Absolutely brilliant company! From my first contact with Gareth who was so helpful in organising everything, to the team of two young gentlemen who carried out the work bird proofing my solar panels. Excellent, responsive service from start to finish. They were very open about timings and their communication was always very clear. The fitters were competent and professional. Mesh is just fitted so we look forward to pigeon free mornings soon.

First had wire mesh installed in 2020 to prevent pigeons nesting under solar panels. No more early-morning noises until spring 2022 when we noticed a small gap had appeared in the mesh and bird noises were again apparent.
Upon leaving a message with British Bird Control, they replied the next day and advised that they'd organise a team to come out and resolve the issue. A couple of weeks later they'd fixed the mesh, advised what the problem was and also sorted a problem with the guttering while up on their ladders. Great service and reassuring to know that the 10 year guarantee works exactly as advertised. Thanks!

very pleased with the professional job done by Michael and Matt. very hard working and pleasant guys, a credit to their company. one or two pigeons still trying to get under the solar panels, without success. Annoying problem sorted. Would highly recommend to anyone who has the misfortune to have pigeons nesting under their solar panels.

Could not fault the service. The team turned up on time, checked out the site and problem and got straight on the job. When they finished they cleaned up after themselves and left.
But for the fact that the pigeons were conspicuous by their absence you wouldn't know that the team had been in attendance.

Luckily I managed to find British Bird Control on the web, they are very busy so had to wait a while but my goodness it was worth it. I was a little concerned about having to pay 25% up front but need not to have been. I paid with my credit card and immediately the office sent me a confirmation. I supplied the necessary photos of our house and our daughter's.The office staff were very helpful and responded quickly and efficiently to my questions about everything and anything. We needed scaffolding because of the height of our house but our daughter didn't. We organised this seperately with a local company who erected it two days ago. Two very pleasant and friendly guys arrived this morning and quickly got on with the job, no messing about. We had three nests under our panels, two were un-occupied but the other had three chicks which were taken away. Debris was removed, the panels were hosed down, gutters cleared, job done!! So efficient Cable ties were used to fix sturdy galvanised metal mesh around the PV panels. We are so glad nothing was drilled into our panels. We will be getting a ten year guarantee tomorrow when we have paid the balance and we will not need to be cleaning windows and washing down our garden furniture and patio every day. Solar panel grids required to stop pigeons from nesting. The team who did this were very professional, approachable and knowledgable. Very tidy workers and no mess was left upon completion. Would highly recommend using this company.

After months of annoyance and frustration with pigeons nesting under my solar panels, Barney and John from British Bird Control arrived yesterday and sorted them out by clearing away all the mess and fitting strong metal mesh to the gap between the tiles and panels. Very efficient, no sign of the pests today, such a relief. The service provided was very impressive, from my first enquiry to the installation. Guaranteed for 10 years too. Thank you!

Great communication and service. We had a problem with pigeons nesting under our solar panels causing noise and mess around the house. Having contacted the team we promptly received a reply that was detailed yet clear to a non expert. We sent some pictures and received a quote. After booking and paying a deposit we received a fitting date. The team turned up on time, we're helpful, friendly and polite. They worked quickly, efficiently and cleanly making sure everything was left immaculate with no trace of them being here. The difference is remarkable, almost immediately the droppings around the house stopped and within 2 days the pigeons stopped visiting the roof and the noise has gone. The meshwork around the panels is not intrusive, in fact I think it helps to visually tie in the panels to the roof.
I would recommend the team at British Bird Control without hesitation (in fact I already have). I have no connection with this company apart from being a happy customer.

I am very happy to recommend this company. From start to finish I was dealt with in an efficient and courteous manner from all I came into contact with. The quote was based on satellite images and was adhered to. There was a few weeks wait, but options were given the week beforehand for a time convenient for me. The fitting team (Callum and Dan) were polite, explained clearly what they were going to do and did a first-class job. The mesh is robust and backed by a 10 year warranty. They tidied up afterwards and left the property in a clean state. Overall really pleased.

