Generally excellent product. BUT the LE “launcher” has such a stiff trigger, it’s a challenge to fire with precision. It requires too aggressive a squeeze. This seems like an odd design “flaw”—disappo... See more

Rachel is a rock star!
Rachel was very polite, professional, and knowledgeable about the issue I called about. She clearly explained to me what had caused the issued and offered to send me replacement parts to quickly correct the problem and get us back up and running.
Great product and customer service
Great product and customer service.
Easy to contact with quick response and follow up.
Rachel was very helpful getting me the information I needed.
Rachel is awesome
Rachel is awesome. She helped me fix a mistake that I made in my order with no problem. She is very personable and is a wonderful customer service rep. You should give her a raise.
Rachel M is boss!
Rachel M. was very pleasant and helpful. I chatted with her on 2 occasions. She gave me the confidence I required to make a sound, intelligent and informed purchase.
Thank you Rachel!

Excellent customer serve experience
I bought the LE model with accessories for my wife as a surprise. She was thrilled to get a Byrna but felt the smaller CL would work better for her. I contacted Byrna expecting this exchange to be complicated as all the CL accessories would also need to be exchanged. I spoke with customer service rep RACHEL who quickly processed the request and was EXTREMELY nice to work with. This experience spoke well for the company and I look forward to a long term relationship with them.
Rachel was super
Rachel was super! She was the main reason my wife and I did purchase our Cl. She is also a credit to her Boss. She showed me respect. She was very knowledgeable caring positive polite energetic and post post important very sincere!
Great customer service
Great customer service! Thanks to service rep Allison Griffith, I was able to find information regarding shipping status of my order. My email address had been incorrectly inputed and there was no order showing for me. I had my credit card receipt indicating that payment was made on the order. Allison was about to locate my order and shipping status by the last four digits of the credit used. That was a great relief on my part and I owe it all to Allison and her superb investigative skills and customer service knowledge! Thank you Byrna for hiring excellent employess.
WOEFULLY INADEQUATE INSTRUCTIONS AND SAFETY RULES
I'm an NRA certified instructor and a gun salesman,19 years.
I received my Byrna CL a couple days ago. It has a 9X5" card with the instructions, (instr), and a smaller card with the all caps, big word “WARNING!”
Warnings with firearms usually list the 4 rules of firearm safety, and advise reading all the instr, etc., so I, ignored that card and followed the instr to operate the Byrna.
When I get to installing the CO2 canister, the instr are woefully inadequate. The SMALL picture shows a little black square, gun, canister and magazine. It says use the cap tool built into the magazine base. Looking at the base, I see no tool, I’m wondering what the little black square is. Somehow connected to the mag? I finally figure out that the “tool” on the mag is an allen wrench that fits the canister cover. The instr never mention that.
I get the cap off and insert the canister, but it doesn’t seem to go in all the way. The instr say to screw the cap back on stopping when there’s resistance, then tightening it 1/4 of a turn. Doing that, the cap is not fully seated.
I go over the instr card, front and back, look through the gun case for, a complete instr booklet, but no. I look at the “WARNING!” card and IT has the instr for installing the canister. You must firmly press it in.
REALLY BYRNA? Vital instr in a separate place? In chat I find the card is instructions for all models, the “WARNING!” card only comes with the CL. Come on Byrna, can’t you just ONE CARD for all launchers to avoid confusion?
The mag loading instr are the same as for any other pistol. Next, it tells you to, “Make sure the breech indicator is down and the breech is empty." Picture for that instruction shows the black top of the gun with small red circle on the top. That spot is a opening with a weird thing in it, there’s no telling if that’s the breech indicator or if it’s up or down. These great instructions don’t tell you ANYTHING about how to check if the breech is empty. Chat to learn that.
The “WARNING!” card had a second instr, shoot it 30 times then, “Run one oil canister through the system.” Well, I could NOT find any oil canister. Chat. I find out that the launcher doesn’t come with that, it comes with the purchase of 10 extra canisters. It seems that a VITAL item like that for maintenance would COME WITH launcher! I look in the box of extra canisters and find one that has, in FAINT PRINT “OIL.” It would be VERY easy to use that one when you didn’t mean to! THAT canister should be marked BOLDLY!
The instr give NO indication of how long the CO2 canister will last or how to know when to replace it. The instr don’t say once you pull the trigger the first time, the canister will bleed off in a day or so. GREAT! I use it once, and think I’m still good. THAT would turn out to be a BIG problem if in a week or month need to use it again -- well you know what they say, The loudest sound in a gunfight is click!
MOST IMPORTANT of all, Byrna should ABSOLUTELY include the 4 fundamental rules of firearm safety. (The do include #3, in small print.) The rules would apply to a Byrna just as much as to any other gun!
I got an email asking me to leave a review, and had a link to do so. Clicking that link, does NOT take you to where you can leave a review! It’s just reviews from others.
CHAT. I ask about that and get a person who answers my question like this, “...we would love if you could leave us a testimonial on our Trustpilot page. This really HELPS ME OUT PERSONALLY when it comes time for my yearly performance review." [emphasis mine]
Doesn't that sound like I’m leaving a review FOR HER?
BYRNA! You REALLY NEED to include MUCH better instruction, with better pictures. A wise saying goes, “Don’t say things so people can understand you, say them so they can’t help but understand you.”
AND INCLUDE THE FIREARM SAFETY RULES!
P.S. I’m the guy who got Sean Hannity to stop using the ridiculous phrase, “Less lethal.” Look, weapons are either lethal or they’re not, there’s no in-between.
HELP FROM SUPER WOMAN Rachel
Rachel, who works in customer service for Byrna, took time to discuss the care and maintenance of the new LE I just purchased. She went over the cleaning and oiling of the LE, and she told me what I needed and what I did not need. Thanks again Rachel! By the way, I still nominate Rachel for a pay raise.
Excellent Customer Service
Ordering from Byrna was easy, the product is great, and the support was exceptional. Samanta on the support team was extremely responsive and very helpful and was an example of what great CS should be.

