Worst Customer Service Experience ever

Bolia has very nice furniture, if all goes well it is a nice shop. However their are ridiculously bad a resolving mistakes done at their side. Their customer service is extremely inflexible and not interested at all to keep a good customer. I spent quite some money at Bolia buying several furniture pieces in the shop and also one from their outlet shop. The outlet shop item Bolia failed to deliver at the end. This mistake done solely by Bolia caused me a lot of extra effort (organizing a car for pick up, travel to pickup point, several discussion with customer service after item was not present although they notified me pick up was ready). Bolia caused me a lot of trouble and they refused to accomodate me in this situation in any kind. Even the refund for my payed money is somehow delayed which just increases my very bad experience in this issue.

La chaise vendue très cher n’a pas la même qualité ni finition des modèles au magasin

I was very happy that Bolia agreed to change the chair.

Unfortunately it was delivered while I was away, and when I returned home, I found that the replacement chair had even more defects that the first chair that had been delivered. I have since the past three weeks been in communication with Bolia Customer Service, and have received today an email indicating that this was completely normal.

I am very unsatisfied and would recommend that a potential customer really think twice about paying so much money for expensive designed furniture that are delivered without a quality check.

I have asked that the previous piece of furniture which seemed to have at least 80% less defects be returned and that the current one be removed. This is the first time I have been deceived to this point when buying designer furniture.

L’attitude du Service Clients est inacceptable - car les réponses transmettent que c'est complètement-pas leur problème malgré le prix de la chaise et le fait qu’elle présente des défauts de couture sur les côtés, les coins, le haut de la chaise, et le dos de la chaise. Le produit livré est une chaise semble avoir plus de vingt ans ou le tissue d'ameublement a plein de faux pli et na plus des formes lisse car avec l'âge elle ne tombe pas bien car le tissue est déformé par l'usage.
Je suis très désolé d’avoir acheté une horrible chaise qui ne ressemble pas du tout à la qualité présentée dans le magasin. C'était mon premier achat à Bolia et c’était supposé être un cadeau pour mon enfant. C’est plutôt un cauchemar.

Great product

Great family table, good advice at the shop;
only pitfall: it was not clear at purchase, table was delivered un-mounted, had to spend some time for assembly.

The customer service nightmare

I love the bolia designs and the service at the shop is outstanding. Nevertheless they delivered one piece of my shelf in the wrong colour (i bought it at the shop and also had to pick it up there). I talked to costumer service and it was just a nightmare. Sometimes i didn‘t get an answer for 3 weeks, i always had to ask again if they can answer me and i also had to call several times. Customer service treated me like everything was correct with my order, eventhough i even sent photos of the shelf in the wrong colour. They wouldn‘t help me until the end (about a 1.5 months process). I went to the shop then, where they just gave me the right shelf without asking any question and they apologized for the inconvenience. Very friendly and helpful stuff, thanks again at the shop for being customer friendly and uncomplicated (zurich shop). Then about 7 months later i received an email from customer service again saying that i should transfer them around 240 chf before i pick up my order because of storage cost. Eventhough i had this huge inconvenience before and picked up the shelf about 9 months ago! So as you see they have zero control over their systems, neither what they deliver nor when they delivered it. Just make sure you buy your bolia stuff directly at the store, check your delivery before you take it home and avoid customer service under any circumstances.

I really was happy with Leyla who…

I really was happy with Leyla who helped me a lot to choose the sofa and table.
However, the consequences of delivery were unacceptable.
I passed hours on the phone to talk to transport companies who called me saying that they can't deliver.
I had to contact and re-contact Bolia to understand what's going on.
Finally, I got my sofa later than planified.
I was really disappointed by this incident.
Otherwise, I like the concept of furniture in the shop in Geneva.

Both pieces of furniture that were…

Both pieces of furniture that were delivered were slightly defective. The Mood Highboard has small scratches on the front and the legs of the Mix coffee table did not come screwed/bolted together very well, they still seem somewhat unstable to support the marble.

