour to be so amazing. It was the 1st time we went on a bicycle tour and we absolutely loved it! We are of medium-low fitness level, aged 60-ish. The sailboat was much larger, more comforable than we expected. The captain+3 additional crew were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The captain was an excellent seaman, navigating the boat through tight bridges and locks. We had excellent dinners and breakfasts on the boat. The Cook-Max, took his job very seriously and provided dinners of gourmet quality from cuisines around the world. Each morning, after breakfast, the captain described the bike routes- you could take a shorter route (18-27mi), or a longer (25-44mi), and he gave detailed navigation instructions and we also had a GPS app with all the routes uploaded. When you booked the tour you had to decide on mechanical or ebikes. You couldn’t change your mind during the tour. My husband brought his own bike seat and tools, he still complained about the bike not being good for the 4-5hrs biking. Me, personally, I had no problem with the bike, but I did bring padded bike shorts to improve the possible seat discomfort. All in all we could handle the amount of cycling. Though next time we might opt for ebikes. There was occasion to help hoist the sails and there was a short swimming opportunity also. The boating portions were very relaxing and enjoyable. The other guests were all very friendly. The captain set up a joint whatsapp group for sharing pictures and in general he helped create comraderie between all the guests and crew. All in all I highly recommend this tour and I plan to do other boat and bike tours through this company.

Sailing ship, accommodation, staff, guides, cycles & cycling and Keukenhof tour were all great. Whilst food was good the vegetarian meals were really just a modified version of non-vegetarian dishes often with tofu added.