I have never had even the slightest problem working with the company and customer service. Samanta was great as always. She knows the products and procedures and gives prompt and courteous answers right away.
More Difficult than it Should Be
I like the way the device operates, but it's EXTEREMELY difficult to change the CO2 charger. The screw-in plug doesn't have a good way to hold, which means it's cumbersome to remove and cumbersome to replace. In fact, when I tried replacing a cartridge I ended up wasting the cartridge because the screw cover was loose. My thumb was sore with all the work. So this device gives a false sense of security because reloading in a pinch becomes dangerous

Fantastic customer service
Fantastic customer service. Had a small problem with my Byrna target and they immediately responded and sent me a replacement. Outstanding service. This company is incredible.
Lack of power
I would not recommend this launcher (CL) nor the Pepper Projectiles. The Pepper Projectiles bounce off the target and only break when they hit the ground.
Rachel was able to give me the…
Rachel was able to give me the assistance that I was looking for. She was courteous and polite and gave me all of the information to help me with my installation.
This is the reason why I have recommended friends and family to Byrna. They have the best quality of service and this is what separates them from the rest....Thank you so much!!!
WHAT A GREAT FIRST TIME EXPERIENCE FOR ME!
Being a first time caller & not quite sure if I ordered everything that I needed to keep my loved ones & myself safe I was lucky to have a very knowledgeable & friendly CS representative guide me through my order. She made me feel comfortable while ordering & helped me to order the proper items. It felt like I was talking to a friend, not someone trying to get as much money for my order as she could. I hope when I call back I will be able to have this person help me out again. Thank you!
I don’t recommend the Mission 4
I don’t recommend the Mission 4 unless you’re sure that only two or three rounds is all you need to turn someone around. After maybe five uses, the mags will only let the first couple rounds go into the chamber and then fail. Also, don’t use practice rounds. They make this faulty equipment shoot and/or jam even worse. Don’t waste your money on something you can buy a real firearm with that is much less likely to let you down. If you’re in the market for something like this, you need to be sure you get something that won’t fail you. This isn’t that.
Rachel is the bomb for Byrna!
I received my Byrna, but didn't receive an owners manual with it I called and Rachel answered within a minute. I asked that she send me one, I am 78 and my husband is 75. I wanted it by Father's Day. Just got it today, not one, but two. Love 😍 her.
You have incredible staff. I will send another review after my husband and I test your product. Keep up the great customer service, and give Rachel a great big raise!!!
