Scam artists

Scam artists - the worst customer service I have ever seen. They automatically renewed our subscription even though we said we are not interested. They sent the reminder to a person in the organization not responsible and so we were not able to cancel within 30 days - even though we don’t use the service. Totally unacceptable and absolutely the worst company ever. There are thousands of cheaper alternatives. This is a bad organization.

Do not sign a contract

We are a small design agency with a very specific Adobe InDesign use case. Before signing, we were extremely clear that if this use case did not work at scale, the product would not make sense for our business.

Brandfolder repeatedly assured us it would work, demoed the platform, and pushed us into signing a contract. Once we began using the product in real conditions, it became clear that the platform could not scale for the workflow they promised.

When we raised this concern, Brandfolder continued to offer “product specialists” to show us how to use the platform. We did not need training — we understood how to use the product. The issue was structural limitations around scale. Instead of addressing that, we were told that all SaaS products “have a learning curve,” which felt dismissive and avoided the actual problem.

After only 15 days, we requested a refund. Brandfolder refused to budge.

Overall, this experience felt condescending and like a case of overpromising during sales and deflecting once under contract. I would strongly caution other agencies — especially those with specialized or high-volume workflows — before signing.

Brandfolder is a Soulless Machine

The men on the sales team were very nice and responsive until I signed the contract. Literally 2 days later, over a weekend, my employee who was going to be the administrator for the DAM and related processes was offered a position at a large, high profile design firm. I let them know I needed time to find someone to replace her but the sales team would only give me a one month extension. I have a very small business and investing in this platform is not a trivial decision for me. I only asked to push back the start date and they wouldn't budge. I have never received any services from them. I have no access to the platform and never have. Three months later they have sent me to collections. There are laws against this kind of behavior but they vary by state. I have since had to hire an attorney to fight this. Brandfolder has been a soulless machine that is happy to eat up a small business and spit them out.

Just avoid!

Just avoid!! They tie you into a long contract and refuse to let you out when you want to leave. Why would you use something like this when there are MUCH better file-sharing systems out there?
They ignore emails and do not want to help.
Appalling company.
