Slow delivery, no updates

My only criticism is the lack of proper…

My only criticism is the lack of proper information.
The initial email acknowledging receipt of my order stated that I would be advised when the order would be delivered. With a delivery expected within 1-2 days I got a bit worried after 4 days and wrote to Callmewine to complain that the wine would be arriving late and that it would no longer be required.

I received a reply telling me that I would be given a full refund but that attempt to deliver had been made but there was no-one home when the courier came around.

I struggle to believe this as no indication as to the date I should expect the order was given and I have never had a problem with packages being left in a safe place when there is no one around to accept them.

Although very disappointed I hope to use this company again simply because they have a very good selection of wines which are difficult to find elsewhere.

Wrong bottle, no updates

They sent me a wrong bottle of wine of inferior value than the purchased one. The experience with the Customer Service has been terrible, after a week still no updates, they only replied initially saying that they were checking with the warehouse..
A mistake with the packaging can happen but a serious company would fix the issue in no time.
I`ll never use this company again.

I ordered wine from Italy

I ordered wine from Italy. I received half my order, but never received the 2nd half. It's been 6 months. I received an email talking about we're checking with the courier..Fedex. They've sent this email twice in 6 months. Spent close to $300 for the wine including shipping. Very dissapointed.

Do not use

Ordered 6 bottles of fine white wine. What arrived was 1 bottle of cheap red wine. Wish I had read these reviews first.

Unhappy to happy!!

I rated this Company zero stars in my previous rating. However they have proved to be so efficient and have updated me regarding my order. Although frustrating, they have updated me and apologised and given me a full refund. Thank you!!!

Only 5 of my 6 bottles arrived

Only 5 of my 6 bottles arrived, loose, in a cardboard box with red wine stains on the labels. It seems as though the missing bottle was broken by BRT the courier company then put in another box and shipped anyway! I called the customer service number which went straight to answerphone, saying that they were too busy to respond, telling me to message them instead on their website. Wrote the message but when you click 'send' the website doesn't actually let you send the message! Definitely do not risk buying fine wine from this seller!

Theft of order

I ordered twice from this company. Twice the orders arrived with one bottle missing. Twice they asked for photos. And twice I sent them. They offered a coupon---not a refund. This means in order to have compensation you have to order again. Either the theft occurs at their warehouse (which I suspect) or with their shipper. Apparently they can't or don't want to control it. If you want to have all the bottles you order, order from another supplier. After reading this review, the supplier refunded. When I posted the review, he hadn't offered a refund and it was only because of the review that it was offered. So contrary to their response, my review was entirely accurate.

I contacted the customer support team on multiple occasions and their communications and responses were always timely and informative.

I contacted the customer support team and made a special request to ship a case of Bucci Olive Oil to my home in Keaau, Hawaii, USA. Normally their shipments are limited to Italy and Europe. The CallMeWine team went out of their way to accommodate my request and ship the Bucci Olive Oil. The shipment arrived well packed, undamaged, and promptly via FedEx.

Following your report of a missing bottle in your order, we immediately apologised for the inconvenience and asked you if the received package looked externally damaged or tampered with, to understand the origin of the problem.

Once you confirmed that the package was perfectly intact, we kindly asked to provide a photo of the packaging and at the same time, we checked with our logistics for any discrepancy of the missing item as well as verifying that the weight of the shipped package matched the corresponding number of ordered items.

We did not find any discrepancy on the logistic side, but you never wanted to send us a picture of the package nor the received bottles.

In such cases, our policy is to request any photographic proof, to be able to retaliate with the international courier for any problem and no customer has ever refused to send us this kind of proof.

Since you did not accept a discount coupon as an apology for the inconvenience, we have in any case refunded the amount for the missing bottle.

in seguito alla sua segnalazione di una bottiglia mancante, ci siamo subito scusati per l'inconveniente e le abbiamo chiesto se il collo ricevuto le sembrasse manomesso o danneggiato esternamente in modo da poter capire da dove nascesse il problema.
Una volta che ci ha confermato che il collo era perfettamente integro, le abbiamo chiesto di fornirci delle foto dell'imballo e contestualmente abbiamo chiesto al nostro magazzino di verificare le giacenze dell'articolo mancante e il peso dell'imballo spedito.
Non abbiamo trovato alcuna discrepanza, ma Lei non ci ha mai voluto mandare la foto del pacco.
In casi come questi richiediamo sempre delle foto per poterci rivalere sul corriere e nessun cliente si è mai rifiutato di mandarci delle prove.

Dal momento che Lei non ha accettato un buono sconto sul prossimo ordine, abbiamo provveduto comunque a rimborsarle l'importo relativo alla bottiglia non ricevuta.
