Very very slow and bad service

Very very slow and bad service! Paid over £220 for seo every month for 6 months. I have seen no return at all. I am not ranking for any of the keywords we chose. All they did was write 5 half meaningful posts and crammed them with keywords. On the other hand I paid a content creator £100 and she wrote 5 meaningful blogs.
My website was not optimised for seo, the photos did not have alt text.

I then asked to become an admin for my website to change the design. They then stalled for weeks and weeks of me chasing them up. Claiming I have to sign a waiver and giving excuses of Christmas, then the manager's dad died which is tragic but as a client my marketing plan should not be stopped for weeks and they needed to have a back up. They then magically made me admin without even signing anything.
Now I have left them and declared I do not want to continue with them, nor with hosting or with email services. I woke up today and was charged for the email services anyway. Its an insignificant amount but the unprofessional conduct is driving me crazy.

We strive to ensure that customer service is our focus, and it looks like on this occasion you feel we have fallen short of our usually high standards.

I do agree that my father dying should not have stopped you getting access to your website, and we have already introduced measures to mitigate the risk of something similar occurring again.

We have refunded the £5.99 you were charged. I see that you only cancelled your mailbox on the 4th February 2023, 4 days ago.

As you are aware, our services carry a 30-day cancellation period. I have also waived this requirement for you.

Previously you have stated how happy you were with the service to the team. We are trying to understand at what point this changed, and how we can make things right between us.

You had several problems with your existing web designer, and the team carried out many hours of work free of charge for you.

You were very happy with the free website we designed for you, and we feel we had gone the extra mile with regards to the initial problems you faced, namely, chasing your previous designer for domain information which you did not have.

Also, due to the business name, your website was flagged by Sky for inappropriate content, although obviously this was not the case.

We spent further hours rectifying this issue for you, again free of charge. We were unable to install the theme your friend recommended as we do not build sites using a standard WordPress theme.

We also are unable to give you full administration access as the site was hosted on a multi-site network on our servers.

Regarding your keywords, we always state it can take between 3–12 months to begin ranking. Your site went live on 16/10/2022, 2 months after you signed up with us, and only 4 months ago.

When your site went live, this was initially on a brand-new domain (.com) as we did not have the original domain details. After obtaining your domain details we made the site live on the original domain (co.uk) on the 09/11/2022, only 3 months ago.

Considering your website was not live until at least 4 months ago, and even then, on a brand-new domain, we would not expect to see rankings for at least another couple of months.

We always optimise the websites we build in-house prior to going live.

We believe that the images you are referring to are images that you had uploaded yourself directly through the dashboard. These images will still have been optimised but they would fall into the standard flow of monthly optimisation and would not have been optimised immediately.

In addition to the 5 “half meaningful” articles to which you refer, all our articles are created from professional content briefs, which are designed to SEO optimise the articles produced against your competitors. The content brief is created with state of the art software to ensure that we get this process correct.

Although the articles may seem “half meaningful” as you put it, our writers walk the incredibly fine line between human readable and SEO optimised. To stray too far in either direction will directly affect your SEO rankings.

Each article written for you involves at least 3 - 5 hours of work from our content team. Approx. 1-2 hours research, 1-2 hours writing, and 1 hour editing and uploading.

In addition to the articles, free website, involvement in retrieving your website details and ad-hoc free work, we have also provided the following:

Think carefully before giving these guys any money

First of all, let me reiterate why I want my money back. Before I signed up with you, your staff promised to work in a way that would work for me. That's doing things verbally, not in emails and not filling out forms. English isn't my first language and writing wastes a huge amount of my time (as I am now). They agreed, but once they had my money insisted on doing things their way, that is via forms that I repeatedly told them I did not want to fill out.

This is why I want my money back. Clearly, we aren't on the same wavelength. I gave your staff a chance to do things by phone, as I had requested, and I once again got asked to fill out the bloody form. Now I just want to end the relationship.

