I purchased an Oxford TV unit from this company last month. I emailed the team at BuildOurBed as I wanted a custom size and colour. The team were very helpful and I communicated via email and phone. The TV unit has far exceeded my expectations in terms of quality and appearance. The staff who delivered the unit were also very friendly and made adjustments to level a door.

I have to admit that I was slightly sceptical as I know this is a relatively new company with limited reviews, but they excelled in all areas. Our family and friends have also commented on how much they like the unit.

Overall the product represents excellent value for money.

Finding exactly what you want is hard these days and having someone who can semi-bespoke make furniture is a real blessing. Then add on the facts that its made in the Uk, and that they turned it around in 3-4 weeks from order was great. This a small but fast growing company who were really great to deal with. You can tell it matters to them. We ordered an Oxford Large Media Unit / Sideboard and made the shelf heights different, chose our colour etc. The people that delivered it were from the company and really cared too. Really great and very happy with them.

On the 21st of July I ordered a Gibson TV Unit/Sideboard to be assembled in a room of my choice, according with your services. So, I paid extra for White Glove delivery (Item assembled in a room of your choice) as I'm in a wheelchair and needed someone to build the Unit for me.

On the 8th of September 2023, the unit I ordered arrived fully assembled and would not fit in the room of my choice. In the process of trying to fit it into the room, you have damaged the paintwork and the unit because the delivery team decided to take off the unit base. As a result of these issues, I returned the unit and the delivery team leave behind the screws to hold the base.

After a phone call to your office within an hour, the text “Item assembled in a room of your choice” on your website in the Delivery section had been changed to “Item assembled (where applicable) or placed in a room of your choice”. I have emailed and called you multiple times since with no response. I sent a formal letter by email and post with no response, I have also sent private messages through your social media to avoid embarrassment for your company.

There has been zero communication from your company and at this moment you still have my money and the unit, and I just have a few screws for £757.

Is this how you treat other customers or is this something you think you can get away with to vulnerable customers?

I am reiterating my legal request for a full refund. Failure to do so within 7 working days will result in passing these details to trading standards and National media.

I look forward to hearing from you to avoid legal action for recovery.

I wanted to update the situation. I haven't been contacted by this company. They just sent a partial refund of £378.50 not even close to £757 I paid them This also is ignoring the damage they caused.

Their beds frame structure do not support good mattresses like Simba. The number of slats provided were 6 which left a huge gap between the slats. Any good matteress like Simba (simbasleep.com/) require the slats to be at a maximum distance of 7cm. When I called to enquire if there were missing slats as the number of slats were less than what good mattress will support, I was told this is what the calculation is. I had to order 3 extra slats from their website, which means waiting and unable to use the bed till the slats get delivered. They could increase the price (by 3 slats prices and deliver the required number of slats) or ask their customers about the mattress they are going to use to improve their customers experience.

Just had my bed room furniture delivered. Had a headboard added to a bed, had 2 standard bedside tables and a bespoke chest of drawers to match the bedside tables all in walnut.

Could not be happier with the service, support and most importantly the standard of the workmanship of my furniture.

I paid for the white glove service, and Ben and Frank turned up on time, put down floor covering and took their shoes off. They took great care to bring the furniture into my home.

A***……we wish all companies were this straightforward to work with. We ordered 3 pieces of furniture, 2 of which were bespoke sizes. Communication was easy and the 2 bespoke tv units were delivered exactly our requirements and of excellent quality. They deliver the furniture themselves which adds to the personal touch. We are very pleased with our new Buildourbed furniture and will be recommending them to our friends and family.

Fantastic service from start to finish! I ordered a four poster bed in a F&b finish! Outstanding quality so happy! The bed did take a little longer than thought, but well worth the wait! What a great find this company was.

Ordered a new bed over 2 weeks ago from this company and have heard absolutely nothing since. Have called several times and left numerous voicemails (nobody ever answers despite being in a queue every time I call), and we've sent emails to see what is happening with our order. Now the phone goes direct to voicemail. Fair enough if they're busy but some notifications on what is happening would be appreciated considering the amount of money we've paid. Getting very concerned that we've been scammed!

UPDATE: Bed has been delivered, is excellent quality and very easy to put together. Shame about the delay and lack of updates but very happy with our order.
