I bought one month on-line

I bought one month on-line. BPCBumper.com kept billing me $27.99 per month for 8 more months. I did not notice the erroneous charges until I was working on taxes. I called my credit card company. They were able to get me credit for the last 120 days from BPCBumper.com. I requested more from BPCBumper but they failed to answer me or refund my money. Buyer beware do not do business with BPCBUMPER.COM they are a ripoff. I bought one month. I did not sign up for a 7-day trial. I never even had an account on bumper. No receipt for purchase and no account.

The vehicle I wanted the history on

The vehicle I wanted the history on; no history was provided I ended up going to the local DMV. Have tried cancelling my account on multiple occasions and still get charged via PayPal so now I’m having to go thru legal channels. This is the worst company out there. Total rip off

Additionally, our data includes vehicles after 1981 when the standard 17-digit VIN was created. Automobiles, motorcycles, trucks and buses may contain vehicle history records. Unfortunately, we don't have history reports for RVs, motorhomes and tractors.

If you are unable to locate a particular vehicle in our database, please know that we continuously strive to update and expand our databases in order to provide you with the most current and accurate information we possibly can.

I would give them 5 negative stars if I could!

Well come to find out that they’ve been billed my account monthly for over 2 years at $24.99 per month. I would highly recommend no one even ever use them. They’re as shady as you can get. They have the monthly subscription buried in their terms of agreement. Do not use them. Use Carfax.

The web service never indicated that my membership was approved. I also never received a single car report.
They still charged me $27.99 and now I know to watch out for recurring charges.
Basically, it’s a fraudulent site.

Cancelation is near impossible. Its taken two years for me to get a formal cancelation. You must ask for a formal cancelation or your not going to get one.

Such a predatory business

Such a predatory business. No emails to confirm receipt of payment or to notify of upcoming payments. No emails period except during signup. As a result, I thought I had cancelled but instead was billed for 3 months before I caught it. They were nice enough to remove two of the three charges, but I'm still upset about the original charge. Ergo this complaint.
There are not enough words to express my frustrating and disgust at their advertising and billing practices. I understand that I should have been more attentive and confirmed that I had cancelled, but I never heard from them again either so I thought we were done... until two months later.

No receipts or any other communication to indicate an ongoing subscription from bumper.com = predatory business.

SCAM

SCAM! Read the reviews! I was one of the unfortunate people who failed to read their reviews and I fell victim to their scam.

They have a 'free trial' (I'll NEVER look at those words the same), that I fell for. I subscribed and wanted to check one vehicle, which their useless system couldn't pick up. I obviously tried to cancel the free trial, but this was near impossible, they make it extremely complicated. To a point where you give up. Before requesting a refund, they were very prompt with their responses (litterly minutes). But as soon as you tell them you'd like a refund, they don't respond to you (it's been a week without response, I've sent emails daily asking for an update). They are scam artists, they should be reported and taken down.

Rip off

I bought the one time trial for a car for a dollar and I found out they have been charging me monthly for the last 5 months and won’t reimburse me for the 5 months. These people are ripoff artists. I canceled after the one time charge of a dollar. It’s total bullshit.

What a scam of a company

What a scam of a company. Not even a single useful detail about the car I searched while it assured to have given the mandatory info. When the time came to charge 27.99 they charged and obviously I asked for a refund and the customer support immediately cancelled my account when I didn't tell them to. After they cancelled it I again asked for the details about my refund in which they replied " The account that corresponds with the information provided does not currently have an active subscription and was previously canceled. You may have requested to cancel it previously, or your subscription may have been stopped". SCAM!

Scam bait and switch company

Scam company, there was no mention of a reoccurring subscription on the site, I paid for one vin search, it was a joke, not accurate or correct and then a couple days later I got hit for $27.99. Hopefully this helps someone else. They are a bait and switch scam company!
