I ordered a door shelf for my fridge

I ordered a door shelf for my fridge. Cost €57 and €17 customs charges. It was the wrong shelf. Returned item costing another €10.
I received an email from this company in response to my complaints that the company is in receivership and there aren't enough funds to cover my refund, but they will give me a goodwill voucher instead.

Not an Irish site. Hidden import fees

Ordered an in stock washing machine pump. Obviously needed quick so having presented itself as an Irish website I placed my ordered. Ten days later nothing arrived, emailed support and told its not thier problem and mail again in 21 days. Royal mail are slow, I questioned this as the website is .ie and why would parts be coming from the UK.
I got a letter from an post to pay import duty on the item. No where on the order page does it suggest parts come from outside the UK and they make no attempt to take import fees on the site.
3 weeks without the part and hidden costs with no help from support. I'll never buy from them again

The most corrupt company I have ever…

The most corrupt company I have ever dealt with. It is not an Irish company, all goods are despatched from the UK which is non EU and customers in Ireland are hit for Customs charges, if you refuse to pay these charges and an Post send the parcel back to them they claim they haven't received it. Am emailing since December looking for my money back on part returned. Don't touch them. 87% of reviewers cannot be wrong

A pack of thieves

I have a washing machine part ordered since the 26th of December, an automated response at every email I have sent, with no sign of it coming I am resigned to the fact that they have stolen my money and will never hear from them. If it was possible to give a negative star rating that I would do to highlight just how bad they are. I also made the mistake of assuming the site was Irish. Will think twice about buying items from UK/British based companies from here on. A complete joke of a "company".

Irish buyers beware

Irish buyers beware. Like all the reviews before you will be charged vat and the an poste charge for administering this. Other companies include costs up front at point of purchase. So for a part for a coffee machine (of which I bought 2 ) the cost was in euros 10.76,post 6.99, and then when you get the notification from an poste - vat 2.93 and 3.50 admin fee. I’m trusting delivery will happen now I’ve paid the fee.

VAT included or not?

*Update*: I received a full refund - it took a few emails and a month but I did get it. 👍

-------

Same as everyone below - received An Post VAT charge notification even though buy-spares.ie has an Irish VAT reg number on its website and states that euro prices include VAT. (Took screenshot.) I didn't pay the charge and An Post have now sent it back.

It was parts for a dishwasher (38eur incl. P&P) but customs form said "coffee grinder parts"...

Waiting to see if I get a refund...

Thieves - AVOID!!!

Thieves. Pretending to be an Irish company. If product ever arrives I'll be paying extra for the VAT. Been over two weeks now and received an email asking me to leave a review of the product. Tried to contact them twice over the past week and they don't respond. AVOID!!

Not an Irish company, deception

Not an Irish company. Ordered a €22 item, and got hit with €7.50 customs and service charge by an post. I thought it was Irish company because of the .IE domain name. Avoid.

Deceitful company

Deceitful company purporting to be Irish until you get the confirmation email showing that it's based in Birmingham. VAT then charged by An Post as soon as it arrives in Ireland for delivery. Avoid.

A puppet "Irish" website

A puppet "Irish" website which is actually delivering products from the UK - I was charged customs of €4.84 for two packs of vacuum freshener bullets (value €5). Also, they split the order, so I'm still awaiting my very-much-needed vacuum bags (for a Sebo machine, which is German) over two weeks later - and no doubt more customs duties to come. So annoyed.

Just a front for English company

Just like everyone else it seem s logged on to buyspares.ie expecting an Irish company but surprise surprise revenue contact me looking for money ! I contacted the company and basically told me it was my own fault for not reading terms and conditions ! All I wanted was a part for my washing machine not to be reading terms and condition s !!! They are NOT MAKING IT CLEAR ENOUGH THAT THEY ARE AN ENGLISH COMPANY PRETENDING TO BE IRISH! add thirty per cent onto price when your ordering and that's your real price but not a good company very dishonest!!!

Never again

Never again, the worst online company I've ever delt with, 14 days to ship from UK to Ireland... IRELAND... Apparently its now lost.

The fact it says its an Irish company is another sham. I'm sure consumer affairs will like to have a look at this.

Avoid this Company.

I bought two items on 13th of March. The website trick me because I was sure that this was an Irish Company. After 1 week I received the Irish custom notice to pay the VAT. I paid on time the fee and I asked to Buyspares customer service to refund the VAT paid for the UK.
After plenty email to the customer service has replied that I am entitled to have that refund.
Meanwhile Irish Custom and AnPost with their incompetence and with none reason, returned the items to Buyspares. That said, Buyspares has not replied to my email sent in relation to the items returned. Don't waste your money and your time.

Ireland buyers be aware

Bought a spare part from the site. Assumed it was an Irish site as it has a .ie domain. However, the part is shipped from the UK so you have to pay VAT on entry due to UK not being part of EU.

This defeats the convenience of buying on-line as now have to go to post office to pay VAT to get the goods!
