Dave and Eduard were absolutely…

Dave and Eduard were absolutely fantastic, and extremely helpful, humane and efficient and professional (despite an absolute lack of communication in the management office, leading to great stress and inconvenience to myself.) But yes, absolutely, would recommend Dave and Eduard any day! Absolute gems. And they were so kind and accommodating to my three months old puppy running around their ankles whilst moving! Thanks guys!

Lost some of my most sentimental and…

Lost some of my most sentimental and beloved items. Wanted a receipt for every item lost, and eventually I accepted a refund of about 15% of the worth of my items lost. Truly the worst experience I’ve ever had with a company. Glad to see their trustpilot now reflects this awful companies reputation.

I don't normally write reviews but my experience with Stored was so bad I want to let other people know what happened before they decide to hire them...

When I first contacted the company I asked, if the amount of stuff was more than I estimated, would they still take it and bill me extra accordingly. They said yes, so I decided to hire them. However on the day of the collection they didn't take all my stuff, leaving me on my day of moving out having to scramble around to find another van, and I missed my move out date arranged with the landlord.

When I called up the next day to discuss with them, the person who answered was the rudest person I have ever dealt with in customer service. When I briefly explained what had happened, he aggressively said 'I know what you're trying and you're not going to get it'. I had merely called up to discuss, and have never had someone be so aggressive on the telephone towards a client. Their final excuse was that they ask you to estimate the amount of things you have before they arrive. Yes they do - but if the company also says they will take the stuff even if it is extra, then you would like to believe what they are saying is true.

I also hired them with my flat mate who was also having his stuff collected. Collecting his stuff took 10 mins, and mine one hour. So I understand why they billed me for extra collection time, but why him also? I think you are allowed 30 mins collection time (?) so why would we both be charged when his was less than his allocated time? In fact they were doing two collections from one address not two, so this would have been more simple than collecting from two addresses.

They then lost his duvet and part of a bedside table. When he asked for compensation, they said he had to produce a receipt. Who keeps a receipt for a duvet from years ago in case they have the misfortune of using a company like Stored? So obviously when they lose your stuff (which seems common from other reviews) its impossible to get compensation.

When I tried to get my stuff back, they also had some excuse that there was a flood at the storage site they had no control over and Thames Water wouldn't let them on the premises. This caused me further inconvenience as I didn't live at the delivery site and went there for no reason, having to take time off work. I have no idea if this is true (from other reviews it seems they say this a lot), but it delayed my collection for a week or two and wasted a lot of my time.

When I did eventually get my stuff back, they continued to bill me for storage for 3 months after I had stopped using their storage. They only stopped charging me when I got in touch asking why they were still charging me for a service I was no longer using. If I hadn't noticed on my bank statement, they would still be taking money out of my account for nothing. Normally when someone takes money for nothing without the person's consent, there is a specific term for this!

When I tried to get my money back, the first payment was swift, but the further payments took about a month for them to pay back despite me chasing them by email every week. It was over 300 pounds they owed me, so not a negligible sum.

In conclusion then - a totally dysfunctional company, expensive, loses your stuff, and makes your life harder not easier. They also don't understand the very basics of customer service. E.g. if your customer feels the service hasn't been good, offer them something like a small discount off a further service. This goes a long way to making the customer feel that they haven't been treated like a mug, and that the company genuinely is trying to make an effort. You might even use them again and not write a bad review!

Damaged items, no customer support

My items were returned damaged (water) in December 2022. I reached out to the company in January 2023, I provided photos of the damage. I requested photos of my other items to confirm they were not also damaged. I did not hear back for 3 weeks. No photos were provided. I asked again for photos. I was sent picture of fewer than half of my items. I asked again. I received duplicate photos. No resolution as of 14 March 2023

What a scam!!!!

What an absolute scam. Do not use this company, I am extremely frustrated with the level of service. at the time of my booking and summary of the fee there was no mention of the pick up and delivery which is £250, this was news to me which I had received only 3 days before my pick up date making it impossible to arrange. I no longer wanted to keep my things with stored and wanted to get my things. They then force me to keep my items in storage for 3 weeks before I can make a pickup forcing you to keep items with them for at least a month. making you pay an additional monthly fee which is absolutely absurd. Do not use them. I regret it immensely!!! I wish I came on trusted pilot and checked their reviews here

It is a scam! Do NOT use!

