The sizes run very small

The sizes run very small, so you have to guess right the first time, because the exchange and return policy is outrageous. You only get store credit, and if you exchange a size on an order, you can't return anything else.

Kindly note that we make our Returns & Exchanges Policy clear on our website, and reference it upon checkout before you proceed with your payment. It states that all free returns are refunded via store credit only and that we can only process one exchange per order.

As we already processed an exchange for your order, it is no longer eligible for any further exchanges or returns.

Horrible return policy and small sizes.

Very cute bikinis (I have bought several) but most of them are not TTS, very small in sizes and very little coverage especially for bigger busts. Watch out also for the return policy as they only offer exchanges and you have to email with them which is just not worth the trouble in my opinion. They also hide comments on Instagram which I find suspicious and not transparent. Will most likely not buy again from this company.

Terrible which is such a shame because they have such cute designs

The sizing is all off. I ordered what I would usually order from a different retailer and it would fit perfectly in this case they were way too small. Due to it being a Valentines sale I was informed this counts as a Final sale (even though there is no disclosure that all sales are final sales) which also means I apparently can’t have a refund or an exchange for the items. Which makes even less sense since when I requested the exchange the sale was still on and the items were the same price so it wouldn’t have affected the business.
I’ve completed some further reading and have confirmed that with UK government trading standards I am still entitled for a refund if I request one and that their policy is quite literally illegal. I’ve emailed them this about 3 days ago expecting a prompt response as previously with my return enquiry however I’ve been simply ignored and non of my concerns have been addressed. I’m very concerned that other people may experience the same unfair treatment and not be able to return/exchange their products when they can’t use them. Terrible customer service and policy. Never buying from here again!

Illegal store policy according to EU law

Just a heads-up for anyone buying in the EU—this company doesn't seem to think the law applies to them.

​I tried to return a swimsuit that didn't fit, and they tried to block it by claiming "Final Sale." When I pointed out that EU law (and Danish law) gives me a 14-day right to a refund, they offered me a measly 50% store credit as a "favour."
​Let’s be clear: offering partial credit instead of a full refund is illegal. My hygiene seal is still perfectly intact, so they have zero excuses under Article 16(e).

​They’re essentially trying to trick customers into giving up their basic legal rights.

If they pull this with you, don't settle for their credit- just contact your bank and start a chargeback for a "breach of consumer rights."

I’ve had an amazing experience as for when my products didn’t fit right and i didn’t have the qualifications for a return or exchange they sent me new ones for a very low price. I have never been so pleased with a company as much as i am for this one!

Being that I work in the customer service industry, I really appreciate & recognize a company with good customer service. In this case, I needed to return & exchange some pieces as it was my first time ordering. Alexia was so quick with communication & extremely helpful. Absolutely incredible customer service

Absolutely incredible customer service. I was missing an item in my order but customer support responded within a few hours (super quick).

After trying on all my pieces, I wanted to exchange some items because some were to small or didn't compliment my body type. Customer support informed me that they were in the middle of restructuring their return policy so they let me keep ALL of my items because they wanted to reduce carbon emission.

I spent nearly $300 and they sent me a gift card for my entire order back so I could repurchase other styles that better suited me! Literally have never had customer support as wonderful as this and my impression of the brand has really elevated due to this experience. Thank you so much Bright Swimwear!!!

And also yes the swimsuits are cute, well made, and affordably priced which is what drew me in initially but this experience has made me a long term customer.

Terrible - store credit only- don't purchase here

This company is the absolute worst. I purchased a bikini and 2 sizes for the bottoms in case I needed to size up because i had never used this company before. The bikini was incredibly skimpy (tops and bottoms) even though I sized up and purchased the 'modest' fit. I'm a size 4 and it barely covers anything. I asked for a refund and they only issue store credit despite 1) There is no notification at sale that any purchase is store credit only 2) they have a very limited product selection which does not justify a store credit only situation. I explained my situation to the customer service person and they enforced a store credit only even though they did not offer a bikini with more coverage and my merchandise is in perfect condition with tags on.

Extremely misleading return policy, which feels like a scam

Extremely misleading return policy, feels like a scam.

I purchased from Bright Swimwear assuming, like with most legitimate online brands, that I would be able to request a refund if the item didn’t work out. Only after receiving my order did I discover that they do not offer refunds at all, only exchanges or store credit.

While this may technically be mentioned somewhere in their return policy, it is not clearly disclosed during the checkout or purchasing flow, which is where this information actually matters to consumers. Had this been made explicit before payment, I would not have placed the order.

In my experience, this lack of transparency is misleading and feels intentionally designed to trap customers into store credit. Customer support was unhelpful and dismissive when I raised the issue.

I strongly advise anyone considering this brand to read the return policy very carefully before purchasing, or avoid altogether if you expect fair, standard consumer practices.
