Review summary

Based on reviews, created with AI

Most reviewers were somewhat happy with their experience overall. Many people find the service easy to use, appreciating its ability to automate scheduling and integrate with other calendars, which saves them time and effort. Customers often highlight its effectiveness for one-on-one meetings and its flexibility in managing availability. The booking process is generally seen as straightforward for clients, making it easier for them to schedule appointments. However, some people were dissatisfied with the customer service, describing it as unhelpful and unresponsive to issues. There are also concerns about the website and user experience, with some finding the interface confusing, not intuitive, or experiencing issues with syncing and notifications. A few other people also felt that the service is cumbersome for team meetings or specific regional bookings, like those in the UK, where it reportedly provides incorrect time slots.

Terrible software

Would not recommend. Decided to give it a try recently. I showed up to a meeting with a potential client today, only to find out their email had a spelling error so they never received the meeting invitation. This is especially frustrating because Calendly sent me an email saying the client had ACCEPTED the meeting!? Why was there no bounce back notification? Why would it tell me they were coming when no one had actually rsvp'd? The interface is confusing and it apparently it can't the most basic things I need it to - like tell me the email address doesn't exist. I potentially lost client because of this...sickk. I'm going back to google scheduling.

Scammers

Scammers
I followed their process of downgrading to the free account as I didn't want the account anymore, yet they still charged me for the paid account.
And its a total pain in the ass trying to find a way to talk to anyone about it.

Great idea, terrible execution.

Does not integrate with iCloud.
Does not accept e-mails from Protonmail. I use it for recruiting. Good luck persuading strong candidates to change their mail provider only because calendar app has issues.
UI is not intuitive at all.

I am actively looking for a new booking system

I've been using Calendly for years, but I'm really getting fed-up with it. I am actively looking for new systems.

First the UI is a complete dog's breakfast. Second, I'm sure it works fine with Google. But with Outlook on Microsoft 365 the 2-way sync never works. This is frustrating as I have to manually login to book the time off - which defeats the whole purpose. Support is useless telling me to re-sync it which I've already done. I am actively looking for new options.

Harassment

I’ve got no experience with it as a consumer hence why the fair 3 stars rather than 1. But anytime I book a meeting with anyone who is using Calendly for their diary, I get absolutely bombarded with harassment from Calendly. 5 text messages and 5 emails to remind me of an upcoming meeting is absolutely outrageous. That’s 50 notifications for a 5 meeting day, ridiculous. Sort it out.

I can't stand it

I can't stand it, the nickel and dime business model. I tried to have an associate take a meeting for me and you'd think these morons were Fort Knox. I am cancelling.

Every time when I want to use it and update the profile I cant find anything. After using it for a long time, still feel like a new use. Awful.Time consuming so never even consider the paid version of it.

If you want headaches, use Calendly

It is not easy to use when you have mulitple emails linked to it. No customer service but through AI or chat which is useless bc all they do is throw lines upon lines of instructions which then do not work when you go to initiate those steps. Would NEVER recommend Calendly at all.
edit 1/6/26: they can call me if they want to know more. I had an awful chat on the phone with a rep who was of no help. i have the email summary so mine is a real review.

The idea is clear and useful

The idea is clear and useful. Basic scheduling works. Advanced features sit behind paid tiers. Customization stays limited. Integrations require upgrades. Pricing scales fast for simple needs. Good for basics, restrictive beyond that.

An excellent tool for automating student consultation scheduling. Calendly removes the need for manual management: set your availability, connect your video platform, and let it handle the rest. Highly efficient and reliable.

It's cheap, it behaves as such!

It's cheap. You get what you pay for. Just like gsuite there's no support!!! It doesn't matter if my calendar says busy. Calandly still allows bookings on booked blocks. There's clearly not 2 way communication between it and Google calendar!!

Poor tech support

After an update, the contact search no longer functioned in the app. Contacting support has gotten me nowhere. After submitting a ticket, no one has contacted me for days and when I try to contact them, they say they don’t have an update or any information to share. So basically if you have an issue, it doesn’t seem to go anywhere or get addressed.

Super glitchy

Super glitchy. Sends some emails automatically with Teams links and others without. So I have no idea who has the relevant links until someone emails me to say they didn't get one. I have ended up emailing them to everyone again. A frustrating duplication.

I really wish and want to give a triple 000, to express my frustration and time wasted by this tool. The appointment given I could not attend due to continued denied access by a fault and no way of informing the other party. NHS you have wasted our taxes here.

All good until my links with payment stopped working and problem has not been solved and there seems to be no idea as to when it will be solved. For me it's always been a really great tool, but this is a great inconvenience as I had to find a new system and reporgamme all my weblinks. Frustrating that they have not put a time line on this.