I have been blown away by just how good British Bird Control have been. We found them online & asked them to quote to pigeon-proof our solar panels. We rapidly received a very detailed response which gave us great confidence in both them as a Company & their high quality approach. When we then instructed them the whole process was the ultimate in professionalism & efficiency. They gave us an expected week for installation & said they would confirm 2 weeks before. Exactly 2 weeks before they confirmed which day & time that week they would be on site. They then arrived bang on time, 2 of the nicest, most professional engineers that you could wish for. They completed a superb job, kept us informed at all times & cleared up so well that our drive was tidier than before they arrived! Everything was done to the highest standards & exactly as they had promised. And all for a price that we felt was tremendous value for money. We had been expecting the quote to be double & we’re then suspicious that it was so inexpensive. But we need not have worried. In short we have never been more impressed by any company…

British Bird Control (or BBC as I like to call them) are simply the BEST company to use when dealing with Solar Panel Installations with PIGEON problems. Let me explain why:

I had 24 solar panels installed on my 'L' shaped detached house, last August (over 3 roofs, East, West and South).

The 'bird proofing' used by the solar panel installer simply wasn't working; some of the strips of plastic 'fingers' kept falling off the solar panel edges, so pigeons could get underneath the panel arrays whenever they felt like it.

Plagued by pigeons over all 3 roofs, I eventually found British Bird Control's website and contacted Dave Campbell (my regional controller), who was absolutely fantastic - he knows what he's talking about, has excellent trained staff and products that actually WORK!

Their steel cage around each of the panel groups is now completely impossible for the pigeons to get into. The job was neatly done: Mason and Shane did my installation, they were polite, accommodating and tidy. The cost was very reasonable and worth every penny.

Because the pigeons had enjoyed 6 months of easy access to my solar panels, they became habituated to using my roof as a cosy place of shelter (we appear to have loads of pigeons on my housing estate).

Although most had given up, there were still a number of pigeons 'stupid' enough to keep trying to get inside the cages; they also took to sitting on the top edge of the panel arrays, turning around and making a mess on them!

So, I got Dave's chaps back in to install spikes on top of each panel group - so now they can't sit on them and foul the panels. Again, a neat and reasonably priced solution.

Was that the end of the story? No, because a number of them still congregated near the East chimney stack at dusk - for shelter at night - then made a nuisance clattering around the roof in the morning before flying away. And then they'd come back again in the day (like a bunch of hooligans). Honestly!

That made me think I'd need to get Dave to give me another quote for pigeon netting on both the East/West roofs, with added spikes on the chimney.

**Update** But since writing this review last week, it now appears nearly all the pigeons have stopped congregating, except for a few who still wander along the top apex of the roof. So maybe I won't need pigeon netting after all. Clearly, more patience was needed on my part.

So, in summary, if you have a solar panel pigeon problem, you really need to contact Dave and his team - I am sure that they will sort you out. I couldn't recommend anyone more highly.

We would highly recommend this company, work all quoted for with no hidden extras. A complete description of the work to be done was given with the quote. Slight delay due to employees with Covid and the stormy weather, but carried out when they said very efficiently and competently by two very nice employees who explained everything they would be doing and fully carried it out. Cleaned out all the bird poo in the gutters as well and gave the solar panels a cleaning. Prompt balance payment taken when the work was completed and 10 year guarantee received. We are very satisfied customers!

After looking at several quality companies with the proper accreditations to their name and customer reviews to back that up, I decided to employ the services of British Bird Control.
I sent off for a quote and had a 5 paragraph email from Garath Purnell explaining the entire process and what work the team who would attended on the day would be doing.
After a lengthy wait due to a high volume of work and having to wait for more work to be gathered in my area, which from a business since makes total sense.
Following images of our panels and the front elevation so as the team could work out a quote from the day came when the two operatives attended and within a hour or so had removed most of the nests and the pigeon mess from off of the tiles, using our garden hose plus theirs.
The solar panel "fence" that is secured to the panels without any screws looks great.

The team were polite, efficient and punctual.
I had to leave during the work and was impressed that everything was neat and tidy upon my return, plus my side gate had been locked as requested.
