Buyer beware, terrible experience. Ordered part that was "In stock" only to receive an email after making payment to say it was on back order. Waiting almost 2 months, still no part, no update. Created several tickets, got no response. Not possible to contact by phone. Sham company!
Watch out.
Not an Irish based company though they give the impression that they are.
Price quoted is only part of what you pay because of hidden customs charges that they don't warn you about.
A sneaky set up and slow delivery.
Shop elsewhere wiyh a more transparent and honest company..

IRISH BUYERS BEWARE !!!!!
IRISH BUYERS BEWARE !!!!!! Purchased Care & Protect 3 in 1 Limescale remover for washing machine from Buy-spares.ie. This is a company based in the UK using an Irish domain website to sell their products. Purchased product for €21.23 and charged €9.50 customs duty. Also, item was branded as a electric jar opener so not sure if this increased the import duty.
Company fronts as Irish but infact is…
Company fronts as Irish but infact is based in UK, bought switch panel for €10 and now have to pay €5 customs charge, total fraud, I will be reporting you for this scam.
Scam pretending to be an Irish website…
Scam pretending to be an Irish website will be reporting to ncsc as this is against the law and a violation of trading rights. Spent 15 euro to buy hoover bags and have now been sent a custom charge to pay 7 euro or else I will not receive my item. Beware they are fraudulent and misleading vulnerable consumers
buy-spares.ie is UK company but buyspares.ie is a genuine Irish company !
Echoing a previous comment (but more details)
buy-spares.ie are dishonestly masquerading as an Irish based company (buyspares.ie), but are in fact based in England. You will get a hefty customs bill about a week after you pay them. Avoid!
More details: buy-spares.ie is a UK Company. This means any product you buy from Ireland will get a customs bill added. (you don't find this out until it arrives in the postal dispatch centre)
buyspares.ie (no https) on the other hand is an Irish company (Limited company based in Tullamore) and they had the same product I was looking for but slightly cheaper and there are 'no customs bills' !
I made a complaint to the owners of the .ie domain: about buy-spares.ie
If you were also affected by this or any other site masquerading as Irish, I would recommend you to do the same.
Lesson learned
Why didn't I search for reviews of this company before I ordered from them? Lesson learned. They are very dishonestly masquerading as an Irish based company, buy-spares.ie, but are infact UK based. You will get a hefty customs bill about a week after you pay them. Avoid!
This company are nothing short of…
This company are nothing short of thieves. They are not Irish based. I bought a twin pack fridge filter for total
Of €58 incl postage. Got a VAT bill for €17 which i paid. Parcel arrived with only 1 filter and they refuse to send the other one even though I paid VAT on full amount. Avoid them, sadly too late for me and a lesson learned
Scam,not an Irish company,do not use…
Scam, not an Irish company,do not use ,use local instead you will be charged more than you first thought
Dishonest company misleading Irish customers
How I wish I had read these reviews before ordering from buyspares.ie! As others have said, they have clearly set up an Irish domain website with prices in Euros to try and con Irish customers into thinking they are ordering from Ireland. There is nothing on the website help materials that mentions customs charges, and no part of the ordering process indicates goods are being shipped from the UK and may be liable to customs charges. This should be clearly stated on the order/delivery pages. I have emailed their customer service team to complain after I received An Post notification about the customs charges due, but I don't expect they will do a thing about it, this is clearly a deliberate operating model.
Ordered a lamp for my fridge
Ordered a lamp for my fridge, I am aware that UK is no longer in the EU and items purchased May have customs duty to be paid on the item. So I purchased on this site which has a .ie domain. I thought I was purchasing from an Irish company and all taxes and customs duty was included in overall price. Three day’s
After purchase I got an email from An Post for customs duty that had to be paid on the item before it would be delivered. When I queried this with the company they referred me to there terms and conditions. I would not buy anything Else from this company as I believe they are not honorable.
As others have said
As others have said, not an Irish company and you will pay VAT and An Post charge. I won't use them again because of their dishonesty.
EDIT: When I complained, the company did refund the VAT and extra charges.
AVOID these scammers.
Very misleading. Making you think they are in the EU but are not. So customs has to be paid on goods. That’s more than half on top of the price of goods. Make inferences them over priced.
Scammers. AVOID. 😡
buyspares.IE is not an Irish website…
buyspares.IE is not an Irish website site! No contact available!
Even though there is a French depot they won't use it to stop customs charges!
DO NOT USE
Terrible company
Terrible company. Ordered part from Ireland having paid vat and postage didn't expect the hassle to come. Post Office required me to pay customs duties Irish vat and post office fees before they delivered meaning a trip into town and queue to pay because transaction number wasn't right to pay on line.after around 10 emails to get back english vat , think to Indian office, gave up. To add insult to injury the part was for a later model cooker even though I gave all the right codes and identification numbers. So overall a complete nightmare. Don't go near this company with a bargepole. Kevin Marshall
Not an Irish based company at all
Not an Irish based company despite the .ie domain. Nothing to indicate that taxes and charges will be added. Email sent and the response I got was have a look at our terms and conditions. Not at all acceptable. Please go shop else where. Thought I was supporting Irish. You live and learn.
Dishonest
Claims to be an Irish website with an .ie address but they are a UK business which haven't paid customs charges so you get slapped with an extra customs bill.
Beware of custome charges
Beware of custome charges. Website appear to be Irish, there is no way to tell that it will require shipping from UK until you get custom charges notification!
Misleading and fraudulent
Misleading and fraudulent
Made the mistake of ordering from here before checking trust pilot but it was the only place that had the spare part I needed. They use a .ie domain to appear Irish and give all their prices in EUR but they are based in the UK and ship from the UK, they do not tell you this in any part of your order nor when checking the site do they tell you they ship only from the UK. Like everyone else I have now been charged import and customs on the part I ordered
The .ie domain has caught quite a few people out, its a dodgy practice so avoid them at all costs
