A real safety and functionality nightmare. Bad trailer, heavily damaged & not even weather-tight. Jagged metal, broken track protruding at eye level. 250 lb scissor ramp that collapses without notice, non-functional lift bars and absolutely filthy inside. Nice lady with customer service handed me over to manager who held the company line: no discount for your troubles, we'll just bring out another trailer 4 hours later while everybody waits. Claimed their carrier Estes performs full safety checks which is obviously untrue. Saved them from million $ lawsuit and tried to be real nice about it but they really could care less. Still waiting on replacement trailer....

A+++++++ Professional, personable, knowledgeable, and helpful. Very pleasant and detailed in explaining options. Went above and beyond, and did not rush the process. Thank you for alleviating the stress in this process. Highly Recommend.

I put in my information for a free estimate, and they took that and gave my phone number to EVERY company in the Florida area. I keep getting phone calls every 10 min (and it's only been 3hrs since I put the info in). And since they were from multiple different companies I had to tell multiple different companies to stop calling me. Never give this site your info.

Shout out to Gus! I've had a storage unit in another state for about 14 years. When I decided to clear it out, I contacted several movers. Gus made it simple and cost effective, utilizing my discounts. Thank you Gus - you made this possible!

I cannot stress enough how ugly my experience was doing business with this company. From day of pick-up to delivery (which I am still waiting for as I write this review). First off, they are very dishonest in the beginning when disclosing the initial cost of the move. Fees are added on sporadically and the client is left with no way out. They absolve themselves completely of ALL liability and then impose all kinds of fees on the clients. Simply ridiculous.

I will not waste words to describe my actual experience on here but I pray to God there is a pro-bono lawyer out there who can take this company on. I have a plethora of evidence if needed. I wish 'cancel' culture will work its magic on this company and make them dissappear for good.

Please save yourselves the trouble and find another alternative. I am sure EVERY OTHER company is better than Budget Van Lines. They pry on the desperation of the client and operate on very unethical terms.

Gustavo was incredibly helpful; he was very patient with me while I listed everything i needed moved, and he was extremely knowledgeable on the rates and offers available. He made persuasive arguments and provided compelling reasons to use Budget Van Lines as my moving company. I am very satisfied with the level of service Gustavo provided.

Deadlines were met, but I was frustrated that it took nearly 2 weeks to receive concrete information as to approximate delivery date. The driver, an engaging fellow - Isaac - was worth the wait: he was patient, careful, courteous, knowledgeable and efficient. In less than an hour, ALL my household goods were safely in place. I was incredibly impressed AND happy. I would recommend OCEAN Moving & Storage HIGHLY just based on Isaac's performance.

I went to get a quote from BVL and they said someone from PVL (perennial) should quote me then transferred me to them. I ended up moving with the second company and everything went as they said, no price raise, and cheaper than uhaul from ca to ny... so I'd say these guys know what they're doing.

Pros:
1. On time and schedule
2. All the steps of th move as per planned , no surprises.
3. Well mannered staff, they cover all aspects, reminds us of anything that we may have missed
4. Very close to estimate.
Cons:
1. Close to estimate but not accurate, so plan for extra funds depending on your moving load size.

Gustavo Hernandez has been great to work with. He is quick to respond to questions and concerns, and he is easy to get along with....great communication, he represents your company well!

If you ever need a moving company, choose Budget Van Lines. If for nothing else than for the customer service. I originally received a quote and when doing the follow up later, there was a miscommunication from the original quote. I called my rep Gustavo and was prepared to cancel my move with them. Gustavo (Gus) was amazing! He let me go on a tirade and then calmly went over my concerns and explained everything. He made me feel heard and understood which calmed me down. I have dubbed him "the client whisperer". Everything worked out satisfactorily and I was impressed with how Gus handled the call and my issues so I continued my move with them. To the powers that be at Budget please know you have an exceptional employee in Gus. To anyone looking for a good moving company, look no further.

