Bury Swim School Reviews 

Before trying bury swim school, my little boy had tried lessons at 3 other establishments, and each time he would cry and refuse to go back in the pool after a few lessons. I contacted bury swim school after mentioning the issues we were having to someone in passing. They recommended BSS and I am so glad they did. I made contact with them, explained the situation and they set us up with the group and pool they felt was most suited to the needs of my child. Initially this was a smaller shallow pool with an instructor in the water with him at all times. As his confidence grew and his fear of being in the pool subsided his skills developed. Only once he was capable and confident in his own ability did they move him to a larger pool. Once again the move to the larger pool came with a discussion with myself about the best way to progress my child, the best teacher and best class for his needs. Needless to say we have gone from a child that feared the water to one who has been swimming in the lake at delamere today, jumping into the water from height from the inflatables and enjoying the pool and water slides on holiday. We couldn’t be prouder of our son, or the BSS team who got us all to this point! Thank you

Been swimming with Bury Swim school since it started - Both my children have enjoyed lessons and made excellent progress. Communication from Denise has been second to none - Have recommended the swim school to many others and hear from others about what great teaching Denise and her team have done for many years for the children of Bury and further afield. A life skill for all by a truly magnificent teacher. Would hope she continues for many years to come at Bury Grammar pool - reputation goes along way.

My daughter has been swimming with bury swim school for 5 years. She has always enjoyed her lessons, it’s been amazing to see her confidence grow. Denise and Jake have done a great job and are very experienced, and this really does show, as my daughter has developed great swim techniques. The swim school is professionally ran with great communication. My son who has additional needs has recently started his swimming journey with Bury swim school and they have been very understanding of his needs and his confidence is growing every session. I would highly recommend Bury swim school to anybody, they cater for all abilities.

Mrs Ramsden is a fabulous swimming teacher. I have recommended her time and time again. Both my children love their lessons with her. She seems to understand each individual child and what it is they need from her to succeed in their swimming lessons. My young son was struggling with swimming confidence and she suggested a plan to encourage and develop him and it is working wonders. He now looks forward to his lesson each week. I cannot recommend Bury Swim School enough, I wouldn’t have my children go to anyone else for their lessons now we have experience, what I consider to be, the best swim school

Both of our girls have been attending Bury Swim School from as young as months old! Their swimming skills, confidence and no fear of water is all thanks to the amazing teaching from Denise and Jake. Both girls have always felt safe and secure in the water which also makes for happy, relaxed parents! We are really grateful for the patience and support our children have been given over the years. They’ve achieved so much from their lessons with the focus being on their swimming strokes and swimming ability instead of trying to rush through badges for the sake of it! We have never hesitated to recommend this swim school to others as it’s the best decision we made. If you’re looking for knowledgeable, caring swimming instructors who encourage children to swim to the best of their ability - choose Bury Swim School, you won’t be disappointed.

My son has been attending swimming lessons at Bury swim school for the last 3 years. The progress that he has made during that time has been exceptional. The support that he has received from Ms Ramsden and the team has been second to none. I am constantly recommending the swim school to friends and family. Its with great thanks to the swim school that my son is confident in the water which gives me great peace of mind.

I cannot fault Bury Swim School! Both my children have learnt to swim through them and now have so much confidence in swimming and water safety. Highly recommend to anyone looking for fairly priced swimming lessons for their child/ren.

All three of my children learnt to swim with Bury Swim School, starting when they were 3/4 and all still attend lessons currently.

My children have developed their swimming through the well planned and well taught lessons. Miss Ramsden is encouraging and all my children have responded well to her teaching. She takes time for each child during the lessons giving positive and constructive feedback. She is very understanding of my eldest who was diagnosed with ASD and dyspraxia over the time he has been attending lessons and he commented that 'Miss Ramsden gets me'.
We would definitely recommend Bury swim school.

I can’t recommend Bury swim school enough. My daughter has come on leaps and bounds since starting classes with Miss Ramsden. She is so encouraging and the class sizes are small so the children get the support they need.

Both my sons have been taught by Denise since they were small babies. 8 years later and my eldest is still taught by her now as is my youngest. She has supported them both through their 'water wobbles' and both are now confident swimmers. A very friendly swim school and I have recommended them to many.
