Bumper.com was recommended by the DMV for title reports. They offer reports for $1 without stating that you are signing up for an expensive subscription. Cancellation is impossible on the website and there is no customer service, live operators or even online chat available to help you cancel.

I had a disappointing experience with Bumper.com. They lure users with a seemingly innocent $1 trial, promising access to vehicle history reports. What they don't clearly disclose is that after the trial period, they automatically charge a hefty $22 per month — even for the basic plan.
The worst part? Cancelling the subscription is deliberately difficult. The process is obscured, with no straightforward option to manage your subscription easily through their website. Many users end up trapped in this billing cycle without realizing it until their bank statement reveals the charges.

This company sucks!!! I use the $1 dollar promotion and the reports are incomplete not even 20% of info is there, after that they charge me $38.99 twice and I never signed for that, I tried to get in contact with them, but they don’t respond the emails and they have no option to talk to a real human. This company sucks. They will take your money and run!!!!

They have been charging me a monthly $21 subscription after I used their services once, nearly two years ago.
Of course, I had no idea about it. How could I, when they did not email me a single monthly bill?
Their behavior is not different from that of a parasite. They drain the host (your bank account) without making themselves noticeable.

I tried to run a report on an RV I'm selling, just looking for specs. The site acted like it was creating a report, complete with a vehicle moving across a line like it was loading all this info. Then I paid for a trial membership, and opened the report and there was literally nothing in it. Every category said "0" except "clean title." How can the system not know that there's nothing to include in a report? I canceled my membership and hope this wasn't a scam to get my card info. :(

Scam company through and through
Scam company through and through. I authorized a single transaction over a year ago and they ignored my requests to cancel. I finally used Rocket Money to get these crooks to stop pulling money every month.

Signed up for the $5.00 deal. Log into the site on my computer no problem. Went to sign in with my phone was not able to get on line. Asked for help on line and was told I had been banned. When I asked why the only response I got was contact via e mail customer support.
Contacted them via e mail and was told I was banned. When I asked why they said refer to the terms and conditions. That is no help as I have no idea what term or conditions I may have caused a problem with. Asked them again in an e mail and again was told the refer to the terms and conditions. If are not told what the problem is how does a person correct it. I did tell them I was running a vpn and asked if that was the problem. No response.
Only asking them what the problem is and they can't or won't tell me. Would like to hear a response as to what the problem is.

I paid the $1.00, I plan to cancel before the 7 days are up.
I looked at several vehicles and was not impressed with the information provided.
So I looked at my own vehicles. My 2009 toyota Sienna has been banged up countless times, reported to insurance and repaired in legitimate body shops, including Caliber Collision at least twice. Damage done by Costco in their tire shop. fender benders and carport post scrapping by drivers in my family. Rear ended at stop lights. Honestly so many times that I have lost track. the van looks great because it has always been repaired by whoever's insurance was responsible. Bumper.com said that "no accidents reported ". I know otherwise, so how could I trust them for a vehicle that I don't know.
Buying a vehicle that they say has no accidents reported is a very risky decision.

Lately, I noticed they have a ONE time $ amount for a Report, so I sent them that Money, they were back right away STATING we have a report for you.
Now this is were they start to Blow Smoke up your ass, with a Genetic email.
Got back & said, you can't ask for the same Vehicle report, you have to wait several months. YOU NEVER GAVE ME ONE BEFORE "REMEMBER".
I asked for a Report or Monies back. they refunded me (so they say) & cancelled my Membership.
SO I THINK THEY NEVER HAD A REPORT "EVER"
Contacted BBB US, they say my money has been refunded-----NOT AS OF TODAY, my Bank see's no such Transaction, it's been since November 30th.
SO WHO EVER READS THIS, YOU CAN MAKE UP YOUR OWN MIND.

How many times do I need to cancel?
I cancelled bumper.com well over a year ago, and that was after they had billed me for 6 months for a service I never signed up for, nor eveow many times do i need to cancelr used, and now they have mysteriously popped up on my bank statement again. Their entire operation is a total scam.

Band of thieves
This is a group of thieves. The plan was once in November 2023 not used again in the next 12 months. They prey on the forgotten subscription and continue to bill for worthless deliverables. They can definitely stick that $300 up their arse. May them and their families get sick over the holidays and not recover.