It is a scam! They take your things and then request obscene money for them to return it.

Worst service I ever experienced. I wanted to save myself some hassle and all I got was stress every step of the way.
Do not bother, save yourself some money and hassle and move the items yourself.

Throughout the process I was lied to multiple times, I was not able to get into contact with the customer service for days at a time and to get the items back I was asked to pay obscene amounts of money.

Do NOT go with this company.

Items were also lost.

£6000 down and I can't get my items back.

This company failed to collect my delivery leaving me stranded. The price was double what they quoted. I'm now trying to get my items back, firstly they said because it was outside London Zone 2 I have to pay £170 to get it back which was never told to me at the beginning. Then they said there needed to be a two notice, and I had to pay for those two weeks that my items remained in storage, then they charged me for an extra month on top of those two weeks because I asked to get my items back the day before my direct debit.

I arranged for someone to be waiting for the drop off on site, they gave a 9 hour window for delivery. The driver called me whilst he was on his way to the drop off, an hour and a half later than the latest time they said, and now they say I'm liable.

Liable for the month I don't want to have my items in storage.

Liable for the driver being two hours late.

I don't appear to be able to get my items back, and inventory was not properly taken and I live abroad so I'm expecting items to be missing and damaged, and I'll be liable for that too.

Furious, I'm down about £6000 from this company and I can't get my stuff back.

Do not use this service

Do not use this service. There are a number of reviews stating the same. I have booked a return multiple times and each time am told there has been a accident with the van, a worker was injured, a flat tyre - this list goes on. I have had to book a hotel as my items i have stored have not been delivered and have no indication of when they will be delivered as each time I am told a different excuse. I am unsure if my items will ever be delivered and it is all of my possessions. It is impossible to get through by phone and I have left multiple messages. It is the worst customer experience i have ever had.

Made my hard times free of worries

Stored have literally been angels in some of my hardest times. When I’ve had to leave a home at a moments notice to not being able to afford the storage I needed they have quite simply taken away worries and made everything a breeze. They’re efficient, professional, always go the extra mile and after using them 3 times would happily use them a fourth. The ease of them packing, moving, storing and returning all for a very competitive price make them a no brainer to use 😊

Lost my belongings

Collection was fine, even if it felt a bit rushed. The return process was good, and I found the two guys delivering very helpful in as much as they could be.

The bad part… I’m writing this 2 weeks after the “return” delivery, and I’m yet to see a bulk of my items actually returned to me. The guys doing the delivery told me they couldn’t find my items as they hadn’t been left in the depot for them to load… Strange, but mistakes happen.

On the day, I called customer service who said it had most likely been put into another unit (who knows why it wasn’t in the one I paid for?) and they’d send someone to find it. The week after, I called again to be told they hadn’t had any update, then fast forward to now and I haven’t been told anything as to where my personal belongings are, or if anyone is actually looking for them.

I’d avoid at all costs if possible. You get what you pay for, and I think this is a lesson in that. It’s probably worth forking out a bit more for a storage service that actually does what they say they will.

Wish I could give 0 stars.

*Update*
Was compensated the absolute bare minimum for my lost belongings about 6 months later (£50 for each large shipping box they lost…). Now, writing this, I’m having to prove I was a customer in order to prevent them from trying to deleting this review. Absolutely deplorable behaviour from this company.

Great Team and Excellent Service!

I had close to 10 boxes worth of stuff and all of them were removed, stored and returned in great shape and form.
The removal team were very friendly and helped me when I ran out of tape to secure one of my boxes. Same with the customer service team, very easy to reach and quick responses.
Overall, very pleased with the services and would use this company again!

Horrible experience

This company is a complete shame, they say they are going to take care of your things and that’s a lie . They broke my monitor and lost one of my boxes and they do not care about it when I spoke to them they were reductant to help me with my case and give me any kind of compensation . This is the worst storage company I have ever used . Do not buy their services if you want your items back .

Customer Warning

One should be warned about using this company for storage. Several items were returned damaged, and one item was "lost". Moreover, the company does not care. There was no apology, in fact no communication at all. Thus, if one cares about personal belongings and would like to see them again and undamaged, it will be best to look elsewhere.
