Small piece broke so now I can’t use my styler 16 months after purchase - just get the Shark one already!

I bought a BondiBoost Everlast Airstyler which is now completely unusable after only 16 months of light, standard use.

It has a fundamental design issue that makes it far less durable than expected, the attachment locking mechanism started to fracture 10 months only after I got it.

To me, for such a small but key piece to render the whole tool basically unusable is a core structural and product design issue. Once the small attachment ring completely broke, I could no longer fit any of the attachments, so I even though the motor and the rest of the product are still working perfectly.

I reached out to bondi boost who told me it’s a non-replaceable component.

Something that is subject to regular use like a air dryer should not fail this early, and certainly should not render the entire tool obsolete. The lack of replaceable parts makes this unnecessarily wasteful and raises questions about the overall durability of the product.

When I contacted BondiBoost, I was told the product was out of warranty and was offered a meagre 20% discount to purchase a new one, which honestly feels like an insult to my intelligence.

Looking back, I should’ve just gone with a standard babyliss dryer (which last for years) or fork out the money an buy the shark styler (at this point, I’d have made up the cost per use).

Poor quality, overpriced and caused hair loss

Like many of the reviews on here for BondiBoost.com.au my experience dealing with customer support in the UK was poor and incredibly disappointing.

I have tried many of the BondiBoost product ranges including HG, Thickening and Rapid Repair to help with my thinning hair. They only made it worse and instead I lost more hair in the shower and when simply combing my hair. Their shampoo and conditioners left my hair dry and incredibly tangled, resulting in further hair loss and breakage. I tried their new hair tangle therapy spray, which just doesn’t help. The blowout brush that I invested in took 8 weeks to arrive and just burns my hair and fingers, I had to stop using it after a few attempts. Overall I think this company’s products are poor quality, overpriced and their product marketing is misleading. They only publish positive reviews and remove customers who share honest feedback from their support group.
