I had a horrible experience with buybuycar. I bought a van that had clearly been in a crash, but they didn’t disclose any of the damage. The repairs were shoddy at best, and it’s clear they didn’t care about the quality of the vehicle.

To make matters worse, I only got one key, and it only worked in the ignition. Within two weeks of owning the van, the battery died, and I found myself locked out 50 miles from home. I had to pay £120 just to get someone to let me in.

On top of that, the engine is running rough and clearly needs attention. I reached out to the dealership about all these issues, but they’ve made no effort to fix anything or even offer help.

I strongly advise against buying from this dealership. They sold me a van with major problems and have been completely unresponsive. Avoid them if you don’t want to deal with the stress and extra costs.

Not impressed! They have put my review on their website JuD- but I did that the day I bought it at the request of Josh- and did it basically as a favour to him/to help their business. My kindness was not repayed- The day after the car conked. I thought they were being nice by keeping the car running/warm for me while I sorted payment, but the battery died/I broke down the next day (oh! that was the reason!). In fairness they did get me a new battery. Then, driving home after the purchase, nearly I ran out of petrol- not a scrap in it (the car I left was half full), I was literally down to 3 miles and only just made it to a garage. Prior to arriving at showroom, they had agreed that they'd give me scrap value £250 for my car, but when I got it there (as a girl on my own- and they knew I was stuck there/middle of no where) they changed their mind and told me they'd give me nothing whatsoever! I just believed them (being trusting person) but when I got home I got a quote off scrap man- he told me that any car no matter what condition would get at least the £250 as scrap. Then over next few months, the car felt like it wasn't right, making funny noises over bumps etc and low oil pressure lights coming on, so I emailed whilst it was still under warranty asking them to look at it- they ignored me. Emailed again- Ignored me. I have just put it in for MOT 10 months later and they say I'm lucky to be alive as all the parts that hold wheels on (front and back) need replacing, so after buying a car less than a year ago just had a £500 quid bill. The fact they can't even be bothered to answer paying customers stinks. It is terrible that trusting people are overcharged, you failed to disclose issues, then ignored them when they tried to contact you. Disappointing and warn others- go elsewhere!

Sold us an absolute piece of crap car, constant issues for the 4 months we had it! Spend countless money trying to fix the issues, ONTOP of the £4k it took to buy the car in the first place! Absolute shambles. Legal action pending.

absolute nightmare of a company
was paid for a car on 29th January by my finance company was told car could take 5/7 days in the prep center called up Friday 2nd February and was told car would be ready for collection on Tuesday 6th Feb and to call back to Monday to arrange a time I called up Monday morning 9am to Ryan saying he would call me back he didn't I tried to call him at 4.45 no answer the Tuesday morning I received a test apologised and agreed to deliver the car on Wednesday however the car failed it mot (no record of vosa website) was promised to be delivered on the Thursday afternoon 6.30 in the evening no communication from them so text them to get a another excuse so requested they refund my finance company they told me they would contact them on the Friday 9th February
we are now on 19th February and they have sill NOT refunded my finance company so I am left currently paying for a car I do not have
so please please please be very very weary of this company
has cost me money for cancelling my new insurance policy for the car I was told I could collect the Tuesday
I sold my car on the Monday due to been told I could collect my car the Tuesday
so now got no car loss of insurance deposit and owe for car I don't have and there dragging there heels

2 top guys came to buy my car,price agreed prior,you always expect the normal ,well mate I'm gonna have to knock money off for this & that ,but none of this ,they checked the car over ,very pleasant guys,money transferred,no hassle ,no fuss ,an absolute pleasure to deal with,can't actually recommend this service enough,a truly easy , accurate, pleasant transaction
