the builders Hillside Builders came quickly when I got in touch.Checked the problem which was leaking roof on my porch advising me on the solution which I was happy with.
Unfortunately due to ill health I put off having repair done.
I have been back in touch with the builders now and they are going to get back in touch with me when they can fit my work in

I would not hesitate to use this company again . It was easy to use .It is refreshing to know that all the trades people are reliable . And you know upfront the cost of the job that you want done . 10 out of 10

Had never used any trade search websites before so this was a first for me. I was very wary/cautious in case I ended up with a "bad one" (trade person).
Bookabuilder advertised the "SafePay" method which I interpreted as providing some form of protection against being ripped off or paying for an unsatisfactory job. The "SafePay"process was unclear and not intuitive and after a couple of days, I gave up.
Job was urgent so I took the risk of paying deposit direct to tradesperson. I was lucky I had found an honest tradesperson through Bookabuilder who did a really good job. Started on a Saturday and even came back on Sunday to finish which suited me not having to take time off work.
Maybe I was being overcautious but the tradesperson I found on Bookabuilder was honest and kept to the schedule and budget.
If I need anymore work doing I'll feel more confident using Bookabuilder and not waste time on other trade search websites.

We had a front garden wall that needed rebuilding due to the footings being done wrongly by a previous builder. Used this service and was given a few quotes, chose AJ Builders who came out explained what needed doing gave a reasonable quote for the job. Came out the following week took the wall down, redid the footings and built the wall within 2 days. Wall is just what we wanted, they were professional, friendly, efficient and cleaned up afterwards would highly recommend.

We booked last minute after my shower wasn’t regulating after a boiler change , it was decided that we would replace the shower anyway. When the fitter arrived he hadn’t been told so had to go and buy a shower. This was installed but he didn’t check it fully and it was assumed it was regulating however it wasn’t . I called the follow day and it was then decided it was the boiler installer who had swapped the pipes over when he remove the shower pump. They sent a new installer for the shower and he checked the install of the boiler and swapped the pipes over and all resolved, it did cost an extra £120 as they had to charge for him to come out as a repeat visit. I am very happy with the workmanship and shower and that the issue was solved .

Really easy, straightforward process. Almost immediate responses from traders. Saves a lot of hard work researching traders yourself. Bookabuilder then follow up to ensure everything is going smoothly.

SCAM! Do not spend your hard earned money with this cowboy company. I have been signed up for over 3 months and have not received one lead. As soon as the sneaky sales people take your money, they dissapear never to be heard from again. Theres no option on your profile to speak with customer service. They get you on one deal, then the very next day try and pester you into a more expensive deal. Once this is refused you never hear from them again. Again please don't spend with these as they do not have the leads they claim to have, they are a cowboy outfit and I will be reporting to the watchdog.

I’ve been a member of Book a builder for a number of years now and they’ve always worked for me when it comes to getting work.

i needed a new tap to go from my utility room to go outside aswell he came out and gave me a price and continued with the job , didnt take long and he done an excellent job

The company seem to be fine but I did not get any responses for my posted job, bathroom light fitting and extractor fan replacement, which was disappointing.