Secondly, because I never filled out this form, nor did we go over all the questions on the phone, your staff have so far done no work whatsoever on my account, bar a phone call and an email to ask me to fill out a form. Because of this I found your call on Friday absurd and quite insulting. If there was any chance of still working together, there isn't any more. The idea that I am the one trying to scam you, simply for wanting my money back after your staff have made clear they either cannot or are unable to carry out the work in the way we discussed, is ridiculous.

By this stage, I want no more to do with your company and I think it is best for everyone that we part ways. Your "solution" of me still paying half of several thousands of pounds, for you to do zero work over the course of a year, is an absolute rip off and I think would appear this way to most people. I guess I must have ticked something about terms and conditions online but your staff never explicitly informed me about them or referred to the contract I was getting into. I would not have willingly entered a contract with no way out.

At this stage no work has been done, and I just want my money back. You can't force me into a relationship that as a customer I don't want to be in. If you refund me, I will go away quietly. But believe me, if you do not I will make clear what scammers you are on every platform available and in the press. My comments will make clear that all you are interested in is grabbing people's money and not working with them constructively.
Let's just call this a misunderstanding, a bad fit, and something stopped before it began. Give me a refund and we will part ways. Keep up this charade and we are both in for a storm.

It's important to mentioned that I've posted these same words on Facebook, but it was deleted and I was blocked.

Update: 14 February 2023
I am more than happy to update my review to say that since posting it, I have now received a full refund and been released from the contract. It doesn't serve anyone to remove my original review as that was the state of play before I kicked up a fuss. I do however greatly appreciate the problem now being rectified.
I also disagree with Byzz+'s characterisation of our conversations and what went on. I systematically posted reviews, like the above, outlining the situation, so that other potential customers would be aware and because otherwise I would have been out of pocket by thousands of pounds.
Your call today failed to initially explain who it was or why you were calling, but blurted out a load of legal threats if I did not remove the review. I will not remove it as it's in the consumer's interest to have full transparency about what went on from both sides, but I am more than happy to amend it, as I have now done. It's a shame we both had to waste so much time.

Update 20 March
Byzz+ requested that I amend the above text to remove names, which I have done. I dealt with both co-founders, two account managers and one digital consultant. I believe it makes sense for prospective clients to know who these people are, but Trustpilot rules apparently prevent me from giving this information.

We are sorry you are not happy with the service here at Byzz Plus.  

Having looked at your account, I can see that you have received a full refund for the 1st months payment.  We also released you from the 12 month contract, despite having completed the initial setup of your campaign including the setup of our reporting system, the initial consultations and the time taken in discussions with you.

Your initial complaint was that you had to complete a form for the service and wanted to do this over the telephone instead.  We agreed to do this for you, and you then said you had changed your mind and no longer wanted to go ahead as you felt we weren't a good fit.  

As a business, where we offer a large discount in exchange for entering into a legally binding minimum period, we rely on these contracts to ensure business stability and profitability.  

Where a client decides that they simply no longer wish to continue, our business suffers a financial loss.  When you initially signed up for the service, you were offered a month to month contract.  You chose to enter into the minimum 12 month term in order to obtain a discount.

Although you claimed to not have the time to complete any forms, you launched a systematic online abuse campaign towards Byzz Plus both on Twitter and Facebook.  These comments were removed from Twitter and Facebook as they violated their policies.  I believe you would have been made aware of the reasons via contact from these platforms directly.

We also contacted you today to ask you to remove the review, as you have already received a refund and this review is therefore untrue.  You hung up and refused to engage with us.

Really frustrated with this agency.
The founders who pitched the agency showed themselves excited and eager to work with us. When we signed the contract they stopped talking to us not even answering our concerns via email. The account manager who runs the account is the only person we can talk to, even when we escalate issues. Two months into this agency we are still discussing permissions and settings. Everything is incredibly slow. The reports they share are late and incomplete, it is a total disaster. We, unfortunately, signed a 6-month contract with them, in a very busy period for our business. Not only we are losing money in fees, but continuing to lose opportunities to grow the brand's visibility and generate sales. Would never recommend working with them. I'm super shocked to see all the positive reviews... they might have blacklisted us internally while giving good service to others? I don't get it.
