Great technical support and reliable communication

I had some technical issues where verification emails were not being delivered, but the support team was very helpful throughout the process. They stayed in touch and provided regular updates while their R&D team worked on the fix.

Now the issue is officially resolved, and the mailing system is working perfectly. I truly appreciate their professional attitude and persistence in ensuring a complete resolution. Their proxy performance is top-notch, and knowing they have a dependable support team makes the service even better. Highly recommended for anyone looking for professional data solutions.

Excellent and patient support for account issues

I recently had an issue with duplicate accounts being created under the same email address, which caused my access to be temporarily disabled due to a Terms of Service violation. I reached out to Bright Data’s compliance and support team, and they handled the situation with great professionalism and patience.

Multiple team members (including Compliance) carefully checked my accounts, explained what was happening, and guided me step by step until the problem was fully resolved. In the end, they made sure that my personal account was disabled and that my company’s organization account remained active and accessible.

What I especially appreciated was:
- Their quick and clear responses
- How they kept following up until the issue was completely solved
- Their friendly and respectful communication throughout the process

Thanks to their help, I can now use my company account without any issues. I feel very confident continuing to use Bright Data, both for the product itself and for the quality of their support.

I highly recommend Bright Data to anyone who needs reliable data collection tools backed by a responsive and professional support team.

Fast, clear, and practical support

Support was quick and very clear.
They explained the limitation with Google Jobs pagination (brd_json=1) in a way that was easy to understand, including why the start parameter doesn’t work for the Jobs widget.
They also suggested practical alternatives (Browser API / Scraper Studio), which helped us decide our next steps.
Professional and helpful throughout.

We were constantly battling CAPTCHAs and IP blocks until we switched to Bright Data. Their Web Unlocker feature completely automated the unblocking process, allowing us to focus on the actual data rather than fixing broken scrapers. It has saved our team countless hours of maintenance and significantly improved our success rates. Highly recommended if you are dealing with tough target sites.

Misleading for Individuals, No Refund, and Essentially Unusable Without a Company

Update to my original review:

I want to provide an update to the review I posted earlier. After sharing my feedback, Bright Data’s support team reached out and put in a genuine, sustained effort to understand my situation and explore possible solutions.

While Bright Data ultimately was not the right fit for my specific use case, that was due to a mismatch in needs rather than a lack of effort on their part. Their platform is clearly built for more advanced or enterprise-style workflows, whereas I was specifically looking for a simple, GUI-based tool to visually monitor website changes.

What absolutely deserves recognition is their customer support. It is world class. Easily 10 out of 10. I have rarely, if ever, interacted with a company whose support team was this responsive, thoughtful, and invested in trying to help. Every company should strive to reach this level of customer care.

Although I ended up using a different service that better matched my needs, I would still recommend Bright Data to others based solely on the quality of their support and professionalism. I would also keep them in mind for future projects where their capabilities are a better fit.

The original review below reflects my initial experience and frustration as an individual user, but it is only fair to acknowledge the exceptional support effort that followed.

Bright Data markets itself as a powerful proxy and scraping platform, but the reality for individual users is frustrating, misleading, and borderline predatory.

I signed up, paid, and only after running into errors did I learn that Bright Data is effectively unusable for private individuals. If you are not a registered company with a company email domain and incorporation documents, you are locked out of full functionality. This is not made clear upfront in any meaningful way.

Key issues:

• Residential and Browser API access is crippled unless you pass KYC
• KYC is only available to registered companies
• Individuals cannot complete KYC under any circumstances
• Robots.txt restrictions block common real world use cases
• Support repeatedly tells you to “contact your account manager” even when you do not have one
• AI support loops you through the same scripted answers
• Human support eventually confirms there is no solution
• Refund request was denied despite the service being unusable for my situation

In plain terms, if you are a normal person doing personal, hobby, or side projects, Bright Data will take your money and then tell you after the fact that you are not eligible to use the product as advertised.

Support was polite but ineffective. I spent days going back and forth only to be told there is no workaround and no refund. That is unacceptable.

Bright Data should clearly and prominently state before checkout that individuals cannot access full residential or browser features and that refunds are not available if you discover this later.

Unless you are a registered business with paperwork ready, avoid this service.
