Never use to develop your 35mm film
I handed my film be developed into the christchurch branch (438) order number 5160006 on the 26th March with a pick up date of the 16th April (longer than 9 days advertised) on the 16th I went in to collect. photos not there, boots staff called CEWE to be told they had not received it till 10th April (problem with Boots sorted very quickly with compensation) and would be another week. On the 23rd April I went in again still no photos staff called up again as did I only to be told it was in processing, on the 30th same story. In my call to the boots photo help line I asked for a member of management to call me back to explain all these problems as of the 1st May no one has contacted me.The film was put through a camera in order to find out if I had a problem this delay meant that I had to buy another film and find some to develop it which they did in 4 working days. This delay and lack of any information means I will never use CEWE for any photo requirements even though
I had used them for phonebooks. In short do not trust CEWE to develop a 35mm film. As of 1st May CEWE have had my film for 16 days when advertising states 9 working days to return your prints from handing in. Reason for 1 star is the great service of boots staff in Christchurch

I wanted some 5 inch x 3.5 inch photos printed online and shipped to me. The best deal I found was with Boots. The quality of the printing and speed of delivery were exceleent. I will use them again.

Useless service
Order confirmed as ready to print in-store. The machine did not recognise the order and the staff said "there is nothing we can do - all you can do is ring the company". On ringing the helpline "go back to the shop and tell them to reboot the computer; if it doesn't work, try ordering again". Quite extraordinary 'customer service' to have the customer as the go-between to Boots internal teams. I now understand how they developed the "Boots, who cares" tagline.

CEWE Photostation. Took payment, no photos and no proper response from CEWE.
Awful. Used a CEWE machine in Boots Ryde. After payment it said 'System Error' and no photos. I tried again and once more. It produced a receipt for £6.30 with 'system error' printed along the bottom. Staff member said 'not to worry, it's happened before and the money will be back in your account in a couple of hours'. Later that day I saw that 3 x £6.30 had been removed from my bank account. Barclays got one refunded. Wrote and complained to CEWE and Boots with receipt and screen shot of bank withdrawals. Boots understandably said it was not their problem and contact CEWE. CEWE fudged the question and stopped replying to me. It's only £12.60 they still owe me but its the principal so they can have a 1 star review

Great quality products
I have regularly used Boots photo over the years and have been very happy with the service. The end products look amazing and are much admired by friends and family. The new website took a little longer to navigate than previously, but it is worth the effort.
