it did not let me cancel the order and it is being rude so i think it is a scam🤬

Be careful what you order from book outlet. They advertised the special edition of a book and then sends you the normal version. In their FAQ they state that they can't control what cover or if you get spray edges but that's no excuse. If you can't guarantee the spray edges then use the normal image of the book.

When I complained to them about it they said they have no control over sending special editions or normal edition of books. But my question still stands. WHY ARE YOU POSTING SPECIAL EDITIONS OF BOOKS IF YOU CAN'T GUARANTEE THEM? JUST POST THE NORMAL IMAGE OF THE BOOK.

At first, the Experience was rocky—not all because of Bookoutlet. A mix of holiday hours, the postal strike, Christmas, and Purolator made my experience less desirable.

I made an order on December 18, 2024, and didn't receive it until Jan 13, 2025. I discovered the package was undeliverable in late December and contacted book outlet about changing the address to correct the issue. It took 7 days and a 1-star review on here to get any sort of reply from them.

They reshipped my order and gave me a refund on the books that were sold out with a different address and currier. Then both packages ended up being delivered on Jan 14.

I wanted to send back the one box but they informed me to keep the extra books and if I don't want the doubles to donate them. I thought that was a great idea.... now to find a place that wants romance books.

Be on the lookout: the additional info including the printing date may be wrong. Example: Turning Angel by Greg Isles. Book Outlet says printed in 2023 -- but the copyright is 2005. Not the first time they've used the reprint date instead of the printing date. Synopses are occasionally inaccurate too. Annoying if you read so much you forget the occasional title.

I have been ordering from Books outlet from last 3 years and I am glad about it.. the books are always in great condition and delivery is fast.. but 1 thing that outshines most is their impeccable service and commitment.. I am relieved that book outlet is here and I am not emptying my purse on books .. I am getting quality products at very affordable prices.. thank you so much books outlet !!!!

I am obsessed with this company. I was skeptical when I placed my first order in January 2024 that the books would be torn and dented, but they arrived in perfect or near perfect condition.
I have placed over a dozen orders from their site over the last year after discovering them, and I've only had positive experiences.
Awesome company with good customer service, quick shipping, and amazing prices. Would recommend ordering.

Fast service, excellent packaging, great selection, and low price. Couldn't ask for more. Free shipping (on orders over $50) was nice too.

I ordered twice through the Canadian website. They shipped fairly quickly and arrived in 5 days from Ontario to BC.
The second time I ordered, I was a bit disappointed that 3 of the books were slightly damaged on their covers but the inside pages were fine. There were 10 books in the box, but I assumed they would package them better but they were just stacking in the box.

When I was in the states and ordered through the American website, my package was lost at a usps distribution center. Eventually it was found like 4 or 5 months later. Book outlet issued me a refund when I reported that the box was lost and at some point usps delivered the box and the books were in good condition.

Overall the customer service for both the American and Canadian warehouses are responsive.

The prices are great if you’re buying a lot at once.

Overall, I would buy more if the selection is better. But I’m pleased with everything regardless.

I have made several orders with this company, found the books to be in good shape and always quite fast. In the last order I was so happy to see a coupon for $10 off $50 purchase before August 31 this year. So I just finished making an order for just over $50 thinking that now I qualify for this coupon and I would get my order. BUT when placing order I saw that amount being charged came out to more than previous, before coupon was applied. SO what happened is they are now going to charge for shipping. So order is not placed. That is one hell of a promotion.

Great service, timely and I get all the books I ordered within days! I did get a few books that were damaged a little but it only happened twice but it was nothing concerning. Still a very nice site I will continue to use for my book buying!

Used to be great but they changed who provides their shipping services and now it's godawful because it won't ship ANYWHERE, it used to ship fine to my house for a flat fee, now shipping costs more and it won't even deliver to my *town*, it wanted me to drive all the way to the city 2 hours away for it. It's devastating because I used to order from them all the time with no issue.

I am a big books lover. For myself, for my family and friends. Book is always my gift of choice. Book Outlet is amazing. Great choice of books, unbeatable prices, fast shipping and most excellent customer service. I am so happy to have found them. I have received books a bit damaged a couple of times but got an immediate replacement. This is an exceptional company. The only downside, for my wallet, is that I can't stop ordering books all the time. More than I ever had ;)

I recently ordered from Book Outlet for the first time. The prices were amazing, the shipping was fast & the books are in great condition.

One of the books that arrived was not the one I purchased. I emailed their customer service and got a quick, friendly response. They didn’t ask me to return the book I received; they requested I donate to a locate charity if I did not want to keep it, and are sending the correct book immediately.

I’m very impressed with their customer service, book options and prices! I will definitely purchase from them again!

Prices are good but I live 10 minutes from their location and paid 10.00 for shipping. They should offer a pickup option.

I was hesitant to purchase my books with an unknown company but the prices were unbelievably low compared to Amazon and Indigo. My experience exceeded all my expectations. My "discounted" books were in pristine condition, delivered to me in less than a week, packaged very securely and I collected some points. I will certainly use Book Outlet again.

I was short shipped an item. When I contacted customer service they said I had been shipped the correct quantity. After sending them a picture of the order I received and a screenshot of my actual order did they acknowledge an error had been made. My item was still available online however they said they wouldn't send me my short shipped item since it was "peak season" and that I would need to re-buy the item on their website meaning I would have to pay for shipping just to receive the item that I had originally ordered. I find this contradicting as they are stating they won't send my item due to "peak season" but is also asking me to re-buy it and pay for shipping. Very poor customer service and contradicting information.

I still did not receive any email. I still am locked out. I paid, and had ordered 9 books. Maybe it is because I'm not writing in business hours? I contacted them, and no response. Hopefully I will receive a response on Monday. Disapointed.
