Our family just spent a fabulous 5 days at Kington Grange with the super hosts Susan & Phil.
The very spacious property is great with lovely comfortable bedrooms & different rooms to mooch between to relax in during the day. The gardens are beautiful and we made good use of the tennis court and wild swimming water. We really didn’t need to go anywhere.
Susan & Phil were the most generous welcoming hosts and full of local knowledge of interest.
Highly recommend!

Good location fairly quiet off the main tourist part of Bourton.
A lot of repairs, maintenance and purchasing of essential equipment is needed to bring the cottage up to a good standard.
Definitely overpriced for the facilities in the cottage.
Would not stay there again.

Although we didn’t end up travelling to the cottage, due to personal
circumstances, I felt I must write a review to commend the fast and efficient way Bolthole Retreats dealt with my cancellation. They were sympathetic to the issue and gave me a refund which I really didn’t expect and they were not obliged to do. It is this compassionate approach which means they now have my loyalty and I will use them when we are in a position to book in the future.

Beautiful place to stay with family and friends. Its like living in the small castle for few days, so peaceful, views and surroundings are amazing.
I recommend it 100%

Stayed in Lady Jane Grey. Lovely cottage, superbly situated. Smallest room does need a new bed though.

We stayed at Vine Cottage over the bank holiday weekend, the cottage is beautifully maintained and everything is to a very high standard. The flexibility to work around our arrival and departure times was exceptional and made the stay all the more memorable. Can’t wait to return…

The Granary is one of the nicest places I have stayed. I stayed for 4 nights recently with my husband, 2 teenagers, mum and 2 dogs. The Granary outlooks on a beautiful garden, surrounding countryside and beautiful views. We stayed when the temperatures were an all high in the 30's and as the bedrooms are downstairs we found these cool in the evening. It it equipped with everything you need and is a great base. Although you can't walk to any shops or pubs its all a short drive away. I would definitely recommend it, just a tranquil relaxing spot.

Great information, kept up to date often and an amazingly high standard property we stayed at. Everything was effortless and well arranged. Super happy we found Bolthole retreats. Looking forward to another stay.

Wonderful place to stay, we were there during heatwave and had to thoroughly scrub all the patio chairs and tables, apart from that, great accommodation for three generations

We had a wonderful stay at Forsythia Cottage in Bourton on the Water. Perfectly located, very clean and the host Paul was excellent. I thoroughly recommend this option for a stay in The Cotswolds.

Terrible company who come up with no compensation remedy at all considering how filthy the place was and health and safety issues. Just took our money with no remedy offered considering all the photos and videos sent to them of various issues

The housekeeper was very helpful and responsive. The property once booked was an easy process, not lots of emails/questions, easy to access. It was in very beautiful and magical natural surroundings, really unique, and the only constructive feedback was the interior was a bit more basic/tired than the photos suggested. A little more 'hostel' than 'home', little bit musty. It could have done with some more homely touches such as cushions, colour on the walls, more well-furnished kitchen. However it was clean and the surrounds made up for the interior. And the interior did not dampen our spirits and my dad liked it so much he wants to come back!

Booking through Bolthole retreats was an easy and smooth transaction and all communication was clear and concise.
Hare cottage is located a short drive outside of Tetbury and we felt it was the perfect base to explore the various towns and villages in the Cotswolds. Quiet and secluded, it’s the perfect place to relax. The cottage itself is beautifully presented, clean and well maintained, with everything you’ll need for your stay. The fully equipped kitchen was perfect to prepare those full English breakfasts and the beds were super comfortable with the softest of linens.
The garden was a wonderful place to relax in the evenings as we had perfect sunny weather and our dog really enjoyed running round the garden. We did have to keep an eye on her as she’s a bit of an escape artist and even though the garden is listed as enclosed and secure for dogs, she would have found it easy to squeeze through the gaps in the stable style gates at the front of the property. But that was not a massive issue in exchange for the wonderful outside space.
We all thoroughly enjoy our stay at this beautiful property.

Well equipped, clean, spacious house.
The only issue was the WiFi which was poor, as was the television reception, we couldn't watch it.

Perfectly situated for Chipping Campden High Street. Shops and places to eat just a short stroll away. Added bonus of the cottage having its own parking space off the road. Sheep Street is a fairly busy road but the traffic didn’t bother us.
Immaculately and tastefully decorated and furnished throughout.
Shower is quite small and l thought another electric socket would be helpful by the bedroom mirror so the hairdryer could be used.

A great place! You wouldn’t realise you’re only 15mins from the centre of Oxford. Very peaceful spot, great little conversion well thought out with finer details. Well equipped kitchen, beds comfortable, shower and bath are lovely (but note a deep step into the bath/shower). You get your own garden with garden furniture.
Step free access into the property with a small narrow stair case to mezzanine level. Twin beds are upstairs and double down stairs. Toilet only downstairs.
Owners are very helpful and great hosts. They leave you to get on and do your thing but there if you need them. Pub in village is good and a short footpath walk to the next village has a great Thai pub.
Thornhill park and ride is the closest for Oxford days out, but the countryside is awesome. The Farm shop is worth a visit well stocked produce and a pick your own!
We liked it so much we extended our stay 😊

It was a lovely house, well equipped/ appointed and spotlessly clean. Ideally located for our large gathering.

Absolutely perfect! Wonderful location with easy access to all villages, an adorable cottage with cute decor, great linens and comfortable beds. The half bath downstairs was a huge plus as was having a washer dryer. Kitchen is well equipped with anything you might need but there also many good restaurants close by as well as a pharmacy and grocery store. Communication with the rental manager was sterling. Only negative thing was having to leave!
