This was the second time I have used Camino Ways. I would not recommend them – I found the process of booking impersonal compared to the first time, and the communication – except when luggage went missing – was inadequate.

The sales and booking teams are all very responsive and explain options well.

We were very pleased with our CaminoWays experience. They planned all our lodging and transferred our luggage daily. We stayed in a variety of accomodations which we enjoyed. Some nights dinner was included. The pilgrim dinners were our favorite. And our luggage showed up every day! It was like magic!

Prompt replies when booking Camino and always helpful each step of the journey if we encountered a need to make contact.

Good accommodation, very accurate info about the days walking, distances were virtually spot on.
Baggage transfers worked very well.

The Camino Ways team did an outstanding job preparing me for my pilgrimage. My journey started when I watched the movie The Way for the 3rd time, as it was clear that I was called to walk the Camino. There was also no doubt that I needed to walk the Frances route. I began my research immediately after I the conclusion of the movie in December of 2024 and my search engine had your website as a top ranking. I began with your homepage and was immediately drawn deeper into the immense vault of information you offer the website visitor. I visited other tour-related websites, and none compared to the breadth an depth of the information you provide.



After a few months of pre-planning, I emailed your team with a list (a big list) of questions and scheduled a call to review. The one-on-one was extremely helpful in understanding the scope of walking 480 miles on the Camino. I must say that I never felt like I was being sold and never felt rushed to decide and pull the proverbial trigger on Camino Ways.



I locked in your service the week of thanksgiving 2025 and proceeded to make arrangements for flights. Once my flights were confirmed, the plan began to take shape. Although I had a few more questions regarding “rest days” and airport transfers, my emails were always responded to promptly and thoroughly.



The day of walking my Camino was July 4th, 2026. The airport transfer was seamless. The hotels were always clean, and their staff was always accommodating. After the first week I began my walk before many of the hotels served breakfast, so the hotels (bed and breakfast) offered a “picnic” that was made for me and available prior to me leaving the hotel in the morning. One hotel did forget but sent me an email first thing in the morning apologizing for the mistake and tied a bag of goodies to my luggage for delivery that afternoon. Amazing! Luggage transfers were seamless and almost always arrived at my hotel prior to me checking in.



The online planner/ portal worked seamlessly and was a huge help during my pilgrimage. Camino Ways offers a “white glove” 5-star service and I highly recommend them. They were generous with their time, always accommodating, and patient with me as a infrequent international traveler. Excellent job!

Hotel arrangements along the Portuguese coastal camino route + extension to Muxia were reliable and met expectations. We appreciated that our hotel locations were on or near the walking route as we requested so we could more fully experience our progression towards Santiago and Muxia.

From initial enquiry to location of accommodation and meals all arrangements by Camino Ways were excellent. We are a group of 23 so wasn't easy to organise accommodation but all was done seamlessly by Jeremy and his team.

The organisation by Caminoways was exceptional, it made the whole planning process very simple.

We walked the via Francigena (last stage to Rome) in June 2026, and we were satisfied with the arrangements made by CaminoWays. Transportation to and from the airport, hotels/B&B’s, and the daily transfer of our luggage. Everything was handled as promised. All we had to worry about was the hike itself!

I had a great experience prior with Camino Ways prior to the Camino, but overall found the rooms we were in to be less than clean fairly regularly, especially our place in Santiago. The front desk staff there was rude and left other guests locked out before stated check in times. I was also disappointed when a change in accommodations earlier in the trip was not communicated. Even a brief text would have been helpful. I brings groups on the Camino each year and would not use Camino Ways again after this experience.

The arrangements made by Caminoways all worked well. The hotels were great choices and great experiences! No issues with transfers and luggage. Recommended!

Hotels were just as described, well located and met or exceeded expectations. Luggage transfer service was reliable and efficient. Booking was clear and customer service great. Thank you. This was our third trip with CamonoWays.

Pretty good coordination with luggage and hotels. Some hotels were better than others (as expected). But some walks were very long and some we very short. The balance could improve

Camino Ways offered a well planned roster that brought us from our starting point to our destination.
Being our first time, there are some things we would do differently. We booked with the understanding that we were getting bed, breakfast and evening meal. This was not the case in all venues. Nor did we have the same standard at every venue.
We were not aware of some of the changes until we went on the camino. We were pleasantly surprised to arrive at our first hotel and find that we were booked into the Spa, this was a very welcome treat.
It was only later that we realised that this was probably to make up for lesser accommodations along the way.
I think that when Camino ways knows there are going to be changes, hiding this among all the emails that come in, is not good enough, there needs to be a call to say, listen we have had to downgrade and there won't be a meal at.., or accommodations are not going to be the same in ....
We also had night time road works for two nights which kept us awake. We luckily had no walking after the first night of no sleep because we had planned a break. But when we contacted Camino Ways, they did nothing to accommodate us for the second night, or compensate for what we were experiencing at the time. This was disappointing. While they claim the did not know about the issue in advance, I would wonder that the hotels didn't know in advance given these are major road works in small towns.
Some of our accommodations were quite a bit off the Camino Way, adding to an already very long day and this would impact two days. These are things that really need to be clearer in the booking and planning tool while one is planning the event, and not something that one needs to go away and research independently through the booking process.
I think apps like Camino Ways could do more to make the event easier and more informative for new walkers like we were.

Wonderful hotels, so well organized!!

They sell you one service, but deliver you something not as good, and by the time you find out you are alone on the walk.

The hotels were awesome and the food was great.

The trip was flawless, excellent hotels and perfect baggage transfers along the way. Only issue was that wife had severe dehydration and heat exhaustion, so will have to return for her to finish a bit of the Camino. Not a bad excuse to book a whole other trip, and look forward to using Camino Ways again in the future