Are you all ready for this? STAY FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is the best advice I can give. Not only did they break the "contract" they had and made me sign multiple of times, they ruined more than have my belongings beyond repair and when called on it, laughed at me. When I signed up on this i was told my items would be delivered on 2/25. They called me on 2/24 at 630 pm and said they now needed an approval to drop off at my apartment. Let me ask anyone, what the heck am I supposed to do at 630 at night. The apartment complex is closed and now you are telling me that I cant get my items? They tell me if I want to do a live drop off it will be an additional $150 (which is where the truck driver waits for 1 hour while you unload) Well, what am I supposed to do? So Now on 2/26. I am given a window from 2-6, after multiple of calls I am told 530 my truck will show up. Also, for whatever reason they keep calling my mothers house in another state to give updates on if they will show or not. They have MY PERSONAL number, yet they keep calling another state while we are waiting. Well, its POURING cats and dogs. I realize mother nature isn't their fault. Well, 6pm rolls around, no truck and no one will call me or get back to me. I finally get ahold of someone, I explain, I'm upset, the man on the other end is just laughing. No regards to anything. Tells me my truck may not even show. Finally, he says well, probably truck will show about 645pm. Agent is still laughing and does not care whatsoever. Its now dark out, raining. Truck driver is here at 645. Tells me he was about an hour away when they said be there at 6. LIKE WOW. Ok, so I start to unload driver tells me his shift is done in 30 mins and i better hurry. WHAT? WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO THE HOUR I PAID FOR? So, my 75 year old mother, myself and 2 movers have never moved so far in the dark and rain. I get my items. THEY CLEARLY took my items off the truck put them back how they wanted. When loading the original day items were placed differently and strategically. They also took an additional foot (which after 6ft of space you pay another $150) which we did not on day of move. My couch, bed and Stairmaster are FILLED WITH SAND AND WATER. SAND? I need to know where sand came. Now, I know a storm came through. From what i was told this was not going to be touched, moved, no one would be in it, and rain or anything else would not be in it. After estimation my damages are well over $10000. No one has called me back, no one will respond to my emails and the one person I was able to speak to, laughed (again) and hung up on me. I am begging everyone, STAY FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR AWAY. PLEASE.

This travesty of a company (if you can call it that) is the most unscrupulous, unethical company I have dealt with. Everything about their business model is designed to screw the customer. They have no intention of acting in good faith, or doing right by the customer in any way.

We booked a move which was quoted just over $3k from CA to TX. We paid a $1300 deposit by check (of course they don't take credit card, because you have recourse with credit cards). This was the first red flag but I wasn't sure about my other options for moving, so I went with it.

On the day of the move, they showed up and said "I had more stuff than they expected" - this is absurd and one of their tactics. The quote might have been artificially low (I was forthright about how much stuff we had, and the size of our storage unit). The sales people routinely undersell in order to make their quote look more attractive. The new price was going to be $7900. Now they say the deposit is non refundable and of course everything is designed so you have no recourse. Calling them just results in them going into full legalese defense mode, with no attempt at a fair resolution.

This is the closest thing to a legal scam I've ever encountered in my life. I am sure the reckoning will come for this evil company, whether it is a class action lawsuit, or someone with the time on their hands to take them down. Until then, I beg and plead with you, potential future customer, to look elsewhere for your move.

Stay away unless you want 50 - 100 phone calls plus emails. When you call to stop the calls they cannot find any of your information. I ended up blocking all the area codes I was receiving calls from, approximately 20 different area codes. I would have given them 0 stars if I could have

What a nightmare. I booked my reservation to go from NYC to DC area 2 weeks ago. Paid my deposit. Find out the day before they are supposed to come and pick up all of my stuff that the truck that was going to take my belongings "broke down" and they had to try to find a last minute carrier. Turns out that they found this out literally around the time that I had called for a status update on when the truck was supposed to come to my house to pick up my things. Coincidence? I don't think so. THEY FOR SURE FORGOT TO SCHEDULE ME, but had no problem taking my money. DO NOT USE THEM. so unprofessional. LAST MINUTE i had to figure out what I was going to do.

JUST RENT A UHAUL and hire someone on task rabbit to help you pack your things. you will save so much more money than any of these moving companies and you don't have to worry about anyone taking your belongings. Budget Van lines is the WORST. DO NOT USE THEM. the customer service rep Donald was really helpful in terms of helping me get my full refund, but still- this company is garbage. NEVER USE THEM. You will lose money, increase your blood pressure and watch your hair fall out from stress due to their incompetence.

They add a ton of fees and are very very dishonest with the prices and services. In the end I paid more than I would have to just rent a moving truck, or to have used a different company.

I am not happy with this moving company, since they send to pick up the property with another company, and in my particular case, a 55 "4K plasma TV with a value of $ 1,800.00 was lost and I have more than a month waiting, my TV or a refund of my money, and they have me relax, sending me from one comania to another. Many of the boxes arrived broken and caused damage to the items ...... DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY (Budget Van Lines)