Lovely products but nightmare delivery service

Lovely products, however absolutely incompetent staff and delivery was a nightmare. First, we were told in the shop that our dining room table would come fully assembled as part of the delivery charge which is 150 CHF for one table! While Pfister and other shops in Switzerland include full service in their delivery for much less. We had ordered a sofa and dining table just a week apart and had asked if they could be combined into one order and delivered on the same day. Again we were told this was no problem, however only the table arrived and they had no idea why the sofa was not delivered with it and now they want to charge two times delivery costs!! It seems the staff in the shop have no decision making ability and must call everything to customer service in Denmark which then fails to coordinate the requests properly. When the delivery arrived, we were told that it does not include assembly and that we did not pay to have our old table taken away (which we had paid 59 CHF extra for). I had to speak with customer service in Denmark before they agreed to assemble it. The delivery is contracted out to a shipping company that does not take any care. They were dirty, smelly, and careless and scratched the walls of our newly painted apartment. They should provide their own delivery service instead of contracting out to a sub-par company with no care about the product. For the price they charge, I will definitely only shop in the future from shops like Pfister where they take care of their own delivery, assembly, and removal of old furniture for a fixed low price. Bolia also gave a 5 hour window for delivery and then arrived at the end of that period. I had to waste half a day of work just waiting for them and will now have to take another half day away to wait for my sofa. What a nightmare!

I am very sorry to read all the troubles you have had with your orders at Bolia. First of all, it is not a normal service that we assemble any products except sofas. I am sorry that you received this information in the store. Second of all, I am also sorry that we did not deliver all your products at one time. As I am looking into the case, I do not see any "weird" things and everything looks correct wherefore I do not understand how it happened. However, mistakes happen - even at Bolia. I can only apologize that we did not offer the super brand service we are promising our customers.

apparently a known mistake in their…

apparently a known mistake in their discounting led to non delivery. so i had to take another half day off. customer center was not really interested in finding a solution, just followed their nonsense protocoll. i am not a happy customer at all

Dirty furniture delivered, bad customer service

I bought a day bed in the Geneva Bolia store, where the employees were very helpful. They informed me it would take almost 2.5 months for the day bed to arrive, but I figured it was worth the wait for the right piece.

However, when the day bed arrived, I immediately noticed that there were marks/scratches all over it. I contacted customer service and they simply told me that the marks are not considered defects. They told me that I have to clean the (supposedly new) furniture myself and gave me instructions for how to. Alternatively they told me that I could return the day bed against a 25% cancellation fee. Two "wonderful" options.

The marks are still there and I realise that Bolia will not lift a finger to fix the product they sold and delivered, but at least I have learned a lesson: DO NOT ORDER FURNITURE FROM THIS COMPANY.

Great shop, but difficult customer service

We had an amazing experience in the store and would give Bolia 5 stars if it wasn't for our experience with the customer service.
We reported that our furniture arrived with an ugly, visible scratch and I immediately reported this on the day with photos but had to write several emails back and forth as they claimed that this is due to the wood. After many emails and calls, Bolia first wanted to give a small discount and in the end they agreed to give a new table. Quite surprised that this had to be such a painful experience on top of the long waiting time (probably due to the Christmas).
On top of this, was this delivery delayed due to production, which of course can happen, and they call 2 days before to report this. Initially there was no compensation for this, but then the customer service agreed to give a voucher of 150 EUR, when I received the email this was changed to 125 CHF corresponding to 107 EUR. Not a big deal, but would be nice if they would get their numbers right or just give the initial promised amount.
As said really happy with the experience in the shop, but didn't expect that every minor thing with customer service had to be such a painstaking process with inconsistencies and trying to save a few euros. Happy we didn't have more problems and really a shame as we love their shops and products.

Delivered the wrong thing

Delivered the wrong thing. Didnt reply with a solution for two weeks. Will deliver right thing in 2 months time (I hope).
Shop told us it would be fixed in one week just so we wouldnt bother them - then the 'customer service' center informed us that wasnt true.

I had a great experience with your staff in the stores. Everyone was very helpful. Unfortunately I have had some issues with deliveries and with the quality of the sofa I bought. The customer service person has been very pleasant and helpful but I am still not getting satisfactory help from the product department.
