Saga armchair

Beautifully designed and comfortable armchair, excellent service. It would be useful to receive some instructions in the package on how to use the chair (how to make it lean back), but when I asked, I got an immediate and helpful response.

Outlet item labeled as new

Outlet item labeled as new. Two of four drawers’ locking mechanism didn’t work. I was able to fix one. Other than that the dresser looks great!

Furniture is beautiful, but overall experience is below par

Furniture is beautiful and good quality. Overall Service was at poor level. Was selecting the color of the leather of the chairs. The girl gave me the choices. When I was ready to order the girl came to the conclusion that they only had 2 colors for this model without an apology. Was in total 3 times in the shop and have to say that shop responsible Roman was helpful and friendly.
Montage of your furniture in your house is not possible (imagine buying a wall mount tv cabinet), not even for an extra fee. We arranged a date for delivery of the furniture. Bolia rescheduled for one week later as the delivery company could not deliver. Received a phone call on the initial day from the delivery company that they would be at my house in 15 min. Luckily I was at home to receive all the Karton boxes with the furniture. Was extensively in contact with the customer service department in regards to the delivery date. They were not very professional and impolite. In short: happy with the furniture. Very unhappy with the Ikea style service and after service.
Btw also bought at Pfister and Schubiger. In really big contrast : Top service from buying until montage.

Great furniture, delay with delivery

We had two deliveries, one went super smoothly, the second was a month late. We are very happy with the furniture and its quality.

Nice vases

Nice vases. Service was good and the vases have even small stickers on the bottom in order not to scratch the furniture. this is being appreciated. Only the delivery could be quicker. Otherwise, always happy with Bolia.

Poor communication between staff…

Poor communication and know-how level amongst Bolia Zurich staff members. Each person will convey a different message to client on what is possible and what not. Technical system not easy to handle neither online by customers nor by the staff itself. In additions, one out of two staff members did not know how to retrieve an order or issue a bill.
The other half was extremely helpful, very customer-oriented and supportive.
However, Bolia Zurich shop needs to to work on professionalizing their system and services.

Excellent product and service - would recommend

We found the service to be friendly and informed without it being encroaching. Equally we were impressed with the quality of the product; as you would expect, is made from good quality material, finished to a very good standard. No assembly was required and the instruction on installation was clear and simple.

Delivery was exactly when arranged and efficiently executed. The amount of cardboard in the packaging was minimal and there was no single use plastic, which was encouraging.

The only comment is that the price of the delivery seemed a little high, though the discount on the shelves more than compensated. Overall I would recommend.

The article bought does not look as elegant

The article bought does not look as good as in the picture on the internet. It looks so elegant on the website but in real life a bit cheap.
Colors and material are not so nice and the way it is packed made it look even worse.
In addition, the return policy is not very flexible.

Disgraceful customer service

I have never experienced such horrible customer service before. In fact, complete lack of customer service would have been better (would have at least saved us some time and frustration).
We ordered a gray carpet from the online carpet, with the only catch that it had to be picked up 300km away, in the very limited time window that the pick-up point is open (only 2 days a week, for a few hours per day). We took half a day off work and traveled all the way to the remote pick-up point just to find out that Bolia had made a mistake and the carpet they sold us was in fact blue. This wouldn’t fit in our appartment at all (and wasn’t what we ordered anyway), so we refused to take it. We were sure that after all the inconvenience plus effort and money spent to get to the pick-up point, the Bolia customer service would at least offer us what we ordered without any questions asked (it was their mistake after all). How wrong we were! After exchanging a few emails, Bolia kept insisting that because it was an Outlet item, they would take no responsibility for their mistake and could only offer us a refund of what we paid. We agreed to the refund, which still hasn’t arrived after 3 weeks. We have now discovered that they just sent us a bill trying to charge us 1/4 of the price of the carpet as ‘cancellation fees’. We are almost starting to feel like we have been scammed and we are already looking into customer rights services for support.
Very disappointing experience, as we used to be good customers and their furniture is actually nice. Unfortunately their customer service lets the company massively down.

Edit to answer to Ms. Nielsen: Thank you for your response. This is about order 900947335, however I do not wish to communicate with your collegues again, since it’s only been a waste of time. About your not being able to exchange an outlet item with a new one: keep in mind that while this was happening, a new Loop carpet in the color we ordered cost only CHF60 more than what we paid for the outlet item (which was also supposed to be a new item, just with damaged packaging). We think that this CHF60 could have easily absorbed by Bolia especially since your mistake caused us to lose one day (and a lot of money in gasoline) to travel to the other side of Switzerland to pick up a non existing carpet that we paid for. Since sticking to your inflexible rules seems more important to keeping your customers happy, the 1-star review seems well deserved.

Meanwhile we have received a refund of only 75% of what we paid for, which makes us extremely frustrated and angry. How can you charge us a cancelation fee for an item that we tried to pick up but never existed??? Please make sure that we receive a full refund ASAP.
