Wore this hiking in Banff and regretted it

Thought I'd be cute wearing a dress on the trails. Spoiler: I was not. The skirt kept blowing up, the fabric stuck to my legs when I sweated, and it offered zero protection from bugs. It IS a cute dress for literally any other occasion though.

Hi Zoe! We laughed (with sympathy!) reading this — a flowy dress is unfortunately no match for a Banff trail, but we're so glad it's still earning love for everything else. Thanks for the honest, generous review — and for the laugh! 🥾

Runs about a size large

I normally wear an 8 in Canadian sizing and the 8 was swimming on me. Exchanged for a 6 and it fits much better. The material is nice - a substantial ponte knit - and the structure holds up well throughout the day. Just size down.

Hi Jade! Thanks for the helpful sizing note — really useful for future shoppers eyeing this piece. So glad the 6 is fitting beautifully and that the ponte is holding its shape through long days. Thanks for the lovely review! 💛

Perfect for Canada Day celebrations

Red and white obviously but in a classy way - it's a red fit-and-flare with white piping details. Wore it to the fireworks on Parliament Hill and it was festive without being tacky. The cotton is breathable for July heat. Love love love.

Hi Jade! Red and white done right is genuinely a design challenge, so "festive without tacky" is exactly what we were aiming for — thank you! Fireworks on Parliament Hill sounds like the perfect debut. Thanks for the lovely review! 🇨🇦

Threw this on for a cottage weekend

Sometimes you just need a dress you can throw on over your bathing suit and walk to the general store in. This is that dress. The oversized linen shift is breezy, doesn't need ironing (I mean who brings an iron to the cottage), and the oatmeal colour goes with everything.

Hi Jade! "Throw on over a bathing suit and walk to the general store" is honestly the platonic ideal of a cottage dress — and yes, no iron required (because, as you said, who's bringing one anyway). So glad the oatmeal is going with everything! 🌾

This wrap dress is a lifesaver

As a new mom I needed something I could nurse in discreetly nd this wrap style is perfect. Easy access, the print hides any spit-up stains, and it's machine washable. Wore it to a baptism in Montréal and felt like a real human again.

Hi Claire! "Felt like a real human again" might be the most meaningful review we've ever read — congratulations on the new little one. Easy nursing access, print that hides the inevitable, and machine-washable were all very intentional. Wishing you many more good days in it! 💕

Prairie dress vibes and I'm here for it

Giving cottagecore realness and I absolutely love it. The ditsy floral print, the puff sleeves, the tiered skirt - it's like something out of an Anne of Green Gables remake. Wore it to the Stratford Festival and felt like a main character.

Survived a rainy Vancouver day

I live in Van so everything I own needs to handle rain. This jersey dress dried quickly after getting caught in a downpour on Granville Street. Didn't lose its shape either. The dark navy hides water marks well. Practical and cute.

Hi Mila! Granville Street in a downpour is the ultimate Vancouver stress test, so dries-fast-and-keeps-its-shape is high praise indeed. Practical and cute is genuinely our north star. Thanks for the lovely review! 🌧️

Decent for the price point

Got this on sale at the Bay for like $40 and honestly it's fine. Not the most amazing quality but for a casual summer dress it does the job. The linen blend wrinkles but that's linen for ya. Good enough for farmers market runs.t

Hi Isabelle, thanks for sharing your thoughts — we're glad it's earning its place on farmers market mornings! Linen is famously a wrinkler, so we totally hear you there. Ordered for a gala in Toronto

Needed something for a fundraiser at the ROM and this fit the bill perfectly. The sequin detailing catches the light beautifully and the cut is sophisticated. Only complaint is the zipper is a bit finicky but once it's on it looks stunning.

My go-to for après-ski dinners

After a day on the slopes in whistler i throw this on and feel instantly put together. The knit fabric is warm enough for mountain restaurants and the burgundy colour is so rich. Not too fancy, not too casual. Exactly what i needed.

Wore this to a wedding in Muskoka

Honestly was stressed about finding something for an outdoor wedding up in cottage country but this dress was perfect. The colour is a beautiful sage green that looked amazing against the lake backdrop. Light enough for August humidity but still felt elegant. Got so many compliments from the bride's mom eh.
